It's a difficult review because I really enjoy the ride! There are some beautiful spots during the trail as the Natural Area where is just 1 yes, ONE parking spot and it is almost unnoticeable! And I'm still not very sure it is but I just wanted to investigate that part ;) There is another parking lot where the pond is. I read some reviews about mugglers but took the risk and it was beautiful! No salmon there and freezing water but my dog was very excited still! I was very conscious about her not swimming because of the season ;) Then we went to the parking lot below the bridge. This one is the best. More people and more salmon so you can watch from the top of the bridges during your hike. It is paved and lit of people around. You can walk all the way from the Research Area to the I90 where it gets super noisy :( but still lovely to see salmon and the park. You can also enjoy the big dog park. It is great because there are always dog friends, water, and balls!

Iconic cedar river, where the salmon roam.

This fairly flat, popular, paved pathway is typical of area trails. It can get quite busy, especially in warmer weather because of the shade and river breeze that kisses you softly. The trailhead in Renton is pretty busy, so if you're not privileged enough to not drive here, you'll get to laugh at people looking for a parking spot. The nearby dog park adds to people going here but also keeps them rotating. Most of the trail follows fairly closely but there is no risk of flooding unlike further down stream. There is a small risk of rocks falling from above, but I've yet to witness anything like that. If you're looking for a spot to traverse Renton without needing to compete with vehicle traffic, this is your route. It will break off to take you north or south so you can get to your final destination, but I expect you will be considering whether or not going back to civilization is the right choice. I wish I was back on the trail again.

The Cedar River Trail along Maple Valley Highway, Renton

The Cedar River Trail is a rails-to-trails redevelopment of an old railroad bed that runs from Lake Washington in Renton, Washington (near the mouth of the Cedar River) to Maple Valley, where the trail becomes unpaved and turns into the Snoqualmie Valley Trail which goes on for miles. The CRT is paved and runs along the river for most of its length. Some of it is quite urban and you can walk right past coffee kiosks and underneath freeways. It's a great skate and bike path as well as of course walking path. There are many convenient spots to park your car along Maple Valley Highway (SR 169) so it's easy to plan a short walk or a long hike.

    Come walk a while!

Nice trail, quiet and peaceful. The runners and bikers on the trail are usually respectful.

As I shared the serial number over the phone, the staff person was not able to locate it in the computer. The rationale was that if the bike fell between a timeframe of specific years there was no record. The associate appeared helpful and listed the colors of the bikes by year and suggested I go on eBay or another site I don't recall to look up the bike. Now, there's nothing wrong with the over the phone service and the staff seemed like they did their job. Having worked in customer service and sales, I've had associates take down my name and number, do some research, and locate the a skew and model. I've also had associates ask me if there was anything they could do to help further make the customer experience stand out? This could be, come in the shop. I can talk to you about the warranty to see if anything is covered, or feel free and send me pics via email to send to corporate. The funny thing is, recycled cycles pulled up the picture of the bike, eyeballed the year and gave me price of the worth in 5 minutes. Even though they didn't work for Trek they knew their bikes. As a potential Trek customer, I hope that staff are trained to know about the history of the products they are selling and not just the latest models. I hope this can be a learning opportunity at Trek to please try a little harder as this experience needs a tune up.

Her bike arrived unassembled and I needed to try to get this Put together as quickly as possible. She was very accommodating and told me to bring the bike in and they would get it taken care of for me. Drove in on my lunch hour and Kim got me in right away. She went to work on the bike herself and was able to get everything taken care of in under an hour. Outstanding and amazing service and very friendly and easy to deal with. I can't stress how professional they are, and they cater to the cycling crowd. They don't just fix bikes. They compete as well. Thank you very much for everything!

I told him to not buy me a new bike, I just wanted My Bike tuned up. He went to Cycle Therapy. They sold him a new bike. (It was going to be about the same amount of money to buy a new bike as it would be to overhaul my old bike). Upon seeing my "new" bike I called the store and ended up talking to the owner Ric. I explained that I wanted my old bike back and tuned up. They still had it and Ric offered to allow me to return the new bike and that they would go ahead and overhaul my old bike for me. Chris and Chad did a GREAT job. I am so happy. But here is the best part... the customer service. All of the team members at Cycle Therapy were totally about making us happy. Honestly, I think they were trying to save my hubby money by selling him a new bike (did I say my Trex was old...it's super old). In the end, they overhauled My Bike for the same price as we had paid for the new bike (that might sound like a lot to pay for a tune up - it would be, but this was an Overhaul...as in darn near built me a new bike on my old frame....). All the while, the Team was sooooo accommodating, pleasant, (they could have turned their noses up at My Bike, but they just seemed to understand that I like my old bike) and they wanted to make it right for me in any way possible. I am in a front-facing customer service job myself and when I experience EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, which is rare these days, I want to let the world know - so here it is! Support this shop and this team, you will enjoy the experience and the end product.
