Perfect place to soak in a Sunset with the Seattle Skyline across the water. Plenty of parking and a public bathroom in the end of a restaurant near outdoor shower. You get not grass and sandy beach areas, a boat launch and more. Many others walking dogs on leash, friendly atmosphere. Be aware there is a small strip just before the parking area on the street, pictured, marked NO PARKING. We did not realize and got a $47.00 parking ticket. Honestly, don't mind too much as we have been there so many times enjoying the area for free. The money helps pay for things we take for granted. read more

Seacrest Park is a fine park I suppose, but I'm going to be honest I was astounded by the amount of litter found in the water. I hold Seattle to this unrealistic standard of environmental friendliness so I was shocked when I put my underwater ROV off the dock and found discarded bottles, energy drink cans, and other litter as far as the mini-sub could go (about 120 ft deep and 300 ft out). Had to pull the sub up twice because there was so much discarded fishing twine in the water that it entangled the motors to the point they couldn't function. For those who may say all water around Seattle is like this I'd beg to differ as I have never seen it like this anywhere else. Even when taking the mini-sub to Pier 69 I didn't see the amount of trash carpeting the seabed floor right by the pier. My friend wondered how many knew of this rug of glass, wire, mesh, and debris that was only feet away from them as they walked along the dock. It isn't in an area where divers go as they were off to one side and one fisherman had even recommended it tho I doubt divers would be keen to share space with a mini sub. And as I looked around this is still the only place I saw largely devoid of life except for sea anemones. No crabs, fish, or sea cucumbers were seen; typical residents of Puget Sound waters. But I saw how most people weren't aware - napkins would flutter away in the wind, another fishing line cut to add to the monofilament buried below, and much more just more trash all below the water's surface. It left me feeling very discouraged as I left. I tried reaching out to various orgs to discuss this, but have heard nothing. read more

Wow did not know this park existed before! Pretty amazing view of downtown Seattle. Parking is hard to find here. There have a couple of spots for 15 minute parking. All the other parking lots are 2-hour parking, I think. They have the marination restaurant right here. I may visit on my next visit here! read more

Sometimes you have to leave a city to appreciate it. Seacrest Park is not outside the city of Seattle, but it is across the Puget Sound allowing you to view the downtown skyline. It is accessible by car and ferry with limited parking along the road. There are limited facilities in the park, but you do not even notice. The view of downtown Seattle along the narrow green belt along the water is enough. There is a fishing pier next to the ferry launch, and a restaurant is nearby. Most people were running or playing with the family along the shore enjoying a sunny day and a five star view of the city. Seacrest is a short drive from downtown and a great photo opportunity for locals and visitors alike. read more

My sister was right! Seacrest Park has a better view of Seattle Downtown! It's not big! But, you can walk towards to the water a little bit. I wish it was bright enough when I was there last night. Therefore, I could have captured a better picture on my phone. I'd definitely mark here as a MUST-VISIT spot for my friends and family and a romantic spot for dates! read more

Some days, I end up wandering around aimlessly. On one such day, I just got done eating at Marination Ma Kai. My family had abandoned me in favor of geocaching (I guess there was something hidden nearby). I spent the time walking on the dock, which was scattered with people fishing and grabbing shots of the Seattle skyline. The King County Water Taxi drops off on the dock. That keeps a steady flow of people coming by. There is a parking lot but good luck finding a spot. People are often parked in the KC Water Taxi spot. Luckily, there is street parking but during peak periods you may be walking awhile to get here. A few picnic tables are available and I notice that people tend to claim them for long periods of time. A few coves are available where people enter with paddle boards and a variety of other water toys. My gut was to give this park 3 stars because of the size, parking, and lack of typical amenities in other parks. That being said, it's hard to deny the power of such a beautiful view so 4 stars it is! read more

One of my favorite parks in Seattle, if you're into SCUBA this is the place to be! There are 3 "coves" in this park, cove 2 (the main beach closest to the parking lot) is the most interesting with remnants of an old marina, remains of an old sailboat, and if you head out a little deeper you can find the "I-Beams". In the summer months they even have an out-door shower for washing your gear after the dive. If you want to keep it "above water" there is a great little cafe right on the peer, crab some fish and chips and take in the sights! read more

The dock for the Water Taxi to downtown is here. This place has bathrooms, a great little cafe, bait shop, parking if your there early, and off street parking, a plenty. There is bike rentals and kayak as well. This is probably the best view of Seattle you will ever see on the ground. read more

Amazing unobstructed view of the Seattle skyline! Parking lot was spacious (at least when I went at 8pm on Saturday in May). It was a bit breezy and cold but I was able to park the car in a spot that directly faced the skyline and enjoyed waiting for the sunset :) The park isn't big but does have a decent grassy area and a cute 'couples' tree (two isolated trees growing next to each other). There is also a dock for launching boat so that was cool to watch. Overall, this is definitely a spot worth checking out if you don't mind driving out to west Seattle :) read more

A can't miss spot by Alki, but they just put up some no parking signs (enforced?) that designate most spot for boats/trailers. Not sure about the thinking about doing so--I would much prefer first-come, first served--and we'll have to see how this plays out this summer when the crowds come. Right on the dock where the Fauntleroy Foot Ferry lands, easily identifiable by the hordes of scuba divers there, this can be a litlte easy to miss, but it is THE best view of Seattle in the whole city, in my humble but accurate opinion. I love the rustic look of the dock (great for photos!) and there is a lovely little running path that goes along the stretch of Alki. Its away from the bustle of the beach area, but there are a couple of little beach coves you can go walk around on. There are (not great) public rest rooms available, but bring hand sanitizer! I love this spot and go here often, and will continue to, its perfect. read more
