No smile, no warmth, and not even a simple confirmation that this was okay--it just felt unnecessarily dismissive with a snooty attitude. Is being unwelcoming a requirement when hiring hostesses, or is it a generational thing? I wonder when this will finally be addressed and improved. I may die of a heart attack if I ever actually see it happen! Thankfully, the food and table service were much better. The chicken-fried chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli was hot and delicious, and my server was very friendly.
