We just had our sunscreens installed "wanted to be ready for summer", and my wife working a late shift so she's sleeping in. With the blinds and thin curtains we already had, the bedroom is now nice and dark, she has no problem sleeping in. The other bonus that we didn't expect, it cut down on the outside noises a lot. You can still hear the jets from Luke but it cut down a good bit of the high pitched noise that's really annoying. We also have a neighbor down the street that has a truck "without mufflers" and he likes to rev it in the morning waking people up. The screens have just about eliminated that sound in our bedroom, so no more wake up calls from the roar of that piece of junk. After taking a huge hit to the pocketbook last summer for the SRP bill, plus after attending the Home and Garden Expo in January, I decided to take action and look into getting some sunscreens on the house. Coming from a family of contractors, I know the questions to ask, and the websites to search (AZRoc, etc). After already getting bids from 4 other companies, Christan (CC) was the last contractor to come and give me a bid on 6 sunscreens and 2 rescreens of our security doors. Christan did not just come to give us an estimate and take half ass measurements. She took EXACT measurements, right down to the 7/8 of an inch. Said that if I was still getting estimates, to just give the businesses the measurements so I could get a quote over the phone. WHAT COMPANY DOES THAT!? Here, use my measurements and save the other companies the time and gas of having to come out. I think it was at that moment, I knew I would probably be going with CC Sunscreens. When it came to the door screens, I opened them so she could get measurements. Right off the bat, she stated that they only had frames in the 1inch size. Every other company said they could rescreen these doors, without even opening the doors and looking at the size frame were needed. But stating that all their screens had 1 inch frames. Makes me curious if I would have gone with another company, what would have happened with the door screens. $262.00 for 6 sunscreens using Textilene 90%. The sunscreens were installed yesterday. But I don't think Sunday installations are a regular thing - playing catch-up for their customers due to their install truck being totaled a few weeks ago. I didn't mind the few extra weeks wait seeing as I had not given them money yet. I knew I'd get my screens sooner or later. And thankfully Mother Nature cooperated and it stayed unseasonably cool for those few weeks! We love the results of the sunscreens so much, I called them hours after the installation. We noticed that big of a diffrence. We scheduled an appointment for tomorrow to get a bid on the remaining 3 windows, all north facing. I look forward to seeing a cheaper SRP bill this summer! :) read more

We chose CC Sun Screens because they are a family-owned, local company, even though their estimate was higher than 2 others. I would have given them a 5-star rating, but their screen started coming out of the track just 1 year after installation. I called them to see if they would come out and fix it. It would have been a 5-minute job for them. I got no response -- very disappointing. For what we paid, I feel one year is unacceptable. We don't have the tools or know-how to fix it, so I guess we will have to pay someone else to fix it before it unravels more. read more

I placed my order on 4/25/22. I was told it would take 2-3 weeks. I waited 4 weeks to call on 5/16. It took 3 voicemails each a few days apart to get a call from the owner promising my screen door the following week. I am writing this on 6/12. No door, no update, no explanation. I told the owner I would update my review after our less than positive experience and terrible installation of our anti-golf ball screens. Although we don't love the look of the installation, they are now secure and straight. They are on a side of the house that many won't see and if they do the job protecting the windows from golf balls then we'll be satisfied. My husband and I moved into our new home last year and received a handful of quotes for sun screens. CC Sun Screens provided us with the most cost effective quote for what we were wanting, not to mention we really liked their customer service. Seth came out to measure everything and we had our screens and sun shade within weeks. They look great and have greatly managed the direct sun on our home. We recently had a large wind storm which knocked one screen off from our second story. Seth came back out and replaced the screen and tightened any others that were loosened from the harsh wind. If I knew what I know now, I would not have purchased sunscreens from CC Sun Screens. Met them at the Home and Garden show and the owner came out promptly for a quote. Accepted quote, drew up contract and was told it would be a few weeks for sunscreens. On initial install, 3 screens were not built so had to take measurements and get new ones made. Most of the remaining screens were installed except 6, which would be installed upon their next visit. After checking installed screens, noticed almost every left screen (from a pair) rattled as they installed the wrong length of clip. It took numerous calls/voicemails/texts to get a date when they would come back out (was told it would take a few days but it took almost 2 weeks). Upon return, installer was going to install remaining screens plus 3 new screens. Mentioned the issue with the rattling screens - he said he knew that was a problem but didn't bring new clips (he was just going to install with the existing clips he had brought). Told him not to install any screens until new clips could be brought out. Queue another round of calls/voicemails/texts to see when they would come out (was told 2 days but that ended up being almost a week). Finally brought right size clips but the 3 new screens they made were black instead of brown. Was told it would be a few days before they could come back out. Queue a 3rd round of calls/texts/voicemails/excuses until they came out almost 2 weeks later. Work was finally completed just over 7 weeks after contract/deposit was given. I had a few neighbors inquire about sunscreens after seeing the new ones going up and I told them don't bother with this company unless you want delay after delay and excuse after excuse. I understand businesses go through ups/downs but this was beyond what any customer should have to go through. I should not have to make repeated calls/voicemails/texts to see when they are going to come back out and finish the job. I also should not have to point out mistakes that were made and ask them to correct it (multiple times). Quality assurance is not their strong suit. I got the feeling they just want to complete the job, collect the payment and get out of there. Steer clear of this business. There's plenty of better/more reliable companies out there. Why 3 stars with the crappy review? The sunscreens themselves look fine after all is said and done. I don't think it's fair to give them 1 rating overall as the job was eventually completed (although they get a 1 rating for customer service as no customer should have to chase down a company to come out and finish a job they started several weeks ago). read more

I ordered screens on July 20th and they were finally installed September 27th - a bit longer than they said the turnaround time would be. It has been hours since instal, so far so good! The guy that did the measuring was rude. The people on the phone were always nice, but no help in getting the screens completed and installed. read more

I had a minor problem with one of the screens CC installed last year. I called their office and explained the problem. CC scheduled someone to come out reset screen and make sure other screens up to par. Their response was great and made me feel that I made the right move when I hired CC to install new screens because they back up their promise that any problem would be resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. read more

On 4/18/21 or so, I completed the on-line form requesting a quote. On 4/19 I got a very nice note from Sandy advising that they had a slot available on 5/12 & that if they had something open up sooner, she'd let me know. On 5/11 I got a robo-text confirming the appointment and a "thank you" to my reply. On 5/12, 1/2 hour after the end of the appt window I still hadn't heard from them so I texted to see what was going on. An hour+ later, I got a reply saying the guy was running late. 3 hours later & still no word I texted again. 2 hours later, I got a reply apology text saying their guy had called in sick for the day, but he'd rescheduled with all customers (or left vm's) for Sunday. I advised I'd not gotten anything... no text, no vm, nothing. No response to that text. No follow-up call/text scheduling for Sunday. No visit from the tech on Sunday. I'd rearranged my day to be at home on 5/12. The whole thing left me with a bad taste in my mouth for CC Sun Screens. I now have to start the process all over again with another company. Didnt get a call back, so called again in mid-July and was told that materials for the frames were backed up, which we understood, and they were to call to schedule. Ancouple more weeks were by, and after another call to this company, we still never heard back. What an outstanding company CC Sunscreens is. I got several quotes from companies to put sunscreens on my windows and got the best deal from CC Sunscreens so I went with them. Long after the work was done my HOA brought an issue with my sunscreens to my attention that I had noticed prior but didn't make a big deal about it and was going to live with it. My HOA told me I needed to fix the issue or they would not approve the sunscreens even though they were already on the window and had been for a long time. I called CC Sunscreens and spoke to Seth and he came out and looked at the issue and said it was a mistake they made and they would rectify it at no charge even though I offered to compensate them some way since it had been so long ago. He declined my compensation and made and installed new sunscreens that will allow me to get HOA approval. A year ago, we met with every sunscreen vendor that had a kiosk at the Home and Garden show, and decided upon three vendors, including CC Sun Screens, to come to our home for an estimate. At the show, the CCSS staff were very thorough in explaining our options and applicable rebates from SRP, and their pricing was slightly more affordable than the other vendors. I appreciated that they were not aggressive in any way, rather, they presented information and answered questions in a factual manner. Within a span of two weeks, they had come out to measure our 2,800 sqft home and installed nine shades that fit great and matched the framing color perfectly. A year has since passed since the install, and the fit and finish of the screens looks as great as they day they were installed.
