I am not sure if I need to come home and wait or what so communication is important. By 1 I wasn't sure if anyone was coming, if I should call someone else, or should I head home? So I called them. She said someone would be by around 5 and that ended up being accurate. Jim said I needed a pump. He'd call around for parts in the morning and let me know how much it would be and when he could do it. He didn't call. I called the office at 9:30. She had no clue. A little while later, Jim shows up. He still hasn't given me a price. He did the work quickly and the bill was $1800. I'm looking at another review from 3 years ago where they were charged $1500. :/ Inflation? Anyway, the communication was not great. I didn't have the opportunity to ask anyone else about the price, so I'm not sure if that was great, but my septic pump was fixed in two days.

THEN, on top of that, they told me to "call them back in the morning to reschedule." Are you serious? Not happening. I fired them and contacted another company. Do NOT use this company. Their communication is pathetic and I cannot understand how they're even in business.

I hired Cubbage Solutions after my septic alarm light came on, expecting professional service and a…read moreguarantee on their work. What I received instead was poor workmanship, incorrect guidance, and extremely unprofessional behavior. Cubbage Solutions told me my pump needed immediate replacement and instructed me to have the tanks emptied afterward. I followed every step exactly as they recommended. During the installation, I questioned why the new pump was being placed directly on the ground when the previous pump had been elevated. I was told this was "to prevent movement," but I later learned pumps are typically installed about a foot off the bottom to avoid clogging. Because Cubbage Solutions installed the pump so low, it actually made the underlying issue worse by allowing sludge to clog the lines leading to the drain field. Three days later, a separate company emptied the tanks as instructed. Less than a month after the installation, the alarm light came back on. When I called, the owner immediately blamed me, claiming the tanks were full during installation and telling me to remove the pump myself to clean the screen. He also told me I "wouldn't like it" if he had to come out, then hung up on me. When I called back, he said he would not guarantee his work and hung up again. He also failed to complete my required annual AOSS inspection. I eventually hired Powell Plumbing for a second opinion. They confirmed the issue was not the pump at all--there was an underlying problem that Cubbage Solutions completely missed, and their improper installation only made things worse. Cubbage Solutions is unreliable, unprofessional, and does not stand behind its work. I strongly recommend choosing another company.

By 2:30 PM, we still hadn't heard anything, so I called the office and was told the plumber would be here. 4:00 PM came and went with no arrival, so I called again. I was told the plumber must be tied up and that she would check the status. At that point, I told her not to bother. We completely understand that unexpected issues can delay a plumber -- that's not the problem. The issue is the lack of basic courtesy. A simple phone call to reschedule would have been appreciated. Instead, I sat at home for four hours waiting on a no‑show. It was frustrating, inconvenient, and highly unprofessional. Based on this experience, I would not recommend calling them.

But a great plumber is only good if you can get a response from them. I've been dealing with him for several years now. Consistently I've had to message repeatedly, call repeatedly. On occasion - as the first time I contacted him probably in 2023 - he answers the phone himself, and provides info on what he thinks the problem is. And he does phenomenal work. After a few years of being a good customer, patient, paying on time, never objecting to pricing, I **STILL** cannot get a response from him. One issue is that he's a one man show. It's him, or no one. His wife is lovely and accompanies him at times. Very knowledgeable herself. About 4 weeks ago I initiated contact and he responded immediately via text. Great, I thought. Then nothing. After a few more messages checking in, he said there was a family medical situation. I gave him space, and here we are two weeks and yet another text message to him later, and nothing. Nada. And still a leaking well tank. C'mon. Do better. We are done, hope you sort yourself out with other customers - I've seen several other people have had the same experience.
