I reached out to Randal for a replacement quote with a picture, and at 10pm at night, he promptly provided me a detailed description of the piping, and explained that he had in fact been the one to conduct the work on this piping years in the past (I assume he remembered the job simply from the picture??). The supply line is not a concern, and the fitting in question was actually a runoff drain line that was not under pressure. Randal, then explained that as the new owner, the 10 year parts and labor warranty transfers to me. Thanks for the honest and detailed response at no charge!

But a great plumber is only good if you can get a response from them. I've been dealing with him for several years now. Consistently I've had to message repeatedly, call repeatedly. On occasion - as the first time I contacted him probably in 2023 - he answers the phone himself, and provides info on what he thinks the problem is. And he does phenomenal work. After a few years of being a good customer, patient, paying on time, never objecting to pricing, I **STILL** cannot get a response from him. One issue is that he's a one man show. It's him, or no one. His wife is lovely and accompanies him at times. Very knowledgeable herself. About 4 weeks ago I initiated contact and he responded immediately via text. Great, I thought. Then nothing. After a few more messages checking in, he said there was a family medical situation. I gave him space, and here we are two weeks and yet another text message to him later, and nothing. Nada. And still a leaking well tank. C'mon. Do better. We are done, hope you sort yourself out with other customers - I've seen several other people have had the same experience.

My husband, AJ, first called on 1/16 when our tank was below 30% and also notified you that the monitoring system was not working. He called again on 1/20 and was told we were scheduled for delivery on Thursday the 22nd since you would be in our area. No delivery occurred. I then called on 1/23 to report that we were between 20-25% with snow and ice approaching, yet we still did not receive fuel by 1/29. On Monday 2/2 after being given the runaround/ told someone would call me back @ 8:20 & 12:40 when I attempted to get an answer. Then I called back after 4p as our tank had dropped to 10% or less. I spoke with Claudia, who stated we were scheduled for delivery on 2/5. After 4:00 PM today (2/5), I called again to confirm since no truck had arrived and was told drivers would be working until 8-9 PM and that we would receive fuel tonight. We are now (8:45p) below 5% (essentially empty). AJ has contacted your emergency line and was told someone should arrive within two hours. Thankfully driver showed up at 10p to fill tank and how ironic we were told he was around our area all day and we weren't on his ticket. Adding to our frustration, Tiger Fuel has had no problem drafting our account monthly, yet we cannot get the basic service we are paying for. This situation is unacceptable and has placed our household at risk during winter conditions. We relied on repeated assurances from your company that delivery was scheduled and coming. Please provide: 1. Why the runaround btwn different offices when customers call. 2. An explanation for the repeated missed deliveries and lack of communication. 3. Information on how this failure will be addressed moving forward to prevent recurrence. Sincerely, Mary & AJ Florian

Laco - This is the racist owner

I needed a plumber. "Thumbtack", "Angies List": Why not look at Yelp? So I type, "Yelp/Charlottesville/Plumber". Result = "Best Plumbers in Charlottesville"! Laco is the first entry on that Yelp list. Which made me suspicious. Five Star Rating after thirteen reviews? That's too good to be true. But I plow into the reviews. They don't seem like they were posted by Laco employees pretending to be plumbing consumers with above averages experiences. They read as deft and genuine from an array of people. I added the contact info. of Laco and two other plumbers into my phone and resolve to make some calls. Laco was the first and only plumber to return my call (although I continue to receive messages from local plumbers via Tumbtack two weeks later). Tony, who if I've gleamed this correctly is an owner of the business and one of two guys you will talk to over the phone, the guy who will come out to the site and look things over for the benefit of you both and then give you an idea of how much this project will cost and how much of your life will be inconvenienced therein. He's a bit of a character, stout looking, a little harried as any good contractor would be having many irons in the fire and many things and people to keep track of. Polite and clear and let me emphasize that, articulate in what you need and what will happen. I did not once with Tony or any of his men get the impression that they wanted to do any more work than absolutely necessary. They acted as if they wanted to get in and out ASAP, do the job right and move on, pretty much the perfect scenario if you are in need of a plumber and money/finances are of some concern. Allow me to throw this one aside in real quick before I forget. The job came in under estimate and they did everything that Tony had said they'd end up doing if they didn't run into any other issues that needs addressing. The scene: My parents 50-60 year old brick rancher near downtown. Two 80+yrolds and their middle aged kid. One Middle aged plumber (Bobby) and the "Kid" who was the other man working the job and Tony. The three plumbers show up, Tony gives the guys a quick run-down of the issues and what he expects to be done, salutes us all and rides off to address some other issue somewhere else. For three to four hours these two men wind their way in and out of the house, through each entry, from the basement worksite to the attic to secure a drain vent and keeping it from sliding down through the home and killing someone below (heavy large copper pipes...). They brought a radio to listen to Christmas music, quietly while working. Upstairs the old folks milled about watching television, having lunch. It was a pleasant late morning that stretched until just afternoon. There was the pulling of toilets (2) there were reciprocating saws sawing, there was grunting and ladders and the smell of adhesives. In the end, they walked me through their work, cleaned up after themselves and left. Later in the afternoon, I got and invoice via e-mail then called and paid over the phone. Everything went swimmingly and didn't cost as much as I expected, didn't take as long as I thought and it didn't stress my family out. Really man, that ****ing awesome. Five stars.
