I gave it a try in spite of the poor grading and negative reviews. However, I just cancelled my order of a Landscape Bed that was purchased on August 1st and to be delivered on August 14th, that was now delayed until Late September due to delivery inconvenience. I live in a building in DTLA with a smaller elevator, during my purchase I advised the sales associate to verify the shipping dimensions of the package with the dimensions of my elevator and he assured it me it would be fine, no problem. As I also told him a stair is possible, too for larger packages. I know my building so I am upfront. The bed was brought to my building on the 14th, did not fit in the elevator and the delivery company only sent 2 people for a very heavy bed. The very polite delivery men, said no problem it can be done with a 3rd person. That their warehouse should just be able to push it out on the next day delivery. So then CB2 customer service comes in. I call and Jessica (great customer service lady) assured me Monday 17th or Tuesday 18th I will have my bed. Then I get an email pushing back to the 23rd. A second email comes from Karen that now my delivery was pushed to early September. I called, no answer... so I call the store 2 days in a row, according to one associate, 5 people were looking and working on my order! Wow.... and he will call me back with an answer, no call. Today, I call and this the ending to this story: 1.My bed was delivered to someone else, because my delivery was inconvenient. 2. That was the last bed in stock, so now I was on back order un til END of September 3. They were trying to lie to me saying the warehouse probably didn't know and they gave it away by mistake. LIE! I was on the phone with the delivery guys calling their warehouse (with the physical bed inside my building's lobby) and CB2 customer service was aware live and later on the phone with me. 4. Apparently Collecting money in advance and not delivering what's promised is a practice. 5. Speaks about the level of respect that this company offers their customers, or just certain customers. Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience. Reply: Thank you Tricia, but I am not interested in giving you my order number. What will exactly happen? Will I be promised once again I will get my delivery for a fully paid product? Honestly waiting 2 weeks for an in-stock item was already a long lead time. One other thing to keep in mind for your business is: customers use valuable time to make room and prep their homes for this kinds of transactions. Getting a furniture delivery is not the same as getting an bag of groceries. There's time and emotions invested. Starts by searching for something you like, trips to the stores and financial planning, based on this experience, you are not honoring your clients. A two thousand dollar transaction should be done with more integrity because the deliveries are not done for free. I could not put my valuable rest on a piece of furniture that comes from a place of no respect for me, or maybe just customers who look like me. read more

I ordered some items when I came in the other day but they were backed ordered. They gladly ordered them and called me when they were ready for pick up. I love the store. It's located in a great area on sunset and crescent heights with lots of parking. They valet for 2 hours so win. When I came into the store I was greeted by someone and I told them what I wanted and they smile and asked for my name. When I got the items. They were Jair what I wanted. They asked if there was anything else I needed and I mentioned some glasses. They directed me to them and I was able to get some very cool glasses. Went to do an online chat and they said everyone was busy helping others. Clearly, they have a lot of people complaining if they can't get to the people on hold or in online chat. Ordered a table that is on back order. I don't know if I knew that before I purchased or after, but if you don't have instock, remove from the website. It's still on the site! I ordered some beautiful dishes on the cb2 website. I paid extra money for express shipping for my package to arrive by Friday but it came on Saturday. When I contacted them via the customer service line. The lady blamed me for ordering too late. Rule 101, customers are always right. And not to be a prick, but in this case I was right. The only reason why I ordered them in the first place was because Cb2 said: "Friday delivery by 9pm". It never came on Friday. Hopefully someone can understand my frustration. Customer service seemed careless, and avoided me. I love CB2! I've bought a lot of furniture from here: I have the Peekaboo console (which I use as a desk) the fire engine red bar stools, the Fuel red credenza, and soon I hope to add the Peakaboo coffee table to my collection. I really like their new Saturday "DIY" weekends they've been doing. I learned a lot about gardening the last time I went, and anyone who says the prices are steep has clearly never shopped for modern furniture outside of IKEA because I've looked at nearly every modern furniture shop in West Hollywood and CB2 is the only spot where the majority of the pieces are under $1000. My only quibble is that I wish furniture pieces would have more color options. For instance, I love all of the "Gloss" storage furniture, but it only comes in white, which unfortunately doesn't fit my home's color scheme. read more

I like a lot of the items that this store has, however this store has really awful customer service. I've been here a bunch of times (and bought a bunch of things) and I have never been very thrilled with the attitude of the people they have on the floor. I do a lot of shopping at Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, and Sur La Table, and those folks are always so warm and friendly and eager to help. I was an extremely loyal customer to CB2 and ordered from them for our company office as well until I ordered a dresser and the delivery men damaged my home. Attached is only one photo. If you click on it, you'll see they completely popped off the transition board to my bedroom. When the delivery men scuffed my wall, they carelessly uttered the phrase "CB2 is a rich company. They'll pay for that". Little did they know, CB2 does not take accountability for damages done by the delivery company which is called Ryder. The claims process that CB2 outsources and facilitates back to Ryder is the most unprofessional and callous process I have ever seen. The ONE MAN handling claims is the opposite of customer facing, made no effort to empathize or expedite my case; even though, it was outside the window of process time. I had to proactively follow up and I have just been quoted 3 weeks + until I receive compensation via the outdated and unreliable method of paper check. Why would I ever order from a company again who does not protect its customers from the unprofessional delivery company that they sent into my home. I highly warn anyone to utilize them, and if you do I wish for you that nothing gets damaged because you will have to fight whole time after to be rightfully compensated. read more

4.5 Stars. This review is primarily for their housewares and customer service in-store. Customer service was friendly and they wrapped everything carefully. Parking is in a connected structure for the whole gigantic plaza and can be validated at the registers. I loathe Ikea, it's overwhelming and a maze that traps you and forces you to look at everything, and I try to like Target because it's there and when I just stare at a houseware item in Target thinking if I did long enough I might actually like it, it will transform before my eyes, and I will like it...it doesn't and I really don't like it. Target is like "settling" for something you're not that crazy about. Something is just aesthetically off and the price is not right for me not really liking it. I love the housewares here because the aesthetic is actually, well, "cerebral." It's like a breath of fresh air when you come across something that looks like it was well thought out...which is like 10% of material goods that exist. They had a wabi sabi collection that maybe could have been more minimal and was still a bit kitschy for a "wabi sabi" attempt. The selection in store is not as vast as online; online items seem to release earlier and they'll get it later from another warehouse. I cannot comment as to how it is ordering online here. The prices are amazing; quality cups range from 1.50 to 13.95 or so and a better deal (saves a few bucks like getting 1-2 free glasses) when you get a set of 8. The glassware sets I purchased made in Poland are impressively thin (like as close as I've possibly ever been to feeling like I'm holding nothing) but durable which I thought were perfect for crisp cold water and juice. I like contrasts so I also opted for another glassware set that is a "double old fashioned" so a double thick glass with unique tortoise pattern of melty, runny dots. I was not a total fan of some of their rugs, I felt they were overpriced for the materials used but then again, I'm not a fan of rugs at all. The furniture seemed comfy and well priced (but all seemed "low lying" platform style not tall) as did their comforters, bedding; super affordable and quality bath items but a small and limited selection; drapes were ok, average about $150. They have so many knick knacks, I could spend a lot of time there thinking up things I don't really need...I wasn't expecting anything from this first CB2 experience so I was pretty "blown away." read more

This is not so much a review on the actual WeHo Cb2 but their delivery distributor. I ordered the leather Savile sofa; it has been on back order since December. I was so excited when I found out it was ready for delivery. I arranged to have it delivered today (1-10-17). I made arrangements with my apartment building so they could let the movers in my apartment. I have has a bed and coffe table deliver from CB2 without any issues. Today was a different story. I received a call at work from CB2 that the movers were denied access? I called the apartment office and they said that was not true and that they were getting the key to let them in the apartment. They also told the movers if they didn't want to wait they could start moving the sofa and that someone would meet them in front of the apartment. The driver stated he didn't want to wait nor would he start brining in the sofa and left? The distributor called me again and said they had waited a half hour to try and get the building but would contact then to stay until they were let in. I called the apartment and was told they had already left awhile ago. They said the mover was antsy, waited 10 min and left. I called CB2 and was told I would be charged for then not being able to deliver?? Really the mover refused to wait for the key and left...and I have no sofa and should pay an extra 100.00 My time frame was 1215 to 0215 pm. Cb2 said that time allowed for delivery,set up, getting let into the building. That never happened. I called Cb2, the distributor and the cb2 store again to speak with a manager. Bottom line I was told there was nothing they could do. They could have cared less that the office said the driver took off with out waiting. I gave them contact numbers of the office for further proof the driver took off. Again they said sorry nothing they could do. Which really means "we could care less if you have been a long time customer, we could care less if you ever shop with us again...we just don't care". The manager said he would check out one more option to have the sofa delivered. That was 5 hours ago and the store is now closed..no call back. Because it's not CB2s problem. The delivery person wasted everyone's time because he would not wait for a key. Instead the sofa is being loaded and unloaded back to a warehouse...in the rain, I can only imagine the what that will do to the sofa. The burden is on me and added cost because the delivery person was not held accountable for his actions. The customer is always wrong and there is nothing they can do. They don't care. I would love to have that job where you have no responsibility and are held accountable for nothing. Update: The WeHo store contacted me and rectified the situation. I love my sofa! read more

I bought a mirror I had wanted for ages - I tried Amazon but they did not have the size I wanted. - Let's face it, no-one beats Amazon for service. Interesting that CB2 do not have a delivery date at all - then when you check it just says PROCESSING (for a week at least) Then FINALLY it arrives and I mean FINALLY - try getting a hold of customer service - like many I stayed on the phone for over an hour - then thought OK I will bite - call me back when my turn comes -- it is 3 days later and my turn has YET TO COME. Now - I appreciate it is tough to reopen in these times - but my suggestion is - IF YOU WANT TO OPEN your business again BE READY - have more customer service reps!!!!!!!! - give shipping dates -- With so many options why would I ever chose to be this frustrated again. Sadly will not ever do business with a company that I cannot contact - rely on or that uses excuses like "Due to higher demand than normal" - heard it all before. read more

Finally got someone to speak with me and they not only had my wrong address, they now told me the bedding is no longer in stock. So I waited three months for nothing. This is bad business, folks. This review is specifically for Jean. She was so rude and not at all helpful. We called ahead before we drove 45 mins to the store to make sure that they had the specific piece we wanted. They ensured that they had 2 in stock. When we got there, Jean let us know they had none in stock and had so much attitude it actually caught me by surprise. She actually acted like she didn't believe us that we had literally just called. Not helpful, not apologetic, not nice at all- no concept of customer service at all. This is the worst product that I've ever purchased in a long time(Online). I bought two dinner plates from the collection called Cuatro. The surface of the porcelain is uneven. There were small spiky dots on the plate. The plates are unstable because it has a bowl shape instead of being flat. The unsteady plate will spin like a Yoyo if you give it a push. The scale of their products looks totally different than the actual size. I will keep the products, because the shipping fee to return costs more than the products. Lesson learned, do not purchase a plate that's cheaper than a cup of cappuccino. read more

The sales person Ben was aigghhht, but the dumbass working the register should be fired and replaced with another CB2 automaton. What bothered me, is that I got no greeting, "thank you", and my biggest gripe! Instructions on where to pick-up my product after I had paid, instead I HAD TO ASK where I was supposed to pick it up. Luckily I paid attention in the parking garage to notice where the pick-up area was, so it wasn't hard to find, but customer service sucks from start-to-finish. If customer service is going to be like this, they might as well replace the human water sack manning the register with an R2-CB2 unit that can process my credit card, thank me, instruct me where to go to pick-up my product, and shut down all the trash compactors on the detention level! In regards to marketing, are they positioning themselves horizontally with CB, or is this vertically below it? According to price, I'd assume below it. If that's the case, than I guess that's cool that I got my lamp in a nondescript cheesy brown package with a big "Made in China" stamp on it, but the experience should be down to the details. They've lowered my expectations, and they should have at least had "CB2" printed on it. Otherwise, I'm going to think that on the East Coast this product is also sold by "Woodchuck Chucks Super House of Furniture" for only a low Woodchuck Chucks price of $98.98! Yelp: I think it's time to let us give .5 stars damnit!! CB2 is definitely a 3.5 to 3.75 only because I didn't find anything I wanted to feature in my apartment. I'm one to usually buy furniture and household knick knacks at the drop of a hat when I enter a furniture store, but it just didn't happen. My lack of purchase wasn't because I didn't like the stuff, a lot of it just isn't my style. I LOVE the bright colors (my favorites: Orange and blue as pop colors), but the furniture is very mod/vintage and kinda euro(?) and slightly uncomfortable looking. Lady Gaga would LOVE this place!! Then again, I may be of the "older person" mentality in terms of style so I may stick with regular CB. I just can't think outside the bun. Their best items are mos def their dinnerware: sleek, cool shaped plates, serving platters, and uniquely shaped martini/cognac glasses. I did think about getting one of their space-saver bookshelves, which were sculpted from metal and were shaped to stack the books vertically along a single post (looked like a ladder, kind of). Definitely good for a corner of the apartment without being as bulky as a regular bookshelf. Too bad I have like 10 books, 5 of which are Choose-Your-Own Adventures and 2 Goosebumps. Boo to the fact that they sold out of the one thing I actually came here for: LP record frames. They're cheaper here than Urban and they look pretty nice from what I've seen. Very popular according to the store attendant. Despite my failure, it's still a great place to browse and find cool stuff. It's like one of those "Whoa, what the hell is that, a massager?"...."Oh, it's a magazine rack" kind of places. Oh, and I WILL get those record frames!! Although I found the little white gnome statues guarding the display windows of the store more "gaud" and less "mod", I decided to check out what Crate & Barrel's hipster sister was all about. I was not entertained when they had their grand opening shindig a few months back and the invitees hogged all the parking and made me late for my class at Crunch. Damn you freeloaders and your free booze and bright orange giveaway bags full of free shit! As is the case for most hot new trendy places, I like to visit when the dust settles and the sheep have followed the herd on elsewhere. I moseyed in on a Sunday and perused the goods. A very nice sales guy helped me get ringed up without giving me the once over or stink face for being all stinky & sweaty post-workout. My take? Limited selection of real furniture (more is available in their catalog), but it's definitely a find for flare - interesting vases, affordable cheap but chic dinnerware, place mats, too cool for school office accessories, rugs, and a handful of impulse items like dog silhouette magnets, no-staple staplers, and travel tags. They have some pretty decent sale items - I got a cool "tilt" vase for only $1.95 and the impulse dog magnets for $5 and change. Walked outta there with just under $8 spent. Park on P2 towards the middle elevators..take it up to ground level and CB2 will be on your right - you can't miss it. I like West Elm better - it's modern and a little more sophisticated. But if my memory serves me right, West Elm, Crate & Barrel, CB2 are all the same company so I'm still paying a compliment! read more
