    Cruisers tuners at the park.
    Anthony S.

This spot has turned into a cruise-in for the local Fast & Furious tuner crowd. On warmish dry evenings, expect lots of slammed, decaled and sewer-piped Hondas, Acuras and maybe a Celica and Subaru too. The crowd is the cool kids from the nearby Junior College, mostly dudes, but a Betty or two as well. Depending on the way the wind is blowing, you will be hit with the intense skunky smell of modern pot. Cops seem to leave them alone, despite the locals walking by giving them dirty looks and likely complaining about it on the West SEA Blog. I'm sure the neighbors of the park in the ~$800K single family homes are not digging it, but when you live nearly on top of a major sewage treatment plant, you need to be accepting of your environs. Its very nice to see cruising on Alki (not that kind of cruising). Kids will be kids. Grownups will be annoyed. Cops will get called. People will disperse. Kids grow up and lose touch with their past. Check the windshield of one car I saw at the cruise recently. Oh yeah, great little beach at this park for skipping rocks into the sound.

A nice alternative beach/viewpoint for Alki beach. If you have a hard time finding a parking spot at Alki, you might want to try your luck here. Direction is easy. Just kept on driving and you will see the street parking after you pass the light house. Usually it's much less crowded here. It does not have sandy beach, fancy stores and downtown Seattle view. But the Puget Sound view is just as good as Alki, and its beach provides lots of opportunities to explore shells and little crabs. At less crowd days, there are lots of birds flying around or walking by the water seeking food, providing good opportunities for bird watchers or photography enthusiasms. I myself took quite a few nice bird taking off pictures here at my first trip. My kid also found some nice shells, as well as observing some tiny crabs walking under the rock. Quite a fun experience for the family. By the water there is an apartment building standing on top of the water, which is quite unique and colorful as well.

There's no parking! There's no place to sit! All you have is an ugly view! There's nothing to do. It's a bad, bad park please don't go! OK everything I just said is a lie because I don't want anyone to know my favorite spot on Alki. This little park runs parallel to Beach Dr and when the tide is out you can walk from beach drive all the way around Alki Point to Alki Beach Park. And while you're walking you can check out the tide pools and see all the cool creatures that live in our waters. If you don't feel like walking off the beaten path you can walk on the sidewalk and check out the metal constellation maps that are inlaid into the sidewalk. At the corner of 63rd and Beach Drive there's a cool tide pool sculpture that features starfish, clams and an octopus for those who are too afraid to brave the rocks and check out the real tide pools themselves. Fortunately for me I have the pleasure of seeing this park daily it's on my way to and from my apartment, the view is amazing and if you catch it at sunset you can be memorized for hours, ok minutes it doesn't take hours for the sun to set I know. If you go bring a camera because there's always something to take a picture of. I love it down there when it's storming and the waves are crashing over the sidewalk and on to the street, the salt water is horrible for the paint on my cherry but it's awesome to have the waves spray your car as you drive by.

I love this park. The water, cute little sandpipers, a semi-natural beach, long walkway, benches, star charts on the sidewalk, pleasant neighborhood, etc. Just around the corner, Alki is teaming with people, yet no one goes here. I wonder why?

Lovely place to relax, go for a walk, and enjoy the gorgeous views. The views are literally different every single day! Its Breathtaking! Specially when it's raining, sun breaks through the clouds, rainbows and lots of bird sounds. A must to check out! P.S just don't be one of those idiots driving their race cars through the street, bumping inappropriate music insulting the families that live in the neighborhood! And please PLEASE TURN YOUR ENGINES OFF if you decide to park!

Another one of Seattle's finest parks...certainly not the most populated which is just fine. Please enjoy the views, smells, sounds and recreational activities.

A couple things to consider as you are planning your trip to Kerry Park: 1) the park is located on a extremely steep hill (you can definitely walk to it, but you'll likely be exhausted walking all the way up to the top from lower Queen Anne), 2) if you are driving it may take some time to find parking as the park is tucked away in a neighborhood, and 3) Mount rainier is viewable from the park on a clear day, you'll want to stop by on a sunny and clear day if possible (the view is still beautiful if the weather is overcast, but it's even better if it's sunny and clear). When you arrive to Kerry Park you'll be greeted with a postcard perfect view of Seattle/the puget sound, and a relaxing atmosphere. It can get busy but spots will naturally open up where you can take photos. I'd recommend going close to sunset if you can time it. Btw, if you are a Grey's anatomy fan some of the house filmed at are tucked away in the Queen Anne neighborhood.

Even though it was a cloudier day, we still have a beautiful view of the city skyline. We found street parking nearby. It's located in a gorgeous neighborhood.
