Absolute worst experience I've ever had in a clinic. Terrible customer/patient service and non-existent medical care. I arrived with my 5 year old daughter at about 7:45pm on a school night. She'd been having an issue with her eye on & off throughout the school day and by the time I picked her up after work, it was swollen and painful and she was in tears. I called a pediatrician friend who lives out of town and she said it was likely an allergic reaction but she was concerned that some of the symptoms were similar to periorbital cellulitis - which is an emergency - and recommended that I take her into urgent care just to be sure. When I arrived, the receptionist with pink hair collected my daughter's and my information to get us checked in and then told me I would receive a text with more check-in paperwork. I waited there for a few minutes for the text to come through and it never did. I asked her to double check my phone number. She'd entered it in wrong. No big deal, I gave her my number again and she sent the check in forms. Then we were asked to wait in our car (COVID precautions) and I asked her about how long we could expect to wait, knowing that it wouldn't be an exact wait time. She told me 30-45 minutes and she'd text me when it was time to come in. We went back out to our car which was parked directly in front of the building (the receptionist could see me sitting there while she was at her desk) and waited. And waited. After crying on and off about her eye pain my daughter fell asleep in my lap at about 8:30 (we'd been waiting 45 minutes at this point). When I saw another family arrive & then be seen before us I wondered what was up and called the receptionist to check on wait time (at this point it was 8:55 - they close at 9) and she told me "Oh, I already called & texted you and you didn't answer so I cancelled your appointment." She had definitely NOT called or texted me, and I told her that. Her response was "Well, I've already cancelled your appointment because I couldn't reach you. I guess I can work you in if you still want to be seen?". At this point, I had been waiting over an hour with a child in pain - OF COURSE I wanted to be seen or we wouldn't have been there! I reminded her that she'd entered my number incorrectly the first time and asked her to confirm which number she called. She said "Oh I'm not sure. Well, I can't check because I've already closed out your appointment." I just told her to forget it and we were coming in. When I carried my daughter into the clinic she immediately put us in a room and asked for payment - $220. I asked her to confirm which number she had on file for me so that if we needed any follow up our record was accurate and the staff could reach me. She refused to tell me which number she'd called earlier and just repeated "I have the right one now." She never apologized for keeping us waiting and canceling our appointment and she never confirmed which number she had for us. Absolutely unacceptable. This is one of those situations where a genuine apology can go a long way! Then, the NP comes in to look at my daughter's eye. He took a quick look at it - I mean QUICK. He didn't shine a light in her eye, ask her to look side to side to check for eye pain, really gave her a cursory glance. Did not do any other physical examination at all. Then he tells me that an allergy would affect both sides so this must be bacterial and he's prescribing antibacterial eye drops. I ask if she's ok to return to school the next day. He says "Yeah that should be fine". I tell him that she's had allergy eyes in the past and he recommended an OTC allergy drop. I ask if that's ok to use in kids and he responds "hmm, well for her age, yeah I think so." I'm sorry WHAT?! I'm not here for "I think so", I'm concerned about my daughter and expect to be speaking with an expert. At this point, our visit is done and he leaves. After he leaves the room I'm just standing there realizing that no one checked her temperature, vitals, nothing. As I start picking her up to go, another nurse comes in and says "whoops, we forgot to get those vitals!". My mind is completely blown that a "diagnosis" was made with no real "exam", no vitals (What if she'd been running a high fever? Wouldn't that have been important to know?), etc. Add the terrible customer service from the front desk, and the fact that I was STILL worried about my daughter (I did not feel confident at all that we'd received an accurate diagnosis) and I left in tears. $220 to be treated badly by the front desk and spend 5 minutes with a Nurse Practitioner who seemed to have zero expertise or interest. When we got home I gave her more allergy medicine and put her to bed hoping she'd be better in the morning. She was. Turns out, allergies CAN be in just one eye. AVOID THIS PLACE!! read more

I went to this urgent care to get a glass piece (which was visible and bleeding)removed from my toddlers foot couple of months ago. The doctor on call said she removed it during our visit, which she actually did not. I assumed she did as my toddler walked normally. The skin healed and we thought everything was fine. Lately he started to complained of pain. With xrays we realized the glass piece is still stuck in his foot. Now he is being scheduled for surgery with recovery time being 3 weeks, as the glass piece went deeper into the skin. All of this could have been avoided had the doctor been upfront. I am extremely disappointed how the situation was handled. I would have really appreciated, if the doctor had told me that she hadn't been able to get it out. I would have followed up with other doctors when the wound was still open. Would not the recommend the place. read more

We've had great experiences here the 2 times we have been. We haven't waited longer than 15 minutes which is wonderful. Back home in CA, be prepared to sit in a UC for at least an hour. I love online check in. It makes things so much faster. This last time we were in and out within 30 minutes. Both the front and back office staff were great. The provider was great as well. I can't remember her name but she totally made my 4 year old feel comfortable. He was miserable with a double ear infection but she was gentle as ever. He was excited to get a lollipop as we left. read more

Completely disappointed in this office. Misdiagnosed my daughters broken ankle & spent $200+ I am so glad I went to the Orthopedist for a second opinion the next day. Do not waste your time coming here with any suspected broken bones. My daughter was in severe pain and I trusted my instincts. Frustrating to spend that much money on a wrong diagnosis. If I could give zero stars, I would. I took my four years old daughter to this location when she fractured her elbow. They "casted" her incorrectly. She was screaming in pain all night. The next morning we took her to Dell Childrens emergency room. The doctor laughed at her "cast" and said it was laughable and said it did absolutely nothing. Her arm was casted almost straight at urgent care and is the reason she was in so much pain. Now I'm fighting with Urgent Care for Kids regarding my bill. I have sent them pictures of her arm casted by their nurse practitioner and pictures of her arm after casting at the ER. They are willing to remove the charge of almost $170 for the cast. However, if they had casted correctly we would not have had to visit the ER and incurred a medical bill of over $1600. read more

I absolutely love the staff ! They are super nice and make everything easy . We have seen this dr twice now and she is great with kids and made me feel really at ease . She takes the time to answer your questions and makes sure you understand whats going on . I would definitely recommend taking your children there if need be . read more

Quick & very efficient physician and staff -- convenient location! I took my 12-year-old boy to have his ear wax removed lately. He was really nervous about having equipment put in his ear. Dr. Peterson was so patient and very accommodating and tried everything possible to help him feel more comfortable. My son was laughing the entire duration of his visit even though you are at the doctor!! I really enjoyed the great patient service. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere was tidy and clean. The wait time was minimal. Overall, very impressive, I will highly recommend to others! read more

The staff was amazing! My daughter sprained her wrist. On a Friday night about 30 min before they were scheduled to close, they took us in and gave superior treatment and care for my daughter. I knew they were tired but they didn't treat us like an inconvenience. One point I want to focus on is our doctor...He didn't treat me as "that mom" bringing her daughter in for a minor issue. He treated me with respect and didn't act like her sprain was beneath him to treat. Being in the medical field myself, I pay attention to the details and this staff was incredible from the front desk to the nurse and doctor. I literally just walked out of there office with my little girl! And you guys / this was the best, easiest, fastest most friendliest urgent care I've ever been too! I have three kids and I've been to plenty ! You walk in and it's friendly and colorful and most important clean Front desk lady very nice ! Uncomplicated paper work. Very short wait and now comes the best, even while we we're in the waiting room the nurse came out and gave her a ice pack and made her feel so good and the crying stopped! Both nurses tend to us, the sweet nurse (long hair and glasses , I didn't catch her name) took care of my girl and did it beautifully, with a Popsicle and made her really feel better while the other nurse asked me questions. Doctor came in in no time and I felt so understood and they really made sure to be sweet and gentle and made it easy for my daughter to replace and trust them. This was the best and I'm not from this town but if I ever need a urgent care I'll make the drive to come here they are super awesome. If one of the team members read this, you guys are doing a great job and I appreciate you very much, thank you for helping my child !!!!! read more

We had our first visit to Urgent Care for Kids last week when our 3 year old had a 102 fever. The customer service experience from the front desk to Dr. was fantastic! They were so good with our daughter and the popsicle they gave her made everything better! They were thorough in explaining what they were doing, how long it would take and they answered all our questions. Not only is the location great, but the staff and experience was as well! I've been here multiple times for both of my children. The waiting room is always clean. The receptionist is always friendly and helpful and I've met 2 of them. All the nurses and doctors are very helpful. We are seen pretty quickly I have only experienced 1 time where it took awhile but it was after a holiday so it was pretty busy. Went in today because my daughter had a low fever, sore throat and was feeling achy. Nurse said they'd be doing a flu and strep test. They said strep came back negative and that it is probably just a cold virus. Realized when I got home that they didn't say anything about the flu test so I called for flu test results. I was informed that they didn't do this test. Beware: be sure to check and ask lots of questions before leaving. Now we either have to wait it out until Monday and hope it isn't strep or pay another after hours copay to get a doctor's diagnosis. :( We went in December and they said she didn't have strep and she did. Was having them the benefit of the doubt until our visit today. They even called me to tell me she didn't have strep when I had already taken her to her pediatrician. When I told them they still tried to tell me she didn't have strep. read more

The woman working the front desk was awesome, but the nurses and doctor there were the most unhelpful and rude medical team I've ever experienced. The first nurse didn't know how to take my 11 month old's weight, and got frustrated with him when he wouldn't keep his feet on the scale (he's a baby... he doesn't understand commands like that...). The room we were taken into had yellow pee on the floor, of which I didn't know until I had set the car seat and diaper bag down into it. The second nurse that came in tried to get my son's oxygen level and got frustrated with him, resulting in her pinching his finger in the machine. Which at that point made him cry inconsolably. So then she tried to get the oxygen level by using his toe, and then just gave up halfway through it when the oxygen level only read 88. Which to her seemed like no cause for concern. Soon after, the doctor came in and had zero regard to what I was saying. I told her multiple times that this was his first time he was having any form of wheezing, and she refused to actually listen to me, and just kept asking "well how long has the wheezing been going on? Weeks? Months?" I said "No... it just started today. That's why I brought him in...." I had to repeat myself 5 times before she finally huffed and shook her head. She didn't run any tests on him for the flu or RSV even though he had a fever and was coughing so hard he was turning purple. After we left, I took him to the St. David's RR hospital where they did an X-ray of his chest and the flu and RSV test and found out that not only did he have RSV but he had double ear infections. I will never recommend this Urgent Care center again. Unless someone wants to set their stuff down in pee, and have "professional medical staff" completely disregard everything that's being said, then this is definitely the place to go. read more

We took our two year here for pink eye. Super friendly staff all the way around ! They treated our little one with love and care . So refreshing! The Dr even got down on her level and was very helpful and informative. Loved the nurse ! She was so on point with dealing with a child. I'll be back here for sure . read more

Minimal wait time, got the care we needed to be on our way. Staff was professional and courteous. Location is very convenient. Urgent care clinics are much cheaper than the ER clinics with our insurance, as we found out, and for a non-emergency this worked out great. read more

We love this place. We have four young kids and of course, they always get ill after their pediatrician is closed! The wait is usually short and we are in and out quickly. The staff really do seem to enjoy kids. I've even had two of the docs show me their own kids photos on their phones, ha! I love it. Really nice to have an after hours place to go. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. They fraudulently bill you. They have charged me twice now even though my bill has been paid in full and refuse to do anything about it. When I call all I get is a person from India that gives me the runaround. I am a Physical Therapist and have been in the health industry for 15 years. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I've spent countless hours trying to resolve this and they simply don't respond. The next step will likely be legal action as they have left me with no other choice. read more

We just had a terrible experience here. My 4-year-old daughter needed stitches on her chin, and after 2 hours and a botched attempt to glue the cut closed, we were told to go to the ER. The nurse practitioner blamed my daughter for not being able to treat her. This place is not geared towards children. I have never been so upset. Complete incompetence. read more

Took my infant in over a weekend and so glad I did! He ended up having a ear infection. We got there at 7pm and were back home with a prescription in hand by 8pm. Fraudulent billing - same issue as Lisa. The outsourced billing department wanted to double charge us for two visits. They demanded that we either pay again, find a receipt from six months ago, or they'll send us to collections. Go away. Before I went in to this clinic, I had high hope due to good reviews on google. However it turned out to be a nightmare for us. We scheduled our appointment for next day for 9:20 am. This is Memorial Day weekend so we couldn't go to our own pediatrician. When we got there, there were a few people before us as walk-ins. 40 minutes passed 9:20, we haven't been seen by a doctor yet. Those walk ins have mostly seen by the doctor already. What's the point of having an online appointment scheduler if you just take whoever comes first???? This is not the end of the story. Our baby had diarrhea and very poor appetite. We were seen by Dr. Van. She confidently told us those symptoms were due to his teething. She said when baby teething they swallow a lot of saliva and that's why it cause diarrhea-like poop. Then we went home. 3 days has past and the symptoms were still there. We went to our pediatrician and my baby was diagnosed with stomach flu with lab result. Our doctor told us it is untrue that swallowing saliva would cause diarrhea and that's a myth. We were so mad at Dr. Van as she misdiagnosed our baby! She doesn't not seem to fit the job as a doctor. All in all, we would never return to this clinic and would not recommend this clinic to anybody else. read more

My 2 yr old wasn't feeling well yesterday, vomiting and fever. I decided if he was still running fever this morning to have him seen since flu is going around. I made him an appt at the CP Urgent Care for kids for 11:45 via their website. He started declining rapidly after I made the appt and decided to just take him in. We got there just after they opened. I told the receptionist that we had an appointment at 11:45 but told her we wanted to be seen sooner. After waiting an hour we should've been second in line but the gentleman who came in right after me asked how much longer and he was told he was second in line. I approached the receptionist, who was different than the first one we spoke with, and said we would have to wait until our appt time or until everyone who came in prior to that was seen but said she would see what she could do. She went to the back and came back up front and said nothing to me. The family who came in before me was called back then the receptionist told the man he was next. I approached her again and asked why we had to wait until the appt time when we walked in early. She stated that all the other people in the waiting room were in line before me, even though I came in prior to them, because my appt time was at 11:45. I said we should have been put in line when we walked in and stated we wanted to be seen sooner. I did say that I had a very sick little boy and another sick one at home and her response was that there was a lot of sick people there to which I responded, yes, that I was here before. I left there and came to the Cedar Park Regional ER on Cypress Creek (which I hate doing for this kind of thing) and was in a room and seen by the doctor with strep, flu and rsv tests being run within 20 minutes of arriving here. read more

I love Urgent Care for Kids! Unfortunately my son has been in and out since February due to sore throats and ear aches. The doctors are so knowledgeable and caring that I've asked numerous times if they can be my son's primary care pediatrician. Obviously they cannot. Urgent Care takes their time with your child to ensure a proper diagnosis. That's why sometimes there is a small wait when they are busy. Nothing is rushed. Having a sick child is stressful enough but having to return to the doctor because your child was not properly diagnosed is more stressful. As a parent we want the best care for our children and Urgent Care accomplishes that. The nurses are so sweet, calm and caring. Even the receptionists are amazing. Definitely recommend Urgent Care for Kids - Cedar Park for after hour minor emergencies. Since it was 20 minutes before they closed, I didn't sign in online, just drove straight over. I was able to sign in right there, front desk staff was courteous. We were taken back after filling in paper work, so almost immediately. The nurse was with another patient, so the doctor came in to assess my son, decided dermabond and glue was all he needed, fixed him up and we were done in 20 minutes. Such a good alternative to the ER and so glad they stay open until 9pm! read more
