Sadly forced to leave a poor review because my emails with concerns have not been replied to at all. Being overcharged $50+fees per night is not acceptable to me, especially when the food was lacking and oversold online (no smoothies nor evening snack either of the two days we stayed, both of which my kids were looking forward to). Other issues we experienced included the staff using our "dedicated" bathroom, terribly dirty floors and kitchen, and other guest cigar smoking outside just off the porch near my kids. This RV park is on a working farm and was nice and quiet. There are just 7-8 RV spots in a natural setting with FHUs, and a couple are pull thru sites. The owners had delicious cookies waiting for us when we arrived, and delivered amazing scones to us the next morning! Yummm! We could walk around and see the animals, or hike up the hill behind the farm for beautiful views. A large grocery store and some restaurants are just 10 minutes away. Five minutes from Silverwood amusement park. One morning we woke up early enough to see 30 or more elk in the field 100 yards away from our campsite! Loved it, we will definitely be back. read more

Wonderful rustic setting near Silverwood, Couer d'Alene and other local attractions. Just getting started on the RV side of things, so brand new hookups. No dump station, but there are plenty in the area. The owners are enthusiastic and engaged, and the farm itself is authentic and entertaining. Between the farm animals and the local wildlife, there's always something to encounter. Or you can just sit by the communal fire pit and read your book while enjoying the wonderful smells wafting from the kitchen or the herb garden. Highly recommended. This is a great place to stay with families!! We stayed in the bunkhouse. The owners were so amazing and made sure we had everything we needed to make my son's 11th birthday party a HUGE success! The boys enjoyed hiking, playing with all of the animals, hanging in the natural park, and staying up all night playing board games in the cabin. My wife and I spent 5 days enjoying Cedar Mountain Farm. We had made reservations to camp with our Jumping Jack tent trailer at site #5, and upon arrival were greeted with some amazing homemade cookies waiting for us! We proceeded to get to the know the farm a bit before heading off on our daily excursions...petting the goats, seeing the miniature Appaloosas, and meandering through the barn to see sheep and ducks. Later, we even found the rabbits. Our days were filled with visiting family, jet skiing on Lake Pend Oreille, zipling through the trees outside of Coeur d'Alene, and trying out Mennonite bakeries in Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry. We met co-owner Al, who was so much fun to talk to (unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Daryl). Camphost Vickie was amazing; she had mentioned that we might be able to see the *northern lights*, something that had somehow eluded us for decades depsite moderate effort to see them on our part. Well, we stayed up late with Vickie out in front of the farm, and were rewarded with FINALLY seeing them. THANK YOU VICKIE!!! (I'm attaching photos of the northern lights that Vickie took with her cell phone and sent to us fron the experience!). The combination of relaxing farm life and adventurous daily outings made this one of the best vacations we've ever taken. We have stayed at Cedar Mountain Farm for two years in a row now, both times during the summer months, and our stays were outstanding. Al and Daryl are just the best hosts. They are so warm and welcoming, and on our return trip we felt like we were visiting family! The other staff at the farm have been incredibly friendly and courteous, especially Vickie, who welcomes you and has loads of stories about the animals. The farm boasts all sorts of animals, and visitors are encouraged to get close (safely) and mingle with the goats and sheep. The farm is on absolutely beautiful acreage, and we have spent many hours just wandering around, hiking up the hills and trails and enjoying the fresh air. Although just a short drive from some major cities (Coeur d'Alene and more), at Cedar Mountain Farm you feel as if you're on vacation far away from the rest of the world. It's so peaceful!! I cannot say enough good things about the farm, and its owners. Each morning we received a handmade treat at our RV site. Along with the bed and breakfast cabins, there are 7 large and fully-equipped sites on the property. For us, this was the best place we've ever stayed in our camper. So much room for the kids to run. Spacious sites (we have a 32-foot travel trailer and had room to spare on the gravel, then the other sites were spaced out so generously from ours). A wonderful tire-swing. Cats roaming the site free to share their time in the sun with you... it's just such a happy and wonderful experience!! We will be back again this summer, and plan to return as often as we can in the summers to come. They do take bookings in the winter in the cabins, and we hope to check those out someday as well. Al and Daryl and Vickie... thank you all so, so much for welcoming us to your beautiful farm. We felt like family, and so appreciate the relaxing outdoor experience. My partner and I drove out from Seattle for my sisters wedding. The b&b accommodated and fed 32 of our closest relatives. They are so sweet and generous! They found out I am gluten free vegetarian and this sweet couple made me delicious, DELICIOUS meals, including wheatfree waffles! The location was more beautiful than I can describe! The farm is incredible with rescue horses, mini horses, Lama, sheep, goat, chickens...my brother and niece even saw moose! The building are made of giant logs and was originally built as a woman's shelter. Make sure to spend some time with the owners who are truly an inspiration! Stayed here for a 1 year anniversary with the wife and we had a great time. The hosts here Al and Daryl are amazing people among some of the nicest you will ever meet. The house it's self is amazing and very nice inside and out that alone is worth the price to stay here. But then you add on to the fact that you have an amazing view, a farm with animals to see and some nice trails to hike on. Our room had a large jetted bath tub which was a really nice way to end our day. We then woke up to a really nice breakfast. If your gonna stay anywhere within 30 mins of here you may as well just stay in this bed and breakfast instead a hotel where your gonna pay about the same price anyway and not get all the nice things that come along with staying here. My husband and I were invited to attend a wedding in Sandpoint last month in mid-October and after some online research of B&Bs, we decided to stay with Al and Daryl prior to the event. Since we would be arriving off-season and no one else had reserved the other rooms, we were very surprised and grateful when Daryl generously upgraded us to a larger room for the price of a smaller one. Having never been to Northern ID before, our visit to Cedar Mountain Farm B&B made for a most excellent and serene introduction! I have to say that I almost forgot that we were at a B&B because it really felt like we were staying the night with relatives. Shortly after we'd settled in, Daryl even baked us some homemade double chocolate chip cookies, which my husband couldn't stop talking about for the duration of our trip. While my husband and I had so much fun spending time with the animals and walking around to enjoy the brisk fall air, we particularly enjoyed our conversations with Al, Daryl, and even another couple (I feel absolutely terrible that their names are currently escaping me, they are RNs) who stayed over the same night we did. The generosity and thoughtfulness all four of them showed us was truly moving and most definitely akin to what we in Hawaii call the "aloha spirit." Of course, the breakfast the next morning was incredible! We remain deeply grateful and blessed to have chosen to spend time here, and we really feel as though we left not as guests but as family. Can't wait to go back... (P.S. After our visit, my husband reminded me incessantly to ask Daryl for her double chocolate chip cookie recipe, and she very kindly did...! This is the best place to stay. We have stayed here a couple times, everything is immaculate. The house is large with room for everyone. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. If you love animals, they are everywhere, we saw deer, kittens, bunnies, goats, horses; you are able to pet and feed them. The owners will try to help with anything you might need. When we stayed there 7 years ago, my dad was using a walker, we asked Al if silverwood had wheelchairs to rent, he didn't know, but he happened to have one and they let us borrow it. It's my second visit to Cedar Mountain Farm Bed and Breakfast and I can't recommend it highly enough for a getaway by yourself, with friends, with family, with kids, or with a whole group. They have a variety of accommodations ranging from a room, a suite including a room with bunkbeds, to even your own self-catering log cabin. And they even welcome well-behaved dogs. The farm is set on hundreds of acres that has been in Daryl's family for a few generations. She and her husband Al have made the place a sanctuary in nature. Horses, goats, sheep, llama, chickens, cats, bunnies, a rooster, wild turkey and deer enhance the experience. Daryl and Al are superb hosts and their made-from-scratch sumptuous breakfasts and welcoming hospitality will make you feel right at home. It's an easy five hour drive from Seattle but once you're there, the city will feel like a million miles away. Go. Be. Enjoy! read more

We loved this B&B! We found it on the internet when looking for a place near Coeur d'Alene that would be good for us and our dog. The property itself is breautiful and well maintained. The log cabin style of the home is charming and comfortable. Al and Daryl were warm, flexible, and very personable adding to the magic of our stay. Breakfasts were AMAZING - what a treat! Al & Daryl's B&B will be our preferred place to stay in the area from now on. After a brief conversation, we felt we had made some wonderful new friends.
