We came here last summer during the heatwave. We heard there was a splash pad and a swimmable lake. The location is convenient as well because it's close to my home. I will say that the parking lot is rather small and it can be very challenging to find any parking during the summer. When I arrived on this particular day, there was literally a line out to the road with vehicles trying to find parking. It can get pretty cut throat, too. The park itself is generously sized, in the splash pad has a lot of unique features that my kids really enjoyed. My favorite part is that they had features for small children as well as larger children. Usually when I go to other splash pads it smells funky or like chlorine. But this location smelled fresh and seemed to have been upkept recently. Western Washington is a notorious area for high amounts of trafficking, so I always have to keep an eye out wherever we go. But thankfully, this area seemed pretty safe so we will definitely be back next summer for more playtime. read more

Angle lake park is just outside of SeaTac (traffic light from pac hwy into the parking lot). When you arrive you're greeted by a view of the lake, with some amenities and play areas off to the side. Brought a toddler and had some fun on the play area (it's small/medium and has wood chips) and the lake area (she liked the geese and sand). Didn't stop into the splash pad (that looked more impressive than the playground equipment) because of time constraints. There were at least 3 covered picnic areas. Park is generally clean ish, with workers hosing it down and cleaning on Monday morning. Would still recommend a close watch of littles to make sure they don't get into anything (garbage, cans, goose droppings)! Parking was easy on an overcast weekday, but I could see how it would be a busy place on a hot day. Loud planes taking off nearby but the little one loved it. read more

Angle Lake Park is an absolutely lovely green space super close to the airport. There are plenty of places to walk, but I wouldn't say that's the focus of this space. Lots of places to play around, eat/party at the shelters, or even go for a swim. There's also a splash park that's more geared towards littles, which is great with Summer slowly coming up! Parking can get difficult, especially when the weather is nice, so you'll want to get there early. read more

What an awesome park! But alas, summer is over and we are moving, so we won't be very frequent visitors. We came here on a pretty warm day so that our son could play in the splash park. Their splash park is AMAZING. There are so many different features and toys. Another added bonus is that the water is constantly flowing - I'm sure there's something to be said about how much is being wasted, but the park we visited previous to this one only had one water feature going at one time. Not ideal for a bunch of kids to crowd around one splash toy. Splash park aside, there's tons of space here to walk and there's also a beach park here for swimming. They've also got pretty clean bathrooms. Huge parking lot as well. All in all, it's a great place to come on a nice day. Maybe next summer we'll be back! read more

This lake is super chill! It's pretty shallow but I like that so I can walk in the lake all I want! It's very family friendly and can get busy. But definitely smaller area since it's residential and most people around you own a house on the lake. So just remember to be respectful and keep Washington clean :) read more

The park was packed when I came! I didn't go for the swimming, but a lot of kids were swimming there. A great place for kids to swim, but not the best for fishing which I went there for. Because of the countless children swimming, it makes it hard to swim. There is a dock and a floating docks, sometimes, and everyone are usually cramped on those docks which makes it had to have some space, and I fear tangling with other lines. I didn't see any illegal activities that other have noted in other reviews, but I definitely smelled it. Regardless though, if you're there in the afternoon and there are a lot of families and children, you're safe. read more

We arrived around 12:30 p.m. and the place was still fairly crowded. The weather was nice, so perhaps that bought out the crowds. The park also has a number of grill/picnic pavilions, a loop trail around most of the perimeter, playground for kiddies, a splash/fountain area for younger kids to play in. Lots of open green space, people out on the lake, and families BBQing. If you have some time to kill near Seatac, this seemed like a great local spot with lots of people enjoying the weather. Angle Lake Park, a 10 acre lake-front park, is the perfect place to cool off in the summer. Nice retreat from the city life. I would recommend this place to anyone that wanted to come here with their families. This was a nice surprise as we were just looking for a random park to waste a half hour. We were there on an 80 degree day and there were people swimming in the lake off the sandy beach. They also have a water play area that hadn't opened yet for the season as well as a nature walk, restrooms and picnic shelters. The location is close to the airport so you could hang out there if you get to the area early for a flight or if you're waiting to pick someone up. read more

After taking a wrong turn while heading towards the airport, my family and I ended up at Angle Lake Park. Since we had a few hours to kill, we decided to just hang around the lake and take some photos. We were here the day before Thanksgiving so there was only one other person there. We had quite a peaceful and beautiful morning. The lake is gorgeous. We were able to take lots of pictures that came out amazing since we had a great, nature background. The way the trees and the lights reflect of the water is so magical. I'm not from around this place but I can imagine how nice it would be to take your dog for a walk here of your kids for a mini park play date. read more

A small lake in the middle of a dense suburban population, near SeaTack Airport. Surrounded by private residences. The park is a good place to go swimming with the family, but you have to be your family's lifeguard, there is no government support for professional lifeguards in our lake parks system. The beach is small but very well maintained. The shady playground is a mite garish but kids like garish; the "splash park" area will draw more kids. The parking lot is small and that's a problem in such a populace area. In good weather it stays crowded until dark. Good picnic area, cooking allowed (bring your own charcoal for the grill). Families should stake out their picnic table early or expect to use a blanket on the ground. In colder weather it's never crowded, so dress warm and take advantage. Lots of events are arranged during the summer and are not well promoted so there'll be big crowds but not uncomfortably dense crowds. A July 4th fireworks display does get too crowded, and it helps to know someone who lives on the lake to have a great viewing from some private dock. Fishing is allowed but don't expect to catch anything. There's a boat launch. No camping. As a footnote, there used to be another lake right near this one, across the street from SeaTac. It was called Bow Lake. Up to the 1950s/60s you could take a boat on it and go fishing. Then in the 60s/70s it became heavily used by illegal dumping including of toxic material. The lake actually gave off visible vapors of steam-like toxins. The fish that survived had huge tumors. The western toads were often deformed. Locals didn't want their kids near it. It was in time drained and filled in, but still so marshy some of the big buildings that soon appeared were actually sinking into the ground! Locals took to calling the area Bow Bog. All that remains of Bow Lake today is a swampy bit around which the DoubleTree (formerly Red Lion) hotel was built, and they landscape it a bit so it's not a mudhole. And there's still a business or two named for Bow Lake, and Bow Lake Drive, an elementary school, and the Bow Lake Park retirement community, despite only a few swampy areas left of the lake and not many of those. Angle Lake didn't suffer the same fate because some rich people had homes on it. Bow Lake was an area of poverty housing and trailer homes immediately under noisy landing planes, so those po' folk had no political power to protect their lake. The illegal toxic dumping, sometimes scant feet from family homes, was done in plain sight of busy 99 highway and the airport, yet no one was ever arrested for made to pay for the crime. Someone got paid off, you can bet. The fate of Star Lake public park elsewhere in the county is another example things that can happen to lakes. A well-used and popular park in the 1960s/70s, the wealthy people who lived around that small lake didn't like the incursions of plebs and their brats. They fought to get rid of the park, and today there's room instead for a few more rich peoples' waterfront homes. Very cool we went on a Sunday mid July. - All picnic tables/BBQs are occupied by 11am. Not doggy friendly - leash, no dogs on the beach Love the beach access, steps descend into the water Love the mini water park play area. Kiddos had a blast. + playground on site. No parking. But there is an additional parking a block off site. Tons of place but it's just a field. So car will get dusty. Didn't see a lifeguard on duty. Not too sure tho. All in all it was a good time. It was super crowded tho, beach water play area were just jammed with kids. We had our own table so part was fine. & even with the traffic it was a clean park. read more

The main reason we ventured into this park was Pokemon Go, per my daughter's request. We arrived around 7:30 p.m. and the place was still fairly crowded. The weather was nice, so perhaps that brought out the crowds. The park is on International Blvd. in between some office buildings. It extends down to Angle Lake and has a beach with a dock for diving/swimming. The rest of the lake appears to be bordered by private homes. The park also has a number of grill/picnic pavilions, a loop trail around most of the perimeter, and a splash/fountain area for younger kids to play in. There seemed to be a lot of locals hanging out here, but it could also be a nice place for a short break from your hotel room. read more

This park put on an incredible program for the 4th of July! What a hidden gem! From the street you only see a small lawn and splash pad, but once you get inside, you realize the vastness of the park: a private sandy beach plus a dock, large private parking lot, multiple covered areas with charcoal grills and picnic tables, a 3-tiered playground, large restrooms, and acres of bright green grass. On the 4th, people brought their own propane grills and set up BBQs on the grass. I must of have seen over a hundred grills! Kids were running around the splash pad, adults were enjoying live bands, teenagers were throwing footballs and taking selfies (lol), and everyone was enjoying and celebrating America! The beach was closed on the 4th because the dock was prepped for the firework show. Even so, we didn't feel like we missed out on anything. With the proximity to me, and the wonderful amenities, I will be sure to stop by this park more often! The water will feel great once the weathers heats up a bit more! read more

The park aspect of angle lake park isn't the selling point, in my opinion, the lake itself is what makes this trip worth it. The lake is a decent size, something I don't see too much of in Washington. (I come from the land of 10,000 lakes.) This lake has a breathtaking view of mount Rainier on a clear day. There are usually cute ducks that flock to the shore, not the typical mallards. I have swam in it and it was smilingly clean. I didn't use the public beach though, I had private local access due to relatives that lived in the neighborhood. I don't love that this park is in the midst of a highway, casinos, and just urban blah. No walking, either. I can see if your living in the area and just want a relaxing place with a little nature, but this is no park to come out of your way for. read more

My son loves the playground at this park. It has a fun theme to it and lots of climbing structures, and the super tall slide are all big draws for him! Angle Lake is a beautifully manicured park in the heart of SeaTac. One of its most appealing features is the total diversity of the area. You are likely to experience kids from literally all over the world swimming, playing, and laughing together at this park. The park features large flat grass areas perfect for picnics and group games, several clumps of picnic benches, a boat launch, fishing pier, a really cool big toy, a stage, picnic shelter with a BBQ, decently clean restrooms, and swimming area (staffed with lifegaurds in the summer). SeaTac can be a little bit sketchy so the City has special park police who are on special assignment during the summer. The park is always clean which is a big plus in my book. This place is beautiful and hard to believe it's smack in the middle of town, with offices sandwiched on either side. There's lots of space and grass to spread out and picnic on, places to fish and get into the water and a beach of sorts directly on the lake. I can't wait to come back on a day it's a bit warmer and go for a swim! My only complaint is I wish there was more access to the water or a trail to walk around it more, instead of most of it being closed off due to private homes. This is a nice little getaway just minutes from the airport. Even though it''s just off of pacific ave, it's a pretty quiet location. There's a small play area for the kids, picnic area, swimming area, and a fishing dock and boat launch. Some days are busier than other, but the weekend and evening, this park is pack. On the weekend, the fisherman comes out with their boat, and take up many of the limited parking stall that this park has to offer. They have public bathroom at this park. For the fisherman, this lake is one of the first to be stock with rainbow trout every spring. Normally the first or second week of march. But they also have kokanee, rock bass, perch, largemough bass. The fishing is limited to the fishing dock if you don't have a boat and there is only so much room on the dock. it's open to fishing year round. read more

The thing is, I am a little lazy. I wish I was a super Mom but alas, I am not. The design of the water park here is small, circular and laid out to where I can watch my little monsters run a muck without having to get too crazy about losing them (visually), in the chaos when it gets super busy. I literally am like a stalking Momma panther, walking around in full circles as they do their thing inside said circle. Awesome sauce. Below, the park rolls down with grassy hillside until you get to the sand, where the lake is. Throughout the grass areas, there is a winding path perfect for strollers. There are also several BBQ areas with pic nic tables and gazebos too. Angle lake is clear and seems mostly clean. There is a colony of ducks that are far from shy and a constant stream of kids swimming and playing in the sand. The parking lot at the top does get full but there is another parking lot about a block up from the park, with a simple walk down to the main entrance. It is a melting pot of people here with lots to do. It even boasts a simple playground on the far side, in the shade for most of the day. Good thinking park planners! Well "played"! read more

The cutest little park! It has "lake" in the name for a reason.......because it's by a lake. This park is for all walks of life, from people who want to barbecue, to kids who want to play on the jungle gym and water park, to people who want to jump right off the pier into the lake, to people who want to just sit on the edge and dip their feet in the water, and to people who just want to sit and enjoy the wonders of Mother Nature and this scenic park. It is definitely a place to take pictures, everywhere you look there is a view to take a snapshot of. Big tall pine trees make it feel cozy, and on a clear sky day, which is rare, you can catch a glimpse of the ever so beautiful Mt. Rainer! The park is packed like sardines during the summer as one can imagine, but during this time of year (winter) you might find yourself being the only person in the park (which I love). I've only had my fair share of park visits, but this one by far is the nicest, most scenic park there! read more

My year and a half old son and 3 year old god-daughter had so much fun at both the spray park and playground! My best friend and I decided to come here with our kids and have a picnic. To our surprise, it was not as packed as we thought it would be on a nice summer day. Not a lot of people there allowed us to keep a better eye on our kids and have a good shaded spot to put a blanket down. There was also some staff that came and offered free snacks for children (not sure of the company/organization name) which was nice! A nice park if you are in the area. Best feature is the Splash Pad and the playground is good too! Some things that give this only three stars is that the sand/dirt area around the lake and the lake itself can be quite dirty. Dog feces in the sand, and people throwing their trash into the lake. Come on people! I've had to talk to some kids to pick up their trash and talked to the parents because the parents themselves didn't care. :( There's a lot of picnic areas and grassy areas which make for great bbqs and get-togethers. It really is a beautiful lake. I hope people take responsibility and keep it clean and maintained. read more

A very beautiful, picturesque lake park paradise in the city. Too bad there was a shooting there the same day yesterday. Luckily we had already been long gone before it happened. Couldn't even this place be safe and sacred? You have families playing in the grass and playground, dog walkers, business people relaxing for lunch, boaters, fishermen on the 2 docks, and eventually swimmers and sunbathers. It's got three gazebos, a covered middle area viewpoint to relax and take in the view, steps leading to the lower section towards the promenade beach area. I like how the trail and restroom area is paved. It is very handicapped accessible for me n my dog. It's nice and warm here with a breeze. It is kept clean and the parking gates open at 8 am. Wow, hadn't been to this park in years and was pleasantly surprised at all the changes. They have added a new splash park which is terrific! with appeal to a wide variety of ages. Older kids will love the spraying wands and the big pail of water that fills up enough every 5 minutes to tip over and delight the older kids who get very creative in finding ways to get wet from the spilling water. Toddlers are treated to several small stream sprays of water and the splash park is lined with a cement wall which can serve as a seat for adults to supervise. The entire park is undergoing a nice remodel with several gazebos where families can set up for birthday parties, picnics, etc. They even have a receptacle to dump your hot coals. Plus, there are play toys with two separate styles, again accommodating older and younger kids. The beach looks fantastic and while we didn't swim there today, it is definitely on our "must do list"! Nice sand, clean water, two lifeguard stations were manned and I saw two other lifeguards watching out from the guard shack nearby. Plus, the swimming area is separated with a baby area, small kid swimming and deep water for the more experienced swimmers. Lots of trees in the park which is a bonus for shade that i haven't seen in other parks. Plus, the grass leading down to the beach was like stepping on carpet, lush and green! What's not to like??
