I also needed the width of the gate widened because originally they made the opening too narrow, so they were able to widen the opening before the rest of the fence was installed. I appreciate them checking with me halfway through the project. A few weeks ago one of the posts was failing I put in a warranty claim. They came out quickly and replaced it. I am impressed they stood by their warranty. Amazing service and a great company to work with.

There was an incentive to sign a contract that day, which did state a deposit needed to be made. We expressed needing some time to think and didn't feel too pressured by the company to sign. Yes, they did reach out to us once in a while before we officially signed, (took us a bit to figure things out) but seemed like the normal type of sales check ins. In the end, we decided to move forward with Cool Cat and had a pretty decent experience with them. Yes, they're a bit more pricey than some others but we felt like overall the quality seemed better. The communication was a little spotty in the sense of being bounced around from project managers throughout the process. I don't believe the PM we were speaking with was there during fence installation. I'm thankful that they were pretty responsive with us when we had questions. In the end they did a great job and were happy with the fence. They worked quickly and efficiently and didn't leave a mess thankfully. They installed a turnbuckle for our gate which was a nice addition too. Gene was the main guy for the project and he did a great job!

Wow! I'm amazed that Cedar River construction doesn't have more reviews on Yelp. We contacted eight…read moredifferent contractors to just get a fence quote and only a handful of them actually got back to us. One even gave us a quote and when I called to book the job, they never called back. We found Steve's website online and he called us back within a day, was out to do the quote with in a few days after that and started the job within about a week! He was prompt, professional and not afraid of technology (I.e he knew how to respond via email--which was great because then we didn't play phone tag.) He used quality lumber from a local company, got the job done on time and delivered high quality work. His quote was just a bit less than other quotes (yea!), but generally all the quotes we got were in the same ballpark. So it was really his promptness, communication and professionalism that sold us. The site was clean and orderly after they left and we came home to a beautiful cedar fence. I especially like the gate design. If we ever re-do our deck or extend the fence line, Cedar River will be our first call. I'd recommend Steve's work to anyone!

They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. Tim's responsiveness throughout the project was amazing, which is rare to find these days. I am a perfectionist and expect the same of Contractors. I found only a few VERY MINOR issues along the way, but Tim and his excellent crew were right on it! Many months after the project had been finished, we requested a minor repair to our siding that was NOT even part of their work. They came up yesterday and fixed it for us! They went above and beyond! Also, we had a request for a unique fold-out shelf for feeding birds (which we make sure is never available to bears!). Tim designed something that works perfectly.
