The new homes that have recently come in are modern and unique. The maintenance team do such an exceptional job of keeping the property manicured and clean. April 5, 2021 I…read morelived at Stone Canyon Apartments in Amarillo TX for 5 1/2 yrs. I recently moved out because the new manager Lindsey refuses to address noise complaints such as what sounds like a gym equipped with a treadmill, gymnastics class, a bowling ball being dropped and pipes banging at all hours of the day and night. I was told nothing could be done unfortunately she thought this to be 'normal apartment living'. This went on for months and continued until I finally moved. And yes that is the main reason I moved, along with the flat rudeness of Lindsey and the fact that sometimes it could take 6 months to complete a work order. When you turn in work orders Chris (maintenance) will act like he's going to fix the issue and will give you 110 excuses as to whats wrong and why he can't fix it and promises to return once he's caught up on everybody else's work orders. And you guessed it he never shows back up. Now with the new manager in the office he can't get anything done because him and her are to busy 'hangin out' alone in the office. Over the years he has made unsolicited derogatory sexual remarks to me. When he came to fix my heater in Feb during the big snowstorm he told me how I remind him of the lady next to me and we irritate him because in his opinion she nor myself can ever give him a straight answer. He verbally attacked my sister and I during my exit inspection while Lindsey sat there and allowed it to happen. I turned all of this over to corporate and they basically don't care. I have video and audio to back up all of my claims and not once has anybody reached out to me. They need to be reported (thats my next step) for disability discrimination for blocking and parking in handicap areas including my assigned handicap spot. I left the apt clean, def cleaner then I found it, I cleaned all appliance, vacuumed, mopped, cleaned bathroom and had I known she would hold 100 of my deposit for 'cleaning needed' as the only explanation I wouldn't have done all that cleaning. There is no explanation as to what cleaning was needed and I emailed Lindsey and of course she doesn't ever respond. She couldn't even respond when I lived there. She bold faced lied to me during the exit inspection as she assured me there would be no charges. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this hell hole. This place used to be amazing when Rachael (the prior manager) was there. It would be different if the corporate organization cared and one could have them as a recourse, but they could care less Jennifer Sherrod.

We moved into our new home last August 2024. Our AC unit has frozen up almost daily since we moved…read morein. Our unit is now set at 76 degrees, and it is still freezing up. We have called numerous times, and they are willing to come out and charge us 250.00(of course it could cost more depending on what they find and how long it takes) to clean it out. They come into the house, then make two or three trips outside collecting supplies. You are paying for the time they drove up and all the trips in and out of the house. They are also willing to sell us another part that should be working just fine for 100.00. Why would we need a spare part that should be working when it is a brand new unit. I am guessing this spare part is the top of the unit that keeps freezing up. They are also willing to sell us these fine metal mesh filters that fall apart the minute you take them out to clean them. I would definitely not recommend these people for you AC needs.

Absolutely the best AC service we have ever had or even dreamed of having…read more We were quoted by another local company that we needed to replace the whole system, after they spent five minutes looking at the system. That same company also said it would take them another two months to get to us (due to the heat of summer). Then we were recommended to try JC Heating & Cooling, from a friend from work. They literally spent an hour diagnosing the problem. They were back that week, it took them 15 minutes to fix the actual problem, and it cost us not even a tenth of what the other company quoted. The system didn't need to be replaced, it had insulation blocking the air flow (from the installation years ago, way before we owned the house). Truly great guys that were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. First time we've used this business and they have gained life long customers.

The Park at 54th is the worst possible place to live in Amarillo, Tx. If you read nothing else,…read moreread this: Rent somewhere else. While I lived there, the apartment flooded twice and it took them SIX MONTHS to repair the water damage. Worse still, the apartments are unbearably hot year round (even if you leave the air conditioning unit running non-stop). On several occasions the entire complex went without consistent hot water for weeks on end while the apartment complex denied there was any problem. Who can live like this? At one point, we literally had to contact the city in order to force the management to install smoke detectors in every room as required by city code. But do you know what the icing on the cake was? The horrible, unprofessional, and spiteful staff. When we finally ended our lease (we're slow learners), they charged us for a window that had been cracked from the OUTSIDE of our apartment by the grounds keepers. Nothing, and I mean nothing, could ever compare to the horrible renting experience we endured at the Park at 54th Apartments before we closed on our new home. No apartment complex is perfect, but this place is the scum at the bottom of the cesspool. When shopping around for a bargain-priced apartment, skip this place. You'll be glad you did.
