We take our cars to CCars for oil changes because they are fair on price, easy to schedule appointments, and we trust them.

AAA Tire & Auto Service - We use the best automotive products on the market...

AAA Tire & Auto Service

(22 reviews)

Where to start? From the beginning would be a good idea. I have had several issues with AAA Auto…read moreService. 1. My Expedition needed new tires. Fine. Had AAA order them, and install. When I went to pick up the vehicle I notice a $200 charge for "tire insurance." When I questioned the line item I was told that I had agreed to the service. I had not. The service adviser then challenged my comment stating that I had signed the agreement. Yes, my initials were on the order, but at no time was I asked if I wanted "tire insurance" for new tires. I got into an argument with the service adviser when asking for a credit. Finally, he relented and a credit was issued. Point here: never, ever argue with a customer. 2. Took the Expedition in earlier this week for a state inspection actually believing that it would fail due to possibly needing new brake pads and rotors. Amazingly enough it passed. The next issue follows the inspection. 3. Even before taking the Expedition inspection I noticed a slight vibration through the steering wheel. This persisted even after the "inspection" by AAA Auto. So, I decided to take the vehicle to local shop to chase down the cause. Here are the results: a. all the wheels were out of balance. b. the lug nuts on one wheel were stripped on the outside so if I had a flat there would be no way for me to remove the lug nuts much less the tire. The folks at AAA Auto strike again. c. all the brake pads and rotors were toast. Therefore, they needed replacement. So why did the Expedition pass state inspection? Was AAA Auto hoping that I would notice increased vibration and return so they could do the brake work? I have no idea. Fortunately the work was done by a very reputable local shop. Bottom line: DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO AAA AUTO. EVER!! I certainly won't.

Agreed to 7:30am appointment time. Vehicle was taken in at 8:22am. When I asked for an explanation…read morefor the delay was told that the tech does not arrive until 8:15am. Asked why appointment was set up for 7:30 - answer "I don't control the online scheduling ". The appointment was made by phone with a direct call to the service center. No apology, no sense that it mattered -- no customer care here.

Hogan & Sons Tire & Auto - Cover not put in correctly

The quality of service and availability of tires is really unmatched. Always mostly quick, lots of…read moremechanics on all the time so the availability is reliable. Friendly, flexible, and best of all: understanding. I've gone in with some rough situations and my guys here are strictly business when a lot of other mechanics make a good point to make me feel like an idiot. The fifth star is missing because of value, this place is not the budget option. They don't really carry budget tires, and their labor costs are the same as the dealership. I come to Hogan & Sons for peace of mind knowing that my beloved Ford, that breaks about twice a month, is getting service from the best mechanics in the area.

I brought my 2010 Prius in with a check engine and tire light on. When we dropped off the car, my…read moreson told the service advisor that he thought the issue was the EGR valve; they were dismissive and then came back with that it was an ECM issue and they couldn't do anything with it. My son said it was definitely not that issue, but they were again dismissive and told me to take it to the dealer. I had to then take it to the dealer and guess what? It was the EGR valve (and a lot of damage because of it). To make matters worse, once the dealer took a look at the car I found out that the tires (again, tire light on) on the driver side were at 18.5 psi (instead of 35 and 33 respectively) AND one wheel bearing needed urgent replacement. So I'm out $120 for an incorrect diagnosis AND they sent me home with bad tires and a bad wheel bearing and put me in danger because they knew I had to drive it to a dealer and the closest dealer was 20 minutes away. Extremely disappointing experience (especially when I also had a 10 am appointment for oil change and had to pick it up at 1:30 because it still wasn't even started).
