I've been to the salon twice and both times were terrible. The second time was the last time. I had made an appointment for a dip manicure and pedicure. I arrived with my friend who was also having two services done. They started with our pedicures. Neither of us had our nails wrapped prior to our pedicure, which we both thought was strange but we didn't question it. The nail tech Lily, who was working on me was surly from the start. She never smiled. She never really greeted me appropriately and she really never even made eye contact with me. Her "massage" started as lightly rubbing my skin with no pressure applied, and when I asked for a little bit more pressure, she proceeded to start scratching me very aggressively. She was extremely rushed through the process. The nail polish was applied very sloppily, so much so that it started sloughing off hours later and I needed to have it replaced the next day. At the end of the service she said OK you can go upfront and pay and I said but I'm supposed to be having a dip manicure. She said I asked you if you wanted a manicure and you said no. That never happened. Further, I would've assumed that the front desk would've told the nail tech that I had made an appointment for two services not just the one. So then she proceeded to blame the front desk for not ever telling the her what services had been booked and she commented that they never do. What??? That's crazy. What's the point of making an appointment for two services if the Nail Tech doesn't even know when I'm supposed to be having done? Lily then wanted to soak my entire fingertips in acetone for expedience sake, but I asked if I could have my nails wrapped instead as I preferred not to have my fingers soaking in acetone. She was clearly not pleased with that request. So she eventually wrapped my nails and then proceeded off to do a pedicure for someone else. Being mindful that my friend was also there and having another service which clearly appeared to be going faster than mine, and not wanting to hold her up, I went to the front desk and asked if someone else could complete my service. Sitting there as the next unfriendly tech began, I was so dismayed with everyone's lack of concern for the issues (Lily, the replacement nail tech and the front desk staff) I decided to simply have them remove the dip as I wasn't confident that the next person was going to do any better than Lily had. I left, knowing I would have to go to another salon to have the dips reapplied. More interesting, when I gave a poor review on Google, the salon, then responded with a bunch of lies about how I was being aggressive and the nail tech not feeling comfortable enough to continue with me. NONSENSE. The lack of apology, the lack of customer service and the lack of accountability is not surprising given what I experienced. Save yourself the trouble and AVOID this place at all costs. If I could give it a negative score I would. read more
