I've made it a personal mission to seek out all lemon cupcakes in the area. When I saw this place had an Italian Limoncello cupcake I was super excited and decided to drive out and give them a try. I got 4/$10 (lemon, key like pie, banana pudding and strawberry). I ate the key lime pie right away and it was delicious! The filling was my favorite. The lemon didn't have any filling which was a bummer and it wasn't really lemony but still good. I haven't tried the other two yet. I guess I keep my house too hot (78 ish) because the frosting kind of started to melt off so I put them in the fridge. I'll be back soon to give this place another try. I came here on a whim. I had to go next door to pick up flowers and decided to come here and try out a few cupcakes. I ended up getting 4 for $10. The owner was really nice and helpful. I ended up getting two birthday sprinkles, red velvet, and a chocolate and peanut butter cupcake. The frosting was very light and airy, not too heavy. The cake part was fresh and not dry. I was informed about an incentive if I bring the box back I will get a fifth cupcake for free since I purchased four. Definitely recommend and will return! How have I NOT reviewed this place yet? So cupcake delirium is amazingly tasty. The cupcakes are specialty cupcakes with something special per creation. The owner is very pleasant, she make the visits so awesome (as if that was possible) with her smile and eager explanations of the various cupcake creations. I've been here on numerous occasions whether to pick up treats for friends, snag a treat for myself after weeks of no sweets, to treat my little ones, etc. The bakery is hard but not so hard to find just don't miss that turn off Main into the parking lot. She has a nice table in the bakery to sit and enjoy your treat or have a chat with her about life and baking. I've had several pleasant conversations with her and her husband on occasion. Can't believe it's taken me this long to find this place! I love cupcakes and am pretty picky about what I'll spend my calories on. These are 100% worth it!! I stopped in to the shop very close to closing yesterday and was greeted by the owner - she is delightful. The variety of flavors offered is impressive. I tried the vanilla, mocha raspberry, and blackberry lime. The cake on each of these was moist, not too sweet, and very flavorful. (If something says it's mocha and raspberry, I want to actually be able to taste each flavor - and that is definitely the case in these cupcakes!) The mocha and blackberry cupcakes had fillings that were definitely freshly made and not just a sugary sweet jam. The frosting on these were flavorful, and sweet like an American buttercream but with a light and smooth texture more liked a whipped or Swiss buttercream. To me, this is perfection! These cupcakes are some of the most balanced I have ever had and I enjoyed every bite. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors. I also really like her box recycling incentive. This here is a review of the bakery itself, not the truck. Actually I'm not even sure if the truck is still a thing, but it would be cool to see it somewhere if so. Coming in is confusing at first. They're actually a part of the strip mall - at the very end. It's a cute set up. Very colorful and inviting. Parking is a pain. I recommend backing in. Inside they have a tall display case with about 8 different flavor concoctions. Seems like they change up most of these every day. They probably also have a daily limit where they shut down once sold out. They sell "day old" cupcakes on another shelf. I came in on Valentine's Day and they were going nonstop. I ordered a box of four which comes to $10. If the guy running the register didn't suggest it, I wouldn't have even known. (Even though there's a sign or it.) You can also buy just one for $3. So getting four is quite a deal. If I heard correctly, when you bring your box back in they'll give you a cupcake in exchange for it. I think that's awesome that they see the value in not wasting. Also, what a way to get people to come back in? I got a blueberry french toast cupcake with bacon on top. It was amazing. The bacon was just enough salt to pair up nicely with the sweet frosting. The filling of a sort of baked blueberry reduction was unexpected and scrumptious. I also got a banana pudding, red velvet and "death by chocolate" for my girlfriend. They were actually out of those but were making more in the back at that exact moment. They hooked me up. They put the cupcakes in plastic cups turned upside down. It's ingenious really. Great prices at $3.00, love the packaging because it makes it easy to transport - even though it's plastic - eh - what a challenge. I ordered the cookies and cream, red velvet, and Death by chocolate. Over all, I love the presentation and packaging. I ordered though Door Dash and they came in perfect condition. Taste: I only liked the cookies & cream. The other two were a little dry to my liking and I prefer cream cheese whipped icing. I am not a butter cream fan, but I know that is very popular and easy to decorate with, so I'll leave that alone. The red velvet was okay, I didn't get enough of a cream cheese taste and not much difference from the butter cream flavors - disappointing. Today was my taste test day, so I ordered from 3 places. This is the lil hidden gem in Charlotte/Pineville with big flavor. The shop is so cute, almost like stepping into a colorful cupcake. I started my fandom at their food truck and was so happy they opened a shop near me. They post on FB the daily cupcakes which I think I've had most of them but my favs are: the Elvis (banana cupcake, and candied bacon on-top of whipped peanut butter icing), the pecan pie (vanilla cupcake with a small slice of pecan pie baked in, whipped vanilla icing and a roasted pecan on top), Snickers, strawberry fields, death by chocolate, animal cracker and blue berry French toast. Cupcakes are tasty here. I got the banana pudding cupcake which was basically a cupcake filled with banana pudding and topped with a buttercream frosting and nilla cookie. The cake itself is great. It's moist without being overly dense. The frosting though is really buttery (think, if you were to put it in the fridge too long, it would harden like a stick of butter) -- so not always the most appealing. I'd love to try others flavor here. Finally, can I just say how ingenious the upside down plastic cup containers are? Okay, they don't hold cupcakes perfectly and you have to be careful the way you hold it since the bottom can drop out if you squeeze the cup--but it seems cost-effective and clever. Oooooo cupcakes? Yes, please! I was on my way running an errand when I saw this place, looked it up on Yelp, and it had good reviews so I had to stop and test my palate. I am a buttercream lover and self-proclaimed expert. When I stopped here today they had about 6 flavors of cupcakes. I'm plain with my cake, so I chose the "birthday cake" which was yellow cake with buttercream and sprinkles. I also got my husband a chocolate chip cookie and a "cookies and cream" cupcake. The shop is small and cute. The woman who helped me was really friendly, and I saw the blue truck pull away as I pulled up! There's benches outside if you'd like to enjoy your cupcake there. My birthday cake cupcake was moist and light, as was the frosting. I think everyone has their own "like" as far as dense vs light, and I prefer dense. Woo Hoo! I got to sample the cupcakes thanks to the hubs since I can't seem to catch up with Baby Blue. They were all eaten before photos were taken. The couple running the store were very kind and friendly. The cupcakes here are much more affordable than other specialty cupcake stores I've been too. Should you be lucky enough to find it, do yourself a favor and indulge in one of these little bits of deliciousness while supporting a local business. I have to agree with others that these petite treats are impressively moist. Even if the icing and fillings were gone, the cake alone is praiseworthy. But the frostings surely deserve mention as well. Butter cream that is light and airy, but packed with sweet flavor. The cream cheese frosting on the Red Velvet was perfect. And how about a cupcake just for Elvis- banana cake with a peanut butter frosting and just a bit of candied bacon on top. Wowzers in the creativity and uniqueness department! They have about 25 other unique flavors as well, offered on a rotating basis or by special order. While the cupcakes do seem a tad bit smaller than some other bakeries in town, it's probably a good thing in the long run, as you will definitely want to eat more than one. I do love the fact that the cupcakes come individually packaged in clear solo cups. They stay nicely positioned in the inverted top of the cup due to a little dab of oil on the bottom. Nice touch to keep those swirls of frosting perfectly positioned until the little guys meet their tasty end. Individual cupcakes are just a bit steep at $3.00, but a box of 4 comes in at $10.00. Hard call to make, even if they are delicious. Good news is they take a credit card without issue, so that helps a bit. I was driving by and happened to see a sign, so I made a U turn to check it out. I was hungry, and the fat boy in me figured that this would work for the moment. I'm glad I stopped by. It was near the end of the day, so the selection had dwindled down, but there was still enough to choose from. I picked up 4 cupcakes for $10 and added in a cookie. I handed out the cupcakes in the house, and they were a win. The flavors that were available may not have been my top choices, but they were still good. Together, we rated them about a 7, which is pretty good when you are not getting your ideal flavors. By the way..... the cookie I had (I think it was like lemon white chocolate flavor or something) was the start of the things I ate. Thats not to talk bad on the cupcake, that's just to speak high of the cookie. Keep in mind, they make everything on site...... including ice cream (I think). Stumbled across this truck at the Rural Hill Food Truck Rally and decided it was the place to grab some dessert for the next two nights. The cupcakes are all baked ahead of time and stored in plastic cup containers, so grabbing a sweet treat on the run is super fast. The owner was very nice and was patient with me as I tried to talk to him and the miss' over the phone, trying to decide between all the great-sounding cupcakes. In the end we chose the banana pudding and Vermont Jemima, and both proved to be great choices, at at $3 a pop it was definitely money well spent. The banana pudding cupcake was a banana cupcake with banana pudding filling, vanilla butter cream and a Nilla Wafer on top. The cupcake itself was perfect, with just the right banana flavor and was super moist, not dry. The butter cream was likewise perfect as it wasn't a choking sweet, but very light and mild. The banana pudding was delicious and super bananay. It was a simply yet awesome cupcake and definitely one of the best I've ever had. As much as I'm shocked to say this, I think I liked the Vermont Jemima even more. While I felt it was missing a filling, the cake was still moist and tasty. I really enjoyed the maple flavored butter cream, and like the vanilla one it wasn't too sweet. The top of it was garnished with two chunks of candied bacon, and this proved to be the best part. The bacon was crisp from being candied but it was still chewy, making it the best of both worlds. When tasting the cake, icing and bacon all in one bite I experienced cupcake nirvana, and I want to go back! Cupcake Delirium is the real deal. There are tons of "speciality" cupcake shops out there in this day and age, but many of them just don't deliver the full package. Cupcake Delirium's treats have a moist cake, an icing that isn't too sweet, innovative flavors and a great price. Velvet Bottom - Cheesecake in a cupcake, absolutely fabulous! My biggest complaint is that red velvet needs cream cheese icing. If there was with cream cheese icing on this one you couldn't tell as it is not strong. I'd rather go to Cheesecake Factory for their Red Velvet Cheesecake than get this again. 2. S'mores - Love this one, chocolatey with a nice light marshmellowy icing! 3. Snickers - Love this one as well, it was just so good with that snickers in the center! 4. Orange Dreamcicle - Not a fan, I like orange creamcicle items, but this one was almost too orange candy flavored for my liking. Just wanted to update that I had such a great experience working with Shannon on the order for our wedding. She even ordered a new pan special to be able to make a small centerpiece layer cake for us! Our custom flavor, pumpkin spice with cinnamon cream cheese, was super delicious - our guests all raved over how good it was, and many said they couldn't remember ever having wedding cake that tasty before :) I couldn't have been happier with the outstanding service and the high quality of product we received from Cupcake Delirium. This place has been on my bucket list since their feed starting showing up on Facebook. I consider myself a cake expert. I FRICKING LOVE CAKE! And I am happy to report these cupcakes did not disappoint. I've had some bad cupcakes. It's hard for some reason for bakeries to get the cake and frosting right. A local competitor has great icing, but the cake is not great. It's dry and the icing has to save it. NOT HERE! I bought 6 because I've already explained I have a cake problem. I went to the shop, not the food truck. The place is small, cute and clean. The staff was really nice. I bought strawberry, blueberry, maple bacon, chocolate, traditional, and peanut butter Oreo. Here are my thoughts on the first three I've taste tested so far. Strawberry Fields was my favorite. The cake was full of flavor and moist. The icing was the perfect compliment. The same goes for the Blueberry. The Maple Bacon was my least favorite. It has a chocolate cake and it was dry and dense. A common problem with cake when cocoa powder is involved.
