I ordered the hand battered chicken fried steak with cheesy grits and a salad. My wife had the smoked ribeye with roasted corn and a salad. Both were from the lunch menu so the portions were appropriate for the time of day. Our salads were nicely sized, fresh and a perfect companion to the main course. We were served rolls with the salads. By the way my wife cleaned them up I presume they were pretty good! The CFS was tender, well-seasoned and covered in a nicely flavored gravy. It included two slices of buttered white toast as well. Very Texas! The cheesy grits were a nice side as there was just the right amount of cheese to grits ratio. My wife's smoked ribeye looked good but she said it lacked a bit on flavor. She split the roasted corn with me and it was just about perfect. The service was attentive but not intrusive and overall I really liked the vibe. It was lively but not Texas Roadhouse lively. You could have a discussion without yelling. Music level was reasonable. Of course, it might be different packed with patrons on a Friday night. I give this place a strong 7 out of 10. I didn't catch her name because she didn't have a badge on. She was working the desk on Monday the 23rd of March at 4:00 in the afternoon.
