Brisket Sandwich with a house salad.
    Jason B.

One of the sandwiches I've ever had! I ordered the brisket sandwich it was simply phenomenal! Start with bread. I'm not sure where they get it or how they toast it but it was perfect. The brisket is made by the master chef, Manno, and he is truly a master at what he does! The service was great as well. Personable, knowledgeable, and fast! I can't wait to go back!!

I am in town visiting and chose this place because they allow dogs on the lower patio. I wanted to try their green Chile burger and it was amazing. The fries were good too, the battered kind with a meaty center. My dog enjoyed watching and they brought her a bowl of water. Mellisa L. was a great server! Friendly, attentive, always checking to see if we needed anything and also made good menu suggestions. She has me convinced to come back for Barbeque!

Our TAC group giving the new Service System a thumbs down.

Here's Our weekly TAC group giving the new "convenient" ordering system at CB Potts at Colindale Golf Course a double thumbs down. They have eliminated wait staff. instead, we must wait in line at a podium, aka "a convenient serving station," to order every time we want a drink or food. It is NOT "convenient" and it doesn't "improve" our dining/drinking experience. Oh for the old customer-centric, original Potts on W. Elizabeth. Our girlfriend just came back saying she had to fight to get the happy hour rate on her wine.

We have come here every Steelers game for 5 years....today when we r playing for playoffs they double booked our room and kicked us out in 4th qtr of our game despite having food and drinks on table! No respect for locality!!!! We need to find a new place that murually respects their customers!!!!

I love coming here for happy hour. The bartenders are great and the atmosphere is relaxed. Rachel is the best! The prices are great and the golf course is nice! Family friendly, full bar, and a big menu. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite team. A great local spot if you need something quick or laid back! A few things to try: The Disorder Porter, the Ahi tuna nachos (if on menu at the time), and the garlic fries!!

Brisket sandwich supposedly. More like grilled cheese with a tiny bit of burned meat

This was our go too for many years. Love the patio looking out in the course. Today food was not great and prices have gone up so much. $15 for a sandwich. The picture is my brisket sandwich. Maybe 2 ounces of meat. Very disappointing.

pretzel sticks with their delicious cheese sauce

Apparently it has been several years since my family and I have been here. I didn't remember the place at all but I'm glad we came back. I got to try my families food and everything was sub par to really tasty. My dish which was the pulled pork tacos was really good I would get that again. I thought the fish and chips were really good too but its also really greasy so not sure if they can change that but it would be nicer. I also really liked their pretzel sticks with cheese sauce. The cheese sauce is pretty addicting (lol), so I would get that again too! Definitely will return!

Hands down our family's favorite restaurant. Great company - spot on with the service, food, beer and atmosphere.

It is a fairly noisy place so I feel the upstairs was a little quieter and I was glad not to have been seated in one of several booths near the entrance with so many people standing and waiting on seating. Our server was nice and attentive, and the food came out rather quickly. I had an pleasant DC Oakes IPA and the Bomb Diggity hamburger with sweet potato fries. The burger was very tasty (a fat bomb) and with the fries was a substantial amount of food - I was only able to eat about half of it all. However, that burger had to be the saltiest burger I've ever eaten. Curious, I went to the DC Oakes website to find nutritional information about my meal and there is no nutritional information. A third-party website (Marcos.menu) offered the following on the Bomb Diggity: Calories: 1200; Protein: 50g; Carbs: 55g; Fat: 85g. Nothing about sodium. My wife is on a sodium-restricted diet and she knows not to order anything like this burger. But still, nutritional information would be nice to know. When do you plan on putting this information on your menu for your customers? I will return to sample more of their beer and food selections.

Eh. Over recent years, I've had very hit and miss experiences at the downtown Austin's. Yesterday…read morewas another disappointing miss. We stopped in for a late lunch, arriving around 2. We started with a beer for my husband and a mocktail for me. The mocktail (blueberry lemonade) was simply not worth the $7 price tag. Mostly ice - filled to the literal rim of the glass. So full when I took one of my first sips, ice fell to the floor. There was just a splash of ginger beer; it could've used more but, alas, no room with all that ice! When I mentioned it to the server, she explained that's how they make them. She offered to bring me another, but it seemed clear she meant I'd be paying for it. No thank you. Next, my food. I tried the salmon burger (new to the menu, I'm told) which is actually a salmon croquette on a bun with some lettuce and vinaigrette. It's HUGE and not in a good way. The first few bites were okay, and I thought the heavily breaded effect was due to biting into the edge. As I continued eating, though, most bites felt like a mouthful of bread. I can only hope there was minced salmon in it, but the ratio was so heavy on breadcrumbs that I couldn't detect it. Not the slightest hint of pink on the inside either. I ate about 1/2, my hungry hub finished it. The flaws of the salmon burger didn't seem worth pointing out to the server after the response I got with the drink. Later, as we walked around downtown, I felt like I had a lead sandwich in my stomach. My husband had a better experience than I. His bison burger came out great. No complaints. Unfortunately for me, I think I'll just have to order very specific things when coming here now. Austin's has sentimental value for me - it's the first place we dined after moving here 27 years ago. Because of that, I keep giving them second chances after they fall short. I just wish they'd return to the days of "you can't go wrong", everything is awesome.
