This garden is 2.7miles from the SeaTac airport. A wonderful stop to make prior to your flight, upon arrival or when in the area. Pets are welcome. Free admission. You will be able to see the signage which reflects what's available: -Elda's paradise garden -Seiki Japanese garden -Rose garden -Daylily garden -Fuchia garden -Iris garden -Community garden The Japanese garden is magical. It is clean and very well maintained. There are some benches available to sit, relax and enjoy. There's a mini library next to one of the benches where you can sit within nature to read by yourself or read to your kids. It's beautiful all around. Check it out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! =)

Fairly large wooded area with a few little trails. This park is not that great and you shouldn't take the time to travel here, but it's a-okay if you're already in the area. There have been a few times I've felt unsafe in the wooded areas, so definitely pay attention to your surroundings! This park also has tennis courts and a basketball court which are fairly well maintained and there are bathrooms available for use (during the warmer months).

I will say that the parking lot is rather small and it can be very challenging to find any parking during the summer. When I arrived on this particular day, there was literally a line out to the road with vehicles trying to find parking. It can get pretty cut throat, too. The park itself is generously sized, in the splash pad has a lot of unique features that my kids really enjoyed. My favorite part is that they had features for small children as well as larger children. Usually when I go to other splash pads it smells funky or like chlorine. But this location smelled fresh and seemed to have been upkept recently. Western Washington is a notorious area for high amounts of trafficking, so I always have to keep an eye out wherever we go. But thankfully, this area seemed pretty safe so we will definitely be back next summer for more playtime.

At dusk and dawn you can find a TON of bunnies and perhaps even a coyote. Most areas have good lighting, but I wouldn't recommend using this trail as it gets dark.

The second time my kid wanted to come so we purposely drove out to it. This time we left early because it didn't feel safe. We went to the bathroom and there was a homeless person in there occupying the handicap restroom, most likely doing something illegal. Her arm was sticking out under the stall and it felt kind of scary. I had to usher my kids out as quickly as possible. When we got back to the playground, tons of trash. A toddler pulled down her pants to pee on the ground. A bunch of teenagers were at the toddler playground without shoes on, occupying the "inside" of the playground. Worried my kids had to go to the bathroom again, we left early. It didn't seem sanitary nor safe anymore. We will not be back.

I recently spent a mid-day hour and a half in this struggling city park. Its troubles persist, as…read moredoes its potential. The city prepared a master plan for the park in 2021-2022, a plan expected to take 30 years to fully implement. Motivation and budgets being what they are, it's fair to anticipate slow going. On my visit, trash, graffiti, and shady characters were evident but not overwhelming. Several locals walked the west edge, either passing through or taking a brief respite from the shopping district. Birds and butterflies lighten the space. The plantings are well established, but few flowers were blooming in late August. The pond, best viewed from the damaged overlook, was neither pretty nor putrid (the odds are against it with such impervious surroundings). A place like this needs community participation for ground-up improvement. The city's plan accounts for this but it was unclear from a single visit whether it's happening. Adjacent businesses encouraging employee volunteerism could make a huge difference.
