This used to be my go to thrift store, but lately the pricing has been crazy!! I have donated here numerous times so I know they receive everything for free. I understand that they have to make money, but truly they are just outrageous for the times they are selling. Disappointed. I had a really frustrating experience with them & I won't be returning to the store. I have stopped in to Frisco Resale for many years, as well as donated clothing & home decor to them. I recently bought a large piece of framed art & got home with it & sadly it did not fit in the space that I had planned. Since it was a more expensive piece I hoped to exchange it for another piece at the same price. I let the Manager know that I didn't want any money back, in fact, I planned to buy more pieces while I was there! They have a very strict, "No-returns-or-exchanges-policy" that they repeatedly said to me, almost like robots, that there was no negotiating around! She let me know that they already have too much stock & they can't let people return items or they would be doing it all day every day! I asked how my exchanging & buying more was going to be bad for business? She said," It wouldn't, but it was their policy, and had been for years!" I left the large piece there - My last donation, if you will. My intention in writing this isn't to just express my frustration with the situation, but to hopefully help future people who might need to exchange something that was expensive! The "policy" can be adapted to better serve their clients, as well as increase business. They stuck to their policy but they lost a customer - And maybe even more since I have lots of friends & patients that like to know where I shop! read more

Today I went to this establishment to look for a chair for my desk. I was looking around for several minutes when an employee came up to me and handed me a mask. Mind you, I was wearing a mask, which is basically an upside-down face shield. I stated to the employee that the mask I was wearing covered both my mouth and nose. I stated that I could not breathe in the cheap mask that she wanted me to wear. I wasn't going to wear that mask since I already had one on that would do the job nicely. Also, I was practicing social distancing. As a result, I left and they lost a sale. I don't see how this establishment will stay in business in 2021 due to their not understanding the virus. read more

Good selection, good prices, but keep in mind they do NOT have a dressing room. For anything you want to try on and see if it fits, sorry- Can't do it. It's just ridiculous that you can't try anything on. The reasoning is that apparently some people have stolen items according to staff. All of the things are donated to this store, so it's not like they are taking a loss. I think it's implorable to steal from a store so while I understand the concern, the store is punishing the majority of people who don't steal and only want to try it on before they buy! Again, if you are wanting to buy furniture or home items, it's a great place to come. read more

Snooty volunteer in back wouldn't accept a GREAT condition Bob double stroller bc of a spot on the back- that was DUST. It literally began to rub off when I wiped my hand across it. I was like 'seriously?!' I am so sick of this over privileged Frisco mentality. Someone less privileged may not mind wiping off a bit of dust. I sure wouldn't. I'm a fan of "second chance" stores and I used to come to this specific store because this Place is clean and well organized BUT very over priced mainly in furniture and households. The prices in Clothes are "fair" because is noticeable they are very selective with the brands and good shape of the clothes. They hardly have discounts, just once a week for seniors (65+). Since this kind of stores works with donations their main purpose must be to help low income people to get stuff at low or fair prices. read more

Agree with some of the negative reviews about the attitude of some staff and/or volunteers. If you don't like your job, find a different job. If you don't like interacting with people, find a job that doesn't require interaction. A smile, a welcoming look doesn't cost anything. Honestly, I would burn something before I donated to Frisco Resale. I used to occasionally buy an extra $10-$15 worth of groceries at Walmart and drop them by the grocery place. No more. Find somewhere else to donate your items. I recently purged a lot of really nice things I no longer wanted. I could have had a garage sale but decided to donate instead. The drop-off area is run by the snottiest people I have ever met. They wanted to pick through every single item I brought, and said they simply received too much to accept everything. This is true - they have huge trucks and bins loaded down with things. The glut of items is unbelievable. But to rummage through my items as if they were buying it for themselves was insulting. Everything I had was very nice, from name-brand stores and in great condition, and none of it was clothing. No one smiled, said thanks, or seemed appreciative in the least. They have pretty good designer stuff but I had to give them less than on their customer service. If you are in their store close to closing they make you feel like you need to get out asap. They didn't give an announcement about the store closing until after the associate told me the store was closing in a few minutes. Also, I signed up for their rewards program and was not informed on how it works. I missed a birthday reward and a coupon to get a certain percentage off. I asked if they could honor the coupon anyway since no one told me to check my spam folder and she told me "there's always next year" I told her I just felt it wasn't fair and she just walked off as if she didn't care at all. The owner needs to get with the associates and seriously work on providing better customer service. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! Ann Taylor loft suit for $10! Love the sales and fantastic prices! Ask for a stamp card when you go in. If you fill out their survey you get $5 off your next purchase! Check out their website and it will tell you when deals are going on. You can also get email notifications so they will email you when great deals come in. I love this place. Donation is easy. I have also found really nice stuff here. Be prepared to go often and leave with nothing. If you find something you want buy it..it won't be there if you go back. I use to love this place! They had great deals on furniture and home stuff. They recently upgraded, built new space and re vamped old space and now have nothing outside. Now it is expensive and the quality and and quantity are significantly decreased. They have display windows but you can't buy anything from them, for months if ever. So frustrating. I go several times a week and have not found anything in weeks. Sad because they use the money to help people who are struggling in the community. read more

Had some time to kill in Frisco and came over here to find some bargains. I walked out laughing. They somehow think that the price something is new should be the price they charge for it when someone's stinky foot or butt has been in it. Once something is owned and worn the value of it decreases by 50% or more. Not sure how y'all stay in business but you'd do better to provide actual bargains. They're even higher than Goodwill. My fave thrift store! What I love about FR is that the clothing is actually organized by size so it doesn't feel like a flea market. I love looking for vintage pieces here! Now, that being said, it IS hit or miss. Sometimes I walk away with a couple things and a lot of times I end up leaving empty handed. Most recently I got this turquoise blazer, shoulder pads, gold button and all! IN LOVE! Can't beat the $5 pricetag -- looks like something you could get at Nordstrom,yet it's straight from the 80s. Heck yes! The people who work here are also SO nice and friendly as well. Ive never donated to the store, but I totally would if I could find the energy to go through my crazy closet. read more

I would have given this place higher ratings had I not just experienced CCA just a few minutes before.... This place is teeny but also a hidden treasure for thrift shoppers. It may not have the selection you want as far as Christian Community Action or Goodwill but I guarantee it's worth the look. They are so small that donations for big items like couches or sofas are placed in front. BONUS: There was a 1999 Black BMW for sale at $13,000! Who knew you could donate cars!!! When you walk in - its organized and easy to maneuver but since there are lots of people, getting through aisles is tricky. read more

Horrible experience with scheduling pickup. First available date for pickup was 3 weeks. On day of pickup (Saturday) they gave me a 6 hour window for arrival. Then they rejected the donation. Instead of holding up their pickup crew, I let them leave and I called the main office for "Randy." Randy knew who I was, and told her assistant to reject the call. 0 accountability, and will never donate again. I suggest many people heed my warning as well. read more

I have always had a thing for resale shops and thrift stores, so imagine my enthusiasm when I stumbled across this place. Like any resale, shopping can be hit or miss. I have found some pretty interesting items here. Prices are decent and the clothes that I have been able to rummage through didn't look like they had fallen off a mud truck. I went to drop off donations due to a move. I went into the store to see what they had after dropping off. Far, far too expensive for a second hand store. I almost wanted to go back and get my donations back after I went to see what the store was like. If your idea of serving a population of people strapped for cash is $20.00 for a second hand dress, then maybe you should evaluate your idea of lower income. People often eat for an entire week on $20, not spend it on a 10 year old dress. Please reevaluate who and what you are serving. read more

I'm usually not a HUGE fan of thrift stores, but I loved this one! My favorite part was that they have everything organized really well, so you're not searching all day through over crowded racks only to leave empty handed. Their prices are reasonable, and get better the longer the item is there. And these clothes aren't the rags one might usually associate with a thrift store (although there are some great thrift stores out there..don't get me wrong!), they are actually really nice clothes! Another thing I have to mention is how friendly the women working there were. They greeted me with a nice smile, asked me if I needed help, and then explained to me how everything worked. That alone would get me in the door; someone who asks me how I am doing and actually waits for and cares about the answer! read more

So here's the deal..you pull around to there "drive thru" and they have very nice men unload all your stuff (plus they're cute!) and give you a receipt for tax time. much too expensive for a resale shop. Old, outdated items. Lots of furniture but rarely marked down. I asked about the markdown schedule and couldn't get an answer. Isn't the object to move stuff in and move it out? Clearly not their sales model. They have so much stuff in the back but no room to put it out. Here's a thought, start marking stuff down after it's been there for a week! If people go in week after week and see the same ol stuff at the same ol price, they will eventually stop coming in. No need to come in often, same stuff on the floor as was there 3 weeks ago! Get management that knows how to price USED items and how to get it moving out the door. read more

Woot woot is all I can say. My impression is they they think a lot more Iof there clothes than anything else as there were pricey in the boutique section. BUT, we found lost of housewares and knick knacks resonably price. The store is clean, not dusty or crusty and I heard the restock everyday. She then got hostile with me saying Wednesday they dont accept donations and they have to be bagged anyway. She continued to yell at me about a drop off box but she was so upset i never got a clear direction on where it was. Ill just drop my things off at CCA in The Colony they are nicer. read more
