Beware ordering online from Cavenders. I ordered a hat on 12/6/2025. On Sunday 12/7, I received an email indicating the order was being processed and I would be notified when the order was ready. On Monday, 12/8 at 4:28 pm I received an email indicating the order was ready for pickup and I had 2 days to pick up the order. I called customer service to see if I could get a few more days on Tuesday 12/9. No, call the store and speak to the manager. Call the store, manager can't help. So I rearranged my schedule to pick up the order. I arrived at 9:00 am on 12/10 and was told the order had already been cancelled. 8 + 2 = 10. Why was the order cancelled? I came home, looked at my email and received an email on 12/9 at 4:10 pm stating last chance to pick up the order. The store manager was nice and since the order had not been restocked, allowed me to purchase the item. He even made sure the price was the same. So kudos to the store personnel but online ordering is HORRIBLE. We will still purchase from Cavender's, but I will never purchase online again. Customer service is nice, but not helpful. Their policies for holding orders is not customer friendly. The order is ready at 4:28 pm on Monday, but I only have until Tuesday to pick up the order????? Worst customer service ever. Walked in for FR work jeans for my husband and had it not been for this location having his size that day we probably would have gone to another location. Thankfully we didn't need any help but it wouldn't have mattered anyway because no one came to check on us as they usually do. The check out line was about 5-6 customers waiting to be checked out in front of us. All the while it looks to be 2-3 managers or shift leaders leaning on racks talking in the back and 3 more female employees huddled up IN the cash register area doing the same. The cashier that handled our sale seemed flustered and irritated but was polite and cordial with us. This store is usually our go-to and definitely not the closest to us so it was irritating having to come in to wait in a long line under those circumstances. read more

But I can tell before the end of the shift you can sense and see that they are exhausted tired and ready to go home? I encounter one employee that was mean ass and seems like she doesn't wanna be bother because she has a million boots to display or organize as well? Everyone needs to know that if you are purchase anything that you need to try on at this location don't bother going the dressing rooms are shut down I was told until after the first of the new year maybe even longer, the excuse was because they don't have enough staff to keep them clean and theft as I watched four employees standing in front of the boot section talking the entire time I was in there. You can buy jeans walk out to the parking lot try them on if they don't fit then you can bring them right back and return them that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life they are more concerned about Theft than they are making sells, I will never spend another $ at this Cavendars location in Hurst. read more

Bright y daughter in to find some jeans. It took forever to get someone to come help us even with two pages. Several female employees were walking around with their soft drinks in hand like they were sleepy. When interacting with these girls they were less than effective with customer service. Praying the Buck eventually to a young man who did a great job of helping us. If he hasn't shown up we would have left. This is upsetting as I have been shopping here for over 30 years. Needed some work FR clothes and boots. Not a big shopper, so really wasn't looking forward to it.Pat met me at the door and helped me grab boots, pants, work shirts, and a jacket. Couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, and it only took about 30 mins to get everything I needed. Wow. I would agree with most of the other reviews on here. The customer service at the front of the store leaves much to be desired. This location is a little hard to get to on the access road but once you make it you will be happy with the selection. I've always received great service from the guys in the back. They help me find what I'm looking for, make great suggestions and haven't been very pushy. They check back often to see if I have any questions. During my visit today I had some good service from Paul. However once he hands you off to the girls in the front of the store the experience changes. It's like they are rushing to get you out of the store it doesn't matter you just dropped $300 there they want you gone. During this purchase I asked Rachel for my shoes to be placed in the box rather than a bag. I received a huff and was given a box for a pair of boots I would never have bought! I quickly asked if I could have an Ariat box? I received an "I guess" and she quickly threw them into another box and walked away. This was a destination visit for me to purchase a gift card was as a gift for my son but I took time to shop around. My 1st impression is that this store is stuffed gills with merchandise which makes it hard to shop. There is very little room to walk between he fixtures and find and look at merchandise. I did spend some time looking at their boots which drove me crazy. They merchandise them by size so all the styles are mixed together. Crazy, but they must do this because they only carry a few sizes in each boot. You see the boots on display, then below are the sizes they have in stock. Amazing that at Christmas they would have so little selection in size 7 which is the average is in the US for women. I spent 30 minutes looking around before I ever saw an employee wonder over into the boots section where there were 5 or 6 people looking around and trying on boots. You would think that this is one of the most expensive items in the store that they would invest in hiring more sales people. They need sales staff someone stationed in boots just to answer questions and help people look for sizes. I need up not buying any boots because of the limited selection in my size. I would rather buy online that shop in this store again...not to self. read more

The location is a little tricky to get to but I love Cavender's and the selection of boots and clothing options. I recently took a trip here to get a specific pair of jeans for my buddies wedding in April and everything was so well organized. Usually I hate shopping for clothes but since the organization was on point it only took me about a minute to find the exact pair of jeans I needed. My only ever problem with Cavender's is the fact that the salesmen work on commission so the second you walk into the store you got bombarded by someone desperate to get a cut off of whatever you buy. For example - this last time I walked into the store I had already found my pair of jeans and was ready to try them on/check out. A guy walked up and frantically introduced himself and I told him I was fine and already found what I needed but thanks for the help. His response "Well my name is Chuck, make sure you let the ladies up front know who helped you out today". The whole thing to me is just kinda weird. I'm a dude...I don't need help trying to find/pick out a pair of jeans. But other than that I always tend to get lost in these stores. I'll go in for something simple like jeans or a new pair of boots and it never fails that I walk out with something additional like a new shirt or belt. read more

I have been into this location several times for one thing or another, and normally I have had a good experiences. The last time I went in I was there to buy a pair of boots and asked for a price match once I got to the checkout. I have done this a couple times before and I am not asking for a huge change in price. I have amazon prime and could get these boots tomorrow but I prefer to go into my local stores to spend my money. When I asked for a price match I was told no, and they had the nerve to chuckle with their response. As if it's a joke. I work in retail too, I know things are. Do not laugh at your customers. I bought the boots at first because I was embarrassed but ended up returning them before even leaving the parking lot. I came here to exchange some belts that were given to me as a gift. The sales clerks were very helpful, told me where in the store to find similar items so I could get the right size. They have such a great selection of jewelry and clothes but the boots.....wow! I had fun going through row after row of leather boots. They also have a good selection of work gear like Carhartt jackets and fun gift items that anyone would enjoy receiving. This is a great store. It has by far, the best Anderson Bean selection in DFW. After having a lack-luster experience with the staff at the Plano location. I came to the Hurst location and was immediately met by Tiffany. Tiffany was knowledgeable, helpful and very professional. I briefly explained some of the issues I was having and Tiffany immediately went to work. She went above and beyond assisting me in getting closer to a final resolution. It wasn't only afterwards that I found out she was an asst. manager. If you plan on investing in some great looking boots I highly recommend this store and be sure to ask for Tiffany! read more

Last saturday my mother in-law was being given a surprise birthday party, and I had to work until 3:30 that afternoon , I'd told my wife I would go by cavader's when I got off work and buy a new shirt to wear to the party since the store was on my way home and she had enough to do arranging the last minute details of the surprise party. I did as I had planned, but I never expected that when I went into cavander after work that I was going to be completley ignored by every member of the sales staff as tried on several differant shirts trying to find something in a hurry, I work construction and I realise I probably looked pretty rough around the edges just coming from work and all, but my appearance shouldn't keep me from recieving the same service I have receaved on any other occaision when I've shopped at this store. I even had to call attention to the store employee talking to other employee's by the register that I was ready to check out. So for anyone who plans to visit this cavanders, be sure you scrub up before going and wear your sunday best if your in a hurry, or would simply like to recieve any assistance from the sales staff at this location. read more

Came to Cavender's to buy some new boots and the whole time I was looking not one person asked to help me instead they just glanced my way. And it wasn't even busy. I had to flag one girl down which she didn't help me much. but whenever I was taking pictures and trying them on comparing them to the ones that I picked out suddenly employees started hanging around where I was like I was trying to steal something. but as soon as I decided to make my choice I grabbed the box and walked toward the cashier which the girl that " helped " me ran quickly behind the cash register to claim her commission.
