Looking at the screen shots, with the current exchange rate I'd pay $574 for €500. CXI is charging $635 for €500 on top of the $10 exchange fee. The actual walk-in rate offered to me was 1.05, a near 9% spread away from the current mid-market baseline of roughly 1.15. This lower rate meant a difference of over $150 less than expected. Furthermore, this business features prominent signage stating "Best Rate Guaranteed." I challenged the staff on this policy and offered to provide a digital recording and phone transcript proving that a competitor (Continental Currency) had just quoted me a buy rate of 1.12.
