Pricing was very competitive. Alex and his crew did a fantastic job installing my deck stairs and porch, they are beautifully done and very sturdy. Far better than what we had before. They were there within 2 days of hire and completed the work within 2 days. We told them not to paint but Alex threw in paint for just the cost of materials, which was nice. Although, I wish I had some say on the color since they didn't ask beforehand and I would have loved a natural stain instead. The crew was very kind, they'd even bring my packages into the garage for me and make sure to close the garage door when they were done. The work is sturdy, done right, and I feel confident will last. My only point of advice is to just be more mindful of the garden. I had just purchased and planted 6 new plants and had a succulent ground cover I had been working to grow out for years. It was all so trampled I thought maybe they had dug it out at first. It would have been nice to get warning so I could dig it up myself (since it was fresh planted) or for them to step around it. Overall, I'd definitely hire GAB again (and likely will to finish our deck soon) and will reccomend them to friends and family. They're responsive, quick, easy to communicate with, the work looks beautiful and done right, and the value for the price is terrific.

I thought the estimate was fair and appropriate for the cost of the materials, the demo, and the labor. A lot of the other contractors were giving me ridiculously low bids, which I knew were shady and they hadn't measured the area. They came within a few days in same day. I had a new, completely rebuilt dock, which is fabulous. They kept the area clean while they were working, and I barely knew they were there, totally respectful. I am so happy to have my dock back so that I can play on the lake.

If you could describe Exteriors West with one word it would be "Outstanding" with a capital O. Dan, who is owner and installer, has got the installation down to a science. Dan arrived at my home around 8am to install a 16' X 20' aluminum patio cover which he flawlessly and meticulously installed by himself and completed around 6:00pm, Including cleanup. He has been doing this work for 25 years now and it shows! Do you remember the days of great customer service and honesty of business owners in the 50's? Well there are a few still out there and Dan is one of them. Maybe that is why the Better Business Bureau has given Exteriors West an A+. He completed the patio cover then proceeded to look over the cover with a fine tooth comb, wiping down the cover removing any finger prints or dirt he saw then he continued to look it over and painting any scratch or blemish with the factory touch up paint. Just this alone took about 45 minutes to an hour this is how meticulous Dan is and what kind of commitment he has to make everything perfect. When Dan started the job he put down sheets of cardboard and covered my deck with it to protect it. And at the end of the job he swept up his work debris and picked up the cardboard. He then blew off my deck with a leaf blower and picked up any stray garbage. My deck was left cleaner than when he got there. Then fit and finish of my cover is outstanding! From the planning, selection of materials and construction, Dan has been very patient and full of information and suggestions. If you need a patio cover, carport, RV cover, railings, window awnings, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial, Exteriors West is the company you want to go with. He said he does jobs all around Washington and told me he had just returned from a commercial job in Oregon. Sorry if this sound like a commercial but when I find a company that does an outstanding job all the way around, I have to tell someone. And today, you're that someone.

Initially it didn't look like the project would ever take off, but they worked extremely hard with the city to get my project design approved. We added a much larger composite deck with a cover, outdoor kitchen and fire pit area. Mario P. was a fantastic project manager, if you are lucky enough to work with him on your project you'll understand why. He is so thorough, detail oriented and was very patient and responsive to all of our questions/concerns along the way. He always took the time to hear us and resolve any issues we ran into along the way and continues to do so now. He's great at his profession and is even a better person! He had an amazing team around him, Steve and Edwin did an incredible job installing our custom Azenco cover (awesome louvered cover system) that butted up against our house. There were some tweaks that had to be made along the way, but they were able to problem solve to truly make it one of a kind! Teagan with Rock Electric also did an incredible job, he had a sizeable task of installing 4 large Bromic heaters as well as running power and lighting to our Azenco cover and outdoor kitchen. He masterfully hid all the control boxes in an existing stucco pillar, which are located a good 125ft from our electrical panel in the gargage! Highly recommend the team at Timberline Patio Covers, so do yourself a favor and at least have them come out and give you an estimate. They likely won't be the cheapest price wise, but their quailty and craftsmanship are worth it!!

We hired Mark Schoenfeld / Multi-M to completely remodel our 2 bed / 1 bath home to a larger 3 bed…read more/ 2 bath home with a detached garage. The first architects we went to came up with drawings we were unhappy with and the cost estimates from contractors were way over budget. We talked to Mark as one of the contractors who referred us to another architect. I took the base drawings already completed to save some money and had this new guy do new drawings. They were much better. It only took one more meeting and a couple of minor changes to get something we were happy with. Mark acted as the primary contractor with his employees doing some of the work and other work being subcontracted out with Mark overseeing and coordinating it. Estimates were all met and change orders given a price *before* work was started. There were *no* surprise charges. Mark always gave us plenty of notice of timelines where our decisions had to be made so work could done on schedule. The work that was done has all been very good quality and any issues that arose, whether existing previously but unseen, or work that needed correction, was all been handled satisfactorily and professionally. Our overall experience with Multi-M was excellent. We would hire Multi-M again without hesitation. There were delays in the project, but I do not blame Mark for them. He did a good job of keeping things moving with all the different things that needed to be done in the proper sequence. A couple of examples; we opted to wait an extra week or more for an electrician whose bid was significantly lower than another one who could have started right away. Another was a delay caused when the insulation contractors missed an area that made Mark have to reschedule the city inspector to a later date (inspection required before the drywall can be installed). Still another was the painting contractor losing an employee when our work was scheduled to be done. Honestly we expected a few delays and had told Mark we want the work done right rather than rushing just to get it done. Because the work being done was extensive, trying to coordinate between everyone is not something I think I could even do. Mark has been very valuable with those skills. So yes there were delays, but not the kind that are inexcusable at least. I am not a good reference for cleaning up after themselves because that is one thing I told Mark I could do though they did all the heavy stuff. Sometimes workers did not do enough cleaning up when they were supposed to but Mark would make them come back and do it. They were also very nice about taking other things I wanted to get rid of with the rest of the construction waste. I would have rather done a lot of the detail clean up than pay someone else to do it. If you want to pay the extra labor for that, I am sure Mark would take care of it. Anytime I asked Mark about cleaning up issues, he always handled it to my satisfaction. The best thing about Mark Schoenfeld is I never felt like I had to watch my back with him. His honesty and integrity are impeccable as far as I am concerned. The employees and contractors he uses have all been hardworking and never made me feel uncomfortable about their character. I highly recommend Mark Schoenfeld and Multi-M Contracting. Mark turned our old 1942 built 2 bedroom / 1 bath house with lots of maintenance issues into a effectively new 3 bedroom / 2 bath house with a new detached alley garage for what I think was a very fair price and all the work done up to code with all of the required permits. We are loving it and the quality of the work still shows in that we have had no major issues for two years now.

Do NOT use this contractor. We gave them an architectural design to quote a job, and they gave us…read morea quote. They were not the cheapest, but they were supposed to complete quality work. Not only did they provide us with a bunch of change orders (their fault, clearly outlined in architectural notes) but they also did shoddy work that needed to be pointed out to them and that they were resistant to repair and fix. Clean up...we paid for it, but again sub par with debris in all of the drawers. Timliness...this project went way beyond the expected time frame. Do yourself a favor and utilize anybody else.
