Avoid at all costs. They leased me a lemon! I started my Kia optima lease in April of 2022, because I felt unsafe in my first lease. Tyler put me in this car as he said I would feel safer on the highway than in my micra. (Every time my new car has broken down it has been on the highway!) Since then my car has broken down multiple times due to an engine that keeps misfiring. I keep up to date with my oil changes and maintenance. I even brought my car back in May of 2023 because I was nervous of it. Tyler said he test drove it and his mechanics checked it over and it was fine. Beginning of August it misfired again!! I can't afford to keep fixing this car it has cost me so much money, I put my insurance on park recently, I just put it back on and the funders turned my car back on. My car still won't start. They will do nothing to help you. I have read tons of other reviews now about being sold faulty cars. I would return it but then they will sue me for it. They won't fix the issues with the car either or take it back and put me in a safer car. I am feeling absolutely defeated. read more

If I could give them -100 I would. Gave my son a used Jeep($20,000) which was stolen and AMA paid them out over $25,000, now the ass.......are ruing his credit saying that my son still owes them over $20,000. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!! read more

This place mearly merits a 1 star review in my opinion. They'll do anything to fast track the initial sale . Afterwards they treat you like dirt. We purchased a 2013 sante fee from them and withing 17 days it started to have issues on the highway the engine light would kick on and the vehicle would go into lymph mode . Called the sales Rep Ian which he was aware which day it was being dropped off . We took it in and he gave us their so called "Loaner Vehicle in which hindsight we should have declined the vehicle barely made it off the lot and the engine light kicked on .and even better the tank was completely empty..* when we followed up regarding our sante fee Ian had stated that the shop foreman was test driving it .and that they didn't want to put diagnostics on it as they were trying to as I quote "SAVE MONEY . Then proceeded to tell my partner the garage is prioritizing on their new clients and that our vehicle wasn't a priority * I was mind blown . And that moment we felt the dealership was incompetent and based on how they dealt with the situation we picked up the vehicle after day 2 of no movement and took it to a liscensed garage. Fast forward. The garage was able to find the issue .in which ended up costing us over 1200.00 While the vehicle was completely unsafe to drive we took the hit and told them to proceed . I then contacted the dealership and advised them that il be sending in the invoices. We'll that's were fire hit. Harry who is (lease specialist ).not even a manager to my knowledge advised us that they will not cover the bill bc we refused the leave the vehicle with them .( not to mention he stated they are not liscenced mechanics they are sales reps ( let's go back here . IN A PREVIOUS EMAIL WE HAVE IAN HAD STATED the shop foreman was test driving it to try and source the issue ?? So they basically lied to us . Especially after stating they are not liscenced mechanics only sales reps . Now this makes sense bc the garage had also found a bunch of previous codes erased " In which is the actual cause of the vehicle going into Lymph mode . Mr Harry then started proceeding to I will repeat my self again . And re-literate as if I was a child and have no right to speak my mind . End result they refused to plug a diagnostic on my vehicle but told me because I went somewhere else they won't pay the bill .. interestesting because you guys wanted to save money on your diagnostics. So you thought you would guess the issue when your not a liscenced mechanic? . Bc I took matters in my own hands based on their incompetence they refuse to help? Says alot about what kind of business you guys truly are . Stear very clear of this place . If you end up searching them on Google this is actually a common issue reported by 70% of their clients . Not to.mention they stopped responding to my emails advising that their resolution is not satisfactory. I guess il be moving forward to the next steps. read more

I highly recommend getting a vehicle through Tyler Doyle at Cavalcade Auto in Calgary. I recently leased my third vehicle from Cavalcade. All vehicles have been in excellent mechanical condition and came with great warranty. Very happy with all vehicles I got through Cavalcade. Also, I'm extremely impressed with salesman Tyler Doyle. In all of my many dealings with him he has been professional, positive, and polite. It's always a genuine pleasure to deal with Tyler Doyle and Cavalcade Auto has leased me three very reliable vehicles. If I could give Tyler Doyle a 10 star rating I would. read more

I have had 3 vehicles over the years leased through Cavalcade auto. Very poor business. My last vehicle was taken away due to an insurance misunderstanding. We planned on going to get our vehicle back and was told it was sent to auction!! Without any call from them to give an opportunity to buyout our vehicle and have it back. Years of payments on our vehicle wasted as they thought it was fit to send it to auction. The employee will dealt with on the phone was very rude and heartless. I will never ever send anyone to these people for a vehicle. Very poorly run business and very disorganized. Plus they never answer their phone. Always voice-mail and after leaving a message, in which they choose to ignore!! Woodridge should get rid of them from their building!! read more

I'm re-writing this review again because the first might have had too much info in it, but the second contained too little and might have given a few misguided souls too gentle a version of the facts when it comes to this company (and I use that term loosely). Cavalcade is one of those companies forever advertising that "everybody's approved" and after having delt with them many years ago I can see why. They know this will not bring in those who are easily going to be able to skate through their minefield of fine print and walk out satisfied. Instead, they count on (and seem to be rewarded with) people who, like me all those years ago, are desperate, uneducated on the leasing system or both. They then use this fact to their advantage by glossing over important parts of the contract and lock their "clients" into deals that will financially cripple them the second there's a hickup. For example, what you probably wouldn't even know after sitting and going over the contract with their salesguy (I certainly didn't) is that should you fail to make a payment or two and they repossess the vehicle for resale, they somehow found a way to make it so that they can expect you to pay off the rest of the vehicle (that they are already selling to someone else) with absolutely zero to show for it. That's right, for all you know you're leasing a vehicle that somebody else is still making payments for after having it ripped away from them - and if you wind up in a hard position the same thing will happen to you. For all you know the very car they're trying so hard to get you into could have 3 or 4 different people paying in full for it. I could go on for days about other things this company pulled that, had I not been a very young and impressionable version of myself that didn't know any better, would have sent me running, but I imagine you now have a picture of the kind of people I'm talking about. I've given a lot of bad reviews in my time on this site, but this company is the lowest of the low. Even if I hadn't been a victim, this sort of capitalization on those down on their luck would sicken and disgust me. Worse still is that, even years after the fact, one of their reps continues to comment on my reviews of their establishment playing the victim and essentially calling me a liar, meanwhile trying to convince me that contacting them is somehow going to resolve it. (Which, in case you haven't been following along, is obviously not on my 'to do' list). The only reason these people get 1 star is because I can't give empty (or negative) ratings, so let the real rating be this: These people don't deserve a business license, let alone your money. Run away as fast as you can. read more

I also sadly have to give them one star. If you are considering Cavalcade then you likely have poor credit and no other option but read my story and decide carefully. I give them credit where it is due. They will approve you when others will not. They financed a car for me in 2011 just two months after a repo but if I could do it again I would not deal with this company. First they will approve you and when the deal is done and you are committed it is then you find out the vehicle comes with a starter connected GPS unit that allows them to shut down your vehicle. If you want to (or have to) move out of alberta then screw you, they take back the vehicle. Then when you need to delay a payment, or make any changes to payments is when it gets fun. Accounting has a pit pull and its name is ALICE BANNISTER. It is the most unfriendly, and rudest person you will ever deal with. If you request to delay a payment ALICE BANNISTER acknowledges but then will not process your request and the preauth goes through as scheduled. If you decide to exercise your right to cancel preauthorized payments, ALICE BANNISTER threatens you, regardless if you have made every payment on time and continue to do so. This month, ALICE BANNISTER, deposited a cheque I mailed in, and also processed an attempt to withdraw a preauthorized payment. The result was a bounced cheque that she had the balls to blame me for. Someone named Gregg, who I presume to be her boss waived the nsf fees on their end however he does not acknowledge the complaints about ALICE BANNISTERS conduct toward customers. ALICE BANNISTER displays hostility toward the people she deals with, is unwilling to conduct conversations is a hospitable manner, and the dealership is aware and chooses to allow this to continue. I urge you to go elsewhere if you need a vehicle, if you value respect and customer service. read more

If I could give it a zero I would. I would say to anyone who is in need of a car to avoid them as if they have Ebola. I got a dodge nitro from them three months ago and of course there "GPS" unit was not installed properly which caused an engine fire. I have been with any car since but was told they will take care of it. What a bunch of horse crap! They decided to repo the SUV from Chrysler screwing me and the insurance company over. I'm not impressed at all and now I have to sue cavalcade for damages and compensation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.NEVER BUY FROM THESES PEOPLE!!!! read more

Based on the other review I would have to agree with Dustin, this company should be avoided at all costs!! Although I have only had dealings with them for a short time I came to find out just after signing the contract that there were additional fees that were not mentioned to me by Ted. Some which include a $50 per month administration fee and a $600 fee for a gps system that they install for security measures and then charge back to the customer without telling them. Your security measure YOU pay for it not me. I have spoken to Ted once since discovering this information and he informed me that he didn't know I was not made aware of the added fees. He knows I am no longer interested in their services and is now avoiding my calls and not returning any of them either. He mentioned to me that whatever the dealership decided to do he would be fine with it but since they no longer own the vehicle they can't make the decision to take it back. These people are clearly not trust worthy and I would not recommend them to anyone. Personally I think that companies that operate like this should be banned from being able to get a licence. STAY AWAY FROM CAVALCADE AUTO ACCEPTANCE CO AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! read more

I also would give them a negative star, but the software does not allow it. I do not understand how the government allow companies like Cavalcade to work, they know they are taking advantage of people and they just do not care. I had a bad experience as a new comer to Canada and my credit was not the best, so I ended up in Cavalcade, since I needed a truck for my business. I was very inexperience and ended up leasing a truck from them, to start with the truck was 8 years old, I ended up with payments of almost 500 dollars for a truck that worth 10,000 according to the book in a 4 years term. But according to them the truck worth 20,000 =S, and at the end of the term the truck value will be 2,000, odd right? It looked nice on the outside, but after the few first months it started giving me problems, when I had to do the fist mayor repair (over $2,000) I went back, since they told me it had warranty. But it turns out my English is really bad, because they NEVER told me it had warranty (according to the sells guy). This was my mistake, since i should have know that everything must be in writing. But why do they even allow you to lease cars that are not in a good condition? I took the truck to a very good and reliable mechanic and he told me the truck was garbage, and its been garbage since a long time, even before I got it. We have had to deal with a lot of stress, and fixes that will only be solve by replacing the motor. Seriously, paying $7,000 dollars to replace the motor of a car that worths almost the same? We have pay so much in repairs that is just crazy. It is impossible for me to think they inspected the vehicle before leasing it to me and they did not realized all the problems it had in the motor. Nobody shall we allowed to lease a used vehicle with no warranties. And if they do they should explain you what are you getting into. And not tell you yes to everything just to make a sell. I will go back to Cavalcade and see how else can we fix this, but I have a bad feeling about me paying the car somebody else is paying and somebody else will start paying. This is just wrong. read more

I would like to start out by saying, AVOID them at all cost. I had used them for a lease on a vehicle. This is my second lease with them, I first had a small car then traded it in for a bigger one. What the salesmen wont tell you is the truth behind there leases. #1 you cannot get out of it without paying for all the interest they charge. For example you buy a 10,000 vehicle they will charge you 18000 over 4 years, if you decide to trade the vehicle in or terminate the lease you owe 18000. You will pay for interest on something that hasn't even happened yet. Your not driving the vehicle anymore but they expect you to pay the interest as if you were still paying it all out. That is fraudulent and should be illegal but somehow these guys manage to stay in business. The truth is that they hide all this fine print and legal crap and promise your credit will rise and that you will be another happy customer being bent over and taken for thousands of dollars. They are a second chance lender I understand that, however they are very misleading in the fact that you get screwed. I am very disappointed in them and even tried working with them to hash out a deal on the buyout. They wanted $22,000 and change which I get since I only have made 5 payments so far but why am I paying you that much for a vehicle that will only get $10000 on trade in value. Why do I pay you for interest that hasn't even happened yet? Its simple I wanted to give them a large sum of money for the buyout, which is freeing up capital with no risk and they refused to budge on the price saying I signed a legal document that states I willingly accept to pay interest that doesn't exist and is somewhere in the future. They don't say that your actually going to have to pay the total amount, they say there are no fees involved to cancel early. Well yes there aren't because you charge for the whole thing as if I was going to be making my payments over the whole term. I strongly suggest looking anywhere you can before coming here, if your credit is that bad take transit. It is not worth the loss and stress to get involved with a company that does not care about how much money and damage they cause. I am well aware that this review will be read by Cavalcade, and I will have no problem removing it or changing it if you guys will gladly learn to work with your clients who are wanting to give you money to buy the vehicle outright. I am a reasonable business minded person and understand we all need to make money, however giving you a good chunk of money plus what I have paid you is something you should be willing to discuss . Your company has made a lot of money of me with ZERO RISK. I have never missed a payment in over a year now. To conclude, avoid second chance lenders like this one, they are not here to help you, they are there to make money off of your misfortunate or previous mistakes in life. read more

These guys are the lowest of the low. I listened on the other end of the phone one day while their salesman yelled, threatened and berated my family member who was unfortunate enough to do business with them. He was trying to change payment dates mid-term for someone on a fixed income even though the dates were written in the contract but somehow that didn't matter to them. I confronted the salesman with what I knew (I am involved in the insurance market) and he had no response other to call me un-professional for calling him out. After threatening to call the leasing company on the contract to voice my complaint they backed off because they didn't have a legal leg to stand on. These people prey on people and then treat their customers like crap. The fine print in their contracts is the worst kind of predation. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. I CAN'T BELIVE WOODRIDGE FORD ALLOWS THIS SCUMMY STYLE OF BUSINESS IN THEIR BUILDING. read more

I'd give this company no stars but apparently you need to give them something...This place is seriously a JOKE!!! I don't even get how this company can even continue to keep going! Make sure you read all the fine print. I left my lease 2 years early to buy a car and in my buyout they added in the remaining 2 years of interest and taxes as well as the final buyout cost. Then proceeded to take my car payment for the lease after I already traded the car and have been trying for a MONTH to get through to them leaving messages for everyone in accounting as well as management and NO ONE RETURNS CALLS. What's the point of even having a manager if they can't even do their own job. I just want my money back so I will never EVER have to deal with this company again... I will do everything I can to keep anyone I come in contact with away from this company. read more

3rd car with Cavalade. Awesome selection and very good rate given my credit. I looked at other places and the rates they wanted to charge me were crazy. Everyone there was very friendly and knowledgable and I have recommended them to friends and family read more

Terrible , very unprofessional, they stock you, they call and come to your work place. Stay away for your on sake.

Over 7 years I leased to buy 2 vehicles, which restored my devastating credit loss due to bankruptcy after the death of my wife with a long term illness. The good news is today I purchased a brand new car based on these steady payments to Cavalcade, private financiers who report to the credit bureau. The first vehicle was excellent, low km good shape. used it in my business until it miled out 3 years later and traded it in on one with lower km. The second vehicle was an example of their predatory lending practices. They sold me junk that had a safety report, for example, which said the wipers were good, and the next day they literally disintegrated. It cost me 4000.00 in the first month to keep my driving business on the road. The safety inspection sign my a licensed mechanic out of Big 4 Motors (don't ever go there) said I had some 80,000 km on the vehicle. Those were miles, it was an American car. Signed legal document. I still have it. So they repossess something that was abused, clean it up and sell it to you, and since you can't afford the repairs, they repossess it again, rinse and repeat. They have a lease to own agreement which allows this and a gps unit in the car which if you miss a payment, because you need money for repairs, they turn the car off remotely and send a tow truck. Rinse and repeat on the next victim. I worked around this because I have repair resources most people in poverty who need a car to get to work don't have. Avoid these people and go to Alberta Treasury Branch, same lending conditions to qualify, no abuse. I wish I had. Everything the previous posters said about poor customer service and victim blaming when your car explodes, is all true from my experience. read more

I too would give this review 0. We had to go to Cavalcade for our vehicle and I am so happy we will NEVER have to use them again!! We used them for 2 vehicles the first time wasn't to bad until we found out what they were doing. When we went for our second vehicle that's when we learnt how rude, dishonest and frustrating this company is. My husband like lots of others pooched his credit at a young age so we had to rebuild his credit. Cavalcade was happy to give us a leased car. We made all of our payments on time even bought the car out ahead of the term. We then needed to get another car so once again we dealt with Cavalcade what a mistake!!! The day we bought out the first car we purchased our second car we put out over 5 grand that day!!! The next day I spoke with Eric in finance department and explained that we were under the impression our payments would start the following month not 2 days after purchase, he agreed and said " no problem that's no big deal we wil just add that payment to the end of the term which just means instead of 72 months it will be 73" never once did he say that by doing this we would occur a 30 day late payment on our credit!!!! If we had known this we would have NOT done this! Thanks Eric!!!! As time went on we made our payments on time then half way through our term we needed to get new dressers we went to get in house financing and we were turned down!! This is when we learnt about the 30 day late and learnt this as well bit only had cavalcade screwed us by the 30 day late they also didn't report any positive payments we had made for either vehicle!!! When My husband called Equifax about this error and to question why his payments to cavalcade were not showing they informed him that he wasn't the only client cavalcade was doing this too. We then contacted cavalcade with our concern and asked them to submit the information to the credit agency we were speaking to Alice in financing and she was so rude like we were below her!! Right then is when we decided to NEVER use them again. They were refusing to show our payments so we couldn't build better credit and we would be stuck having to deal with them WRONG!!! We found other ways to rebuild and now we have bought a brand new car with Dodge!! And we love it!!!! But once again we are fighting with cavalcade we bought our car out from them early and now we are fighting to get the ownership papers and they are in no hurry to get them to us so the insurance has run out and we cannot re insure until we have the papers. If one word would help you to decide to use this company or not I would say RUNAWAY!!!! Now I know someone from cavalcade will try to come on here and do damage control but I hope people can see this company are dishonest , rude and people will go else where read more
