This review is about the truly awesome people who work there …read more Last Sunday 8/3/25 my boyfriend and I stopped in for hot crabs and cold beers after a long day on the beach . Crabs were fantastic, our waitress, Linda was very nice ,and after dinner we decided to take a walk around the back and check out the boats and the water. While stealing a hug the lanyard holding my car keys somehow snapped off and like in s l o w motion we saw them drop into the dark, muddy water . JFC Fortunately two of the girls working there got Colin to come out and use a net to try to scoop them up . After several failed attempts to find them we figured they had sunk in the mud and most likely wouldn't work even if we found them . We thanked Colin , gave him a tip for his help, and proceeded to TRY to get an Uber back to Bowie . We must have waited for 10-15 minutes hoping we could find a ride but to no avail- now what ? Low and behold big, beautiful Colin comes walking out front dangling my keys !!!!! We didn't realize he'd been back at it all this time trying to help us !!! Next thing .... hit the button and the key fob worked !!!!! Unbelievable considering they were submerged in the muck . Colin went way out of his way to help us and we couldn't be more appreciative. We stopped by again yesterday for crabbies and beers ( keys in my bag ) and hooked our guy up ! Colin, we love you buddy !!! Thanks so much for being so flipping awesome! Angela and David

The ambiance is nice and comfortable, 3 floors of historic memorabilia, my favorite pieces were the cool antique cash registers. The service was beyond exceptional! Our waitress Erin was very attentive and knowledgeable! She recommended the green fried tomatoes I was considering and boy they were nothing like I've ever had! So delicious! Packed with flavor! For dessert I had the seasonal peach cobbler made with fresh locally grown peaches! A-mazing!

We were seated immediately. For starters we ordered 2 crab dips, 2 orders of fried green tomatoes, & 2 orders of crispy wings (Old Bay). Our non-alcoholic beverages included Pepsi products (no Coca-Cola ), ginger ale but no ginger beer. All of the appetizers were on point with flavor & texture. Also the Old Bay chicken wings were not as salty as other places serve them. I ordered the crab cake sandwich & onion rings. I had to box my crab cake because the small plates filled me up. I heated it in a pan later with a little olive oil spray and it was good. Our generous shipmate took care of thei bill so I'm not sure if splitting was an option. This was my first visit but definitely not my last. I enjoyed the relaxed vibes and proximity to the resort & dock.

There is a big sandy area to sit and watch bands, and a game area with corn hole and beach vibes. I hope the community comes out and supports the Beach Bar Version 2.0. It's a total upgrade

Good food in an odd setting…read more Four of us popped by for Friday lunch while wandering and sightseeing a couple weeks ago. The construction is off-putting, but if you find your way through the resort lobby and out to the patio, you can wander a few docks and look at the Bay. We didn't have high hopes, because there was only one occupied table, and they were just having beers -- the place looked kind of closed. But we asked the young lady at the patio entrance if we could get food, and she seated us at an outdoor table with a view. We ordered a round of sandwiches, and they were surprisingly good! Two of us had the smash burger, a double stack of brisket-and-short-rib-blend burgers, juicy and generous, with cheese and "smash sauce" on a brioche bun. The other two had versions of the BLT, one with avocado added, on ciabatta bread with garlic-and-herb mayo. These were all well prepared and delicious. And the French fries that several of us ordered were waaay better than we would have expected -- fresh and hot, among the best thick fries I've had. Food came out pretty quickly, and the service was adequate. Disappointingly, I couldn't get unsweet iced tea for some reason. We had no idea when we wandered in while driving by, but this was the venue for a fancy wedding we attended a few years back. The construction has been ongoing, and the look of the place from out front is different. The tab came to about $100, not cheap, but we really enjoyed it.
