We made some hot dogs over the fire and did a little walking around. The pool looks nice (we always saw a lot of people swimming). The staff was always nice and kind. They really seem dedicated to having a nice campground. We were really impressed by the camp kitchen. We didn't bring anything we needed to cook, (besides the hot dogs) so we didn't end up using it but it looked nice/useful. If we happen to find ourselves in this area again we will definitely use it! It even had a microwave! The bathrooms were always clean and had warm water for showers. The cabin itself was nice. We rented a 6 person cabin. It was roomy with a double bed and 2 sets of bunk beds. The beds had the classic cabin style mattresses, but not too bad. It had a little heater attached, which was nice when it got a little chilly in the evening. Overall a very pleasant and nice experience! (A personal favorite: the front porch swing on the cabin: such a cute touch)

No sewer hookups to be seen, but we never use our black water line, so. Cool thing is they let non-members stay here, too, and for $60 bucks (members $40), that's a good deal; but, they offer an option to party at the lounge for a small cover charge, and that can be done on the online reservation system. Smart as all get out in my opinion for getting new membership. We stayed on a Friday night, and it was a bee hive of activity. Located in a very quiet suburban area, with some light industrial and the airport right by it. Man, you could do worse in this area for a lot more dinero. Great job, Eagles...

It appears they have power & water, but no sewer hookups. I suppose you'd have to go off site to dump your tank. That would be inconvenient for us. The lodge itself was quite nice. Our bartender was very friendly & we enjoyed chatting with him for awhile. Drinks were reasonable & the place was clean as a whistle. If we lived closer we'd be proud to be member of this lodge.

When we arrived, not only was Steve there to show us to our spot, but several others currently staying. In the park were helpful in spotting some close calls and helping get us positioned just right in our spot. For our rig size, it was a close call and tight fit getting in, but once in our spot it was perfect. They got us in site 11 no problem. Is it an impersonal overly polished concrete and blacktop parking lot style RV Park with perfect level geometry/symmetry everywhere you look? No, but it was one of the best and most relaxing locations we've been so far. It's in the middle of a game preserve, so there are numerous deer routinely wandering around the area. Ahhh nature! As far as quiet goes, evenings were like a cemetery (in a good way). Just lots of peace and quiet to enjoy your surroundings. And the sunsets on the dock & beach! They are about as idyllic as you can get for lakefront property. We spent time swimming, kayaking, and just siting our on the dock enjoying the sunshine. I can speak for the internet/WiFi as we had great T-Mobile reception and so were only on our own hotspots the entire time. 60Mbit down / 8.9Mbit up. Perfectly suited to my purposes.

The fully stocked bar has whatever you may like to include some house specialties that are not to miss. The owners are very friendly and accomodating and are just genuinely nice folks to talk with. Spirit Lake is one of those beautiful places tucked away as a hidden gem. If you need a RV spot this is certainly a go to. We are sure to be back.

These are the cleanest "smaller" campground facilities I've ever experienced! There are MANY site options, and they're well maintained and the gravel is visibly raked and leveled out. Wow! The park sold a little over a year ago and after 8 phone calls / voicemails and one time talking to the new owner we haven't received one call back to tell us if we could reserve a space or if they were full. A courtesy phone call would have been nice either way. Needless to say we have moved on and will take our business elsewhere.
