I contacted Miller Plumbing Solutions through Angi to get a quote for installing an outdoor spigot on my new home. Before reaching out, I had researched typical costs and found most estimates in the $500-$800 range. When Miller Plumbing came out, they told me the job would be straightforward due to easy basement access and the location of the existing plumbing. They even mentioned they could drill through wood instead of concrete to help keep costs down. Despite describing it as an easy job, their quote came in at nearly $1,500. After I explained that was well beyond my budget, they removed some items and lowered the estimate to around $900, but said they couldn't go any lower. I was also told that while a handyman might be cheaper, I wouldn't find a licensed and insured plumber who could do the work for less. I declined the estimate and later mentioned it to a neighbor, who recommended Cory Claytor of Claytor Plumbing. Cory came by, looked at the project, and immediately told me the previous quote was outrageous. He completed the installation in just over an hour, drilled through the concrete rather than the wood to avoid damaging my siding, and charged just under $500. He is fully licensed and insured. Cory and his daughter, who assisted with the job, were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and fair. The quality of the work was excellent, and the price was exactly what I would expect for a straightforward installation. Based on my experience, I felt that Miller Plumbing Solutions was attempting to charge far more than was reasonable for this project. On the other hand, Claytor Plumbing delivered outstanding service, quality workmanship, and honest pricing. Timing made it look like Josh may have flipped something, but he came back within an hour and showed me where the previous estimate had done this. That showed me that Zeh would stand behind their work, even making sure that Josh did not cause the problem. I dealt with Jen in the office and she was always really helpful getting questions to Josh as the job was getting closer. Josh would get back within hours with an answer and Jen would relay. Josh is definitely technical and knows hvac systems. Brandon may have finalized the design but I was given 3 options, the best for this small place was the one chosen. I had 4 good companies come and give me estimates. I thought Zeh was competitive and they are local, which was high on priorities for this job. Great, professional local company. They completed the job over two days of steady, hard work. Brandon came by on day one and had one guy with him I think. Those guys did an amazing amount of work on day one. Brandon showed up on day 2 and told me another crew would be finishing up the next day. I wish I had the names of the guys on day 2, again, professional, hard working, detail oriented. The system is very quiet, well done install. My heating bills may have gone up slightly, my cooling bills are cut in half with the gold system. All 4 companies that came to do estimates were good. Zeh will not show up in matching coveralls with a logo, but they will show up ready to work and do a great job. They did it for me. It has been about 10 months since the system was installed. NO issues at all, until I decided to replace the 6 month filter. Newer, high efficiency systems, or at least my system requires a 4 inch, pleated filter replaced every 6 months. You are going to pay up to 80 bucks a filter, but twice a year if you are following guidelines. I like my hvac so I will be replacing it 2x a year. Final reason why you should use Zeh. I climbed under my house a few weeks ago to replace my filter myself. I ordered a new filter that Zeh gave me the name and number for my install so I ordered one to save a few bucks. I crawled up under the house but I removed the wrong panel to replace the filter. I thought Zeh had forgotten to install a filter. I did call back after watching a youtube video and said I think I am just stupid. They said we are still coming and will take a look. Gene came by and took my filter, quickly replaced it and showed me how it works. So, quality work, competitive price, local business, excellent people, excellent service. Get your estimates, but definitely try Zeh. I give Zeh 5 stars.

Whereas only one electrician was needed they sent two and charged me for two - guess I got to pay for the one guy's training. On the invoice they claimed to have worked three hours, but by my watch it was barely two - guess I also paid for their time to drive across town to pick up a replacement circuit breaker. To top it all off 10 days later it rained, and water got into the circuit panel again and burnt out the replacement, 10-day old circuit breaker. When I called them to request that they fix the situation I was informed, "This is not a warranty issue".
