What a beautiful experience with Bloom Cupcakes!…read more I had the absolute pleasure of working with Lorrie, the owner of Bloom Cupcakes, and I cannot recommend her enough. I found her online while planning a last-minute 90th birthday celebration for my mother, and I was immediately drawn to the elegance and artistry of her cupcake designs. I knew I didn't want the typical IG cake covered in thick fondant. What I wanted was something unique, beautiful, and fitting for such a monumental occasion. With only a week to go, I reached out, and Lorrie picked up the phone right away. From our very first conversation, I felt at ease. She didn't sugarcoat her availability or make empty promises. She was honest, realistic, and incredibly thoughtful in walking me through what she could create given the time and my vision. She asked all the right questions: about the theme, colors, decor, and what I hoped the cupcakes would convey. That same day, she sent me a sketch of her design plan, and I knew I had found the right person. Lorrie delivered exactly what she promised: gorgeous, custom cupcakes that wowed every single guest. Not only were they stunning to look at, but they were also moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. She even offered to help set them up at the venue, a gesture that speaks to her kindness and commitment to making sure everything is just right. People couldn't stop talking about the cupcakes, including the venue owner, who asked for her business cards on the spot! Lorrie is not only incredibly talented and professional, she's also just a lovely human being. I felt like I was working with a friend from day one. Every cupcake was worth every penny, and I will absolutely be using Bloom Cupcakes again for future events.

These cupcakes would be fabulous for any occasion. We've purchased multiple 4 packs and the decorating is always on point. Bloom is continuing to work on new designs. Packed properly for transportation, they survived the journey and were consumed in the evening. The lemon was both sweet and tart with a firm icing on top and that little dollop of lemon. Light and fluffy. The favorite was the red velvet which was also light and I would add, delicious. I'd have this one again. Small cakes indeed. Yum! I sent an email to the business to inquire on vegan cupcakes. They responded very timely stating…read morethey did offer this product. I placed an order online, prepaid and received a confirmation. When I arrived at the location to pick up my order, the cashier, Jalisa, stated that they did not have the cupcakes I had ordered and the owner stated I could request something else. I informed the cashier, that I requested vegan for a specific reason and something else would not be efficient. I then requested a refund, to which she replied, only the owner could issue a refund and that would have to be done the next day. With this being the first time patronizing this business, this was a bad business practice and I would not recommend this business to anyone looking for a specific order. The decent thing would have been to call me and let me know that my order would not be fulfilled, instead of making me waste my time traveling to a location which was 20 minutes away from my home. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES, AND NOT RECOMMENDED.

There are baked goods, desserts, and brunch and sandwich options, several of which have Dominican or other Latino roots. I had the chimi sandwich, which was delicious. A chimi is a Dominican street food, served almost like a burger, served with shredded cabbage in a mayoketchup sauce. La Dolcekca's chimi is a sandwich, and a dang good one at that. Absolutely delicious, and a sizable portion at that, served with a side of French fries. I also had a jugo de chinola (maracuya for most Latinos; passionfruit juice for non-Spanish speakers). Aside from the food being delicious, this place is adorable. This is clearly a business that someone really cares about. The decorations are super cute and feminine, with florals and several Parisian references. Bathroom is clean and tidy, as is the rest of the business. I am so glad I finally got to stop by and support this woman-owned, Latino-owned establishment. I am thoroughly looking forward to coming back soon!

Her two daughters are as determined and driven as she is as well as amazing chefs. I would go here religiously for lunch over the last year and I also brought all my coworkers anytime It was my turn to pick where we ate for lunch. It's tucked away and you probably wouldn't see it unless you were going there purposely. Once you get in, it's a very eclectic, antique, floral and colorful it's just a happy feeling when you walk into this bakery. All the different plates and tea cups that they have on the back counter behind the register are so cute. ALL the food from desserts to lunch to taking a BOX of empanadas for dinner... Everything is delicious. Nothing lacks flavor. I always come for the flan because it's the perfect texture. I could eat a whole pan. The beef empanadas go quickly so call in early if you wanna get an order in for lunch. I'm still working my way through all of the desserts so I recommend going on an empty stomach because you have lots of options to choose from. Give the drink of the month a try too!

I picked up their strawberry chiffon cake, and let me just say... it's still top tier. Light, moist, and just melts in your mouth without being overly sweet--exactly how a cake should be done. I also grabbed an éclair (because self-control wasn't on the agenda) and two long johns. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and worth every bite. What I really respect about Suarez is their consistency. The service is always fast, the space is clean, and they keep things moving without sacrificing quality. Whether you're popping in for a quick treat or placing a custom order, they've got you covered--cakes, cupcakes, cookies, donuts, all of it. Bottom line: 10/10 recommend. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out. Stop by and thank me later.

The bakery focuses on small-batch, homemade pastries and artisan baked goods, and there are definitely some standouts. The dulce de leche pastries are fantastic, and anything with guava is usually a great choice. Compared to the Optimist Hall location, the aesthetics here feel a little more understated. The display case was a bit sparse during my visit, though they did have some seasonal cookies available. One thing I wish they had is outdoor seating--it would be nice to grab a pastry and enjoy it outside. Parking here is very easy since it's in a large shopping center, which makes it a convenient stop. I also wish they stayed open later, because it would be a great place to grab dessert after dinner given how many restaurants are nearby. Insider tip: If you're visiting, keep an eye out for the dulce de leche or guava pastries--they're some of the best items in the case. Overall, a solid bakery stop for artisan pastries and baked treats, especially if you're already in the Park Road area.
