If you are a bargain hunter, CCA is the place to go. The staff is busy but always helpful, especially the manager. They are blessed to get so many excellent donations especially in the area of furniture which is more than reasonable. If you are looking for clothing & shoes try out CCA for wonderful bargains. Thought I would give them another chance. This time asked to come for pickup and scheduling that was a nightmare and then they show up and say they only take 20 items and it's on the website. That. Website is so poorly designed it may be but I never saw it I just don't recommend trying to help these people. They obviously don't need it. read more

Score. 80's outfit for Yelp Spring Break: check. First stop, first try. Shirt, shorts, and shoes, all for about $12. And in great shape - shoes could have been brand new. I called ahead. "Soooo... y'all have any good 80's clothes?" Pause. "Ummm, I'm not suuuuurrre..." Sounded young. 80's were probably her equivalent of the 60's. Not to worry - it was close to home and I gave it a shot anyway. Glad I did! Nice store. Nicer than the Carrollton CCA Resale shop for sure. Fairly large. Clothes as well as furniture and other housewares. Nice selection of glassware, including some interesting ones. More women's clothes than men's, yet I still had options for my 80's outfit I was hunting for. Good variety of clothes and all seemed to be in good shape. Mine had clearly been washed and smelled of... some fresh-smelling dryer sheet scent. :) Nice employees topped off the experience. I'd recommend this place for sure! If you'll be a frequent shopper, sign up for their email list to get discounts. I saw a sign advertising that... and I believe my receipt did, too... Supporting CCA also supports great local causes. This place is a TREASURE TROVE of hidden gems! I was a little worried when Thrift Giant took over the store, as I was afraid that prices would skyrocket however that does not seem to be the case. Prices are still reasonable, and they have discounts on certain tags in the store (Ex: yellow tags are 50% off) and occasional store-wide sales. During my recent trip to this location, I was able to snag 5 articles of clothing for $12! Some of my favorite finds here have been a brand new pair of UO jeans, a Columbia rain jacket, and some vintage high waisted shorts. My only complaint about the re-branding of the store is that the Home Goods section has been significantly diminished. There used to be an entire section for furniture, shoes, and other home decor, however these have now been replaced with more clothing racks and the shoes and other miscellaneous items are now placed on top of the clothing instead of being displayed separately. This can make it difficult to look through the merchandise sometimes, but if you're a person who is specifically thrifting for clothes this shouldn't be a problem. A plus to the new remodel is that the fitting rooms are now more spacious and plentiful and appear to be more well-kept. Overall, make sure you dedicate some time when you come here because there is a large selection to sort through. You never know what you'll find! read more

Just got done shopping here and have the wounds to prove it. Great stuff like CCA had, but now that Thrift Giant bought it, they staple the price tags on the clothes. I cut myself 3 times looking for size tags and trying on jeans. There has to be a better way! I've also snagged clothes trying to take the staples out of what I bought. Thrift Giant ruined the CCA experience for me. The stores used to be a haven for eclectic merchandise and the inventories were bountiful. After the takeover, the stores have become too clothes-centric and the variety and quantity of other items seriously reduced. It may be an adequate store for those whose main purpose are clothes, but I find it lacking. read more

Why would you let your child run around unattended in a store filled with other people's used junk? Anyways, This store usually has some great finds. The prices seem to have stayed consistent ($4 for shirts typically), and I haven't found them hiking up the price because of the label like some other stores do. They used to have three different discount tag colors but they cut it back to two some time ago. Although, to make up for it they do have a huge dollar clothing section. Of course it's mostly dregs but you'll come across something perfect every now and then. The store has really stepped up over the years and they always offer a great selection. Have never really needed help so I can't say much about service, but I've found the staff to be friendly if anything. Great if you live in town. read more

I'm almost ready free to write a good review on this thrift store because people will shop there more and take away all of the amazing items, selfish absolutely. They have very high and quality merchandise for a thrift feels more like a consignment. You only gripe I have with this place is the staff, there are a couple of nice guys that work in the furniture department but as for the women every single one of them seem to have a horrible attitude, instead of helping you they follow you aroundAnd make you feel like they're watching you because I feel like you're going to shoplift, I spend hundreds of dollars every time I go there I don't need to shoplift. They close at 8pm today. I walked out at 5:40. Dressing rooms were already closed and they wouldn't allow anyone to try on clothes. Also no refunds if they dont fit. Their clothes arent cheap enough to buy and risk them not fitting, wasting your money entirely. read more

I like resale stores cause you never know what you'll find. Out of all the CCA's I like the one in the Colony the best. It is the cleanest, best organized and the people are the friendliest and helpful. They usually have the best quality of selection. In response to the lady whose little boy got hurt. I'm really sorry. We have been going there for years and this must have been a rare occurrence. I also have a small child who likes to play with the toys just incase you were wondering. read more

This is by far my favorite thrift store I've ever been to. Everything is well organized and the selection is always fresh. Though the building is poorly air-conditioned and a little dusty (understandably), it's worth it to stay a couple of hours and search through every rack for a good deal. The staff has always been friendly and there's always a deal going on. Highly recommend!! read more

HORRIBLE STORE I went to drop off donations but was 3 minutes past 6pm so I would have to return another day. If they would have answered when I called I would of saved myself the trip. Next went inside with my sister because she was looking for a chair, I took my son to the toy area. Huge mistake, I will say my son likes to look at all the toys. He took off his shoes for a second before I noticed and went to get them back on him. when he didn't even get 3 feet without falling to the ground crying because he had stepped on GLASS! Why would there be broken glass where the Children's toys are?? simple because they don't care for the safety of anyone! I took off my sons sock because he was already bleeding through it, and I see a piece of glass coming out of his foot. I ask my sister to go ask for some tweezers or something from the first aid kit to help remove the glass. She comes back and says they have nothing, how doesn't a store have a first aid kit?? I get my sister to pull the glass out of his foot, while hes crying the whole time. After I see the size of the glass I go up to the front because we haven't had any employee come help us or heard anyone call for help. I get to the cash register and show the lady the piece of glass that just came out of my sons foot. You would expect her to show a sign of worry or apologize for this happening BUT no. She rudely told me that she it's not her respondsably to be around the store checking for these things. At this point I'm mad with the fact she doesn't care about anyone but herself & being as lazy as possible. I'm telling her they should walk the store and check for these things because anyone could have fallen and have gotten glass in their eyes or worse. Especially in the CHILDREN'S TOYS!!!! At this point I admit I wasn't very calm but I wasn't yelling, when she starts to raise her voice at me. I tell her don't and she starts yelling that I'm yelling at her and I shouldn't tell her don't. All I told her was don't raise your voice at me when I'm not yelling at you. At this time another employee walks up just to stand there like a deer in the head lights. Instead of going to check and clean the glass. I finally get a manager and let her know about the glass, she sends the first rude employee to go clean it, while she talks to me. I wanted a field report to have in case of any infection that could happen to my sons foot but she walked off to go get it and never came back. After this experience I haven't returned yet to speak to the store manager because I'm still very upset and its been about 4 days. Any previous experiences that might of been decent here have been ruined by The cashier and her lack of of help or concern for others safety. read more

I enjoy going to this thrift store. I don't find a lot of things there. However, when I have found something, it was a terrific deal. For example, a brand new Bodium French Press for $8.00 is an excellent buy! The store is clean and the employees are always very nice. read more
