This side of hummus is $4.24. Yeah, so, no thanks. I won't be buying from here again. I didn't have words for when I added a side of hummus and then they sent this. 3 tablespoons? Seriously?

I always love the food at CAVA, but during our recent visit, my husband's bowl came out with very small portions. He mentioned they barely put any toppings on it, so I decided to go up to the counter and ask if we could get a little more of what he wanted. The young woman working the counter was incredibly sweet and immediately started helping me out by adding more toppings. However, an older woman working there stepped in and was very rude, saying "it's too late" to add anything. I actually apologized to the younger employee for the way that lady spoke to us, and she was so sweet about it--she smiled, told me not to worry, and joked around to ease the tension. I even tried to give her a tip because of how kind and helpful she was, but she honestly told me, "No, it's okay, we get paid well here!" We will definitely come back because the food is delicious and employees like that young woman make the experience great, but management might want to address the attitude of the older staff member. Customer service makes a big difference!

Cava is a Mediterranean bowl and pita restaurant. Being vegan and gluten free, there was less for me than I would've expected. Unfortunately, the falafels weren't gluten free and the only other option was mixed vegetables. I really liked the black lentils. What impressed me most here were the staff. My server used new gloves and was extremely careful about cross contamination, he used opened a new hummus for me. Highly recommended if you have dietary restrictions!

It's very rare I review chain restaurants, mainly because I don't usually like them. However this place surprised me, I can see why it's growing so fast. It's like a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, but keep in mind I'm not a fan of Chipotle but the concept is similar. They have bowls and pitas, with lots of fresh ingredients, you pick what you want & off you go. I really like it because it's fast, it's somewhat healthy, relatively cost effective and it's really tasty! I get the stewed lamb meat with the lamb meatballs- which come at an extra charge- but worth it. One bowl with extra meat and all the ingredients fills me up and it's a fast, tasty lunch. Ambiance is similar to a Chipotle and you pay at the front desk after you've chosen your options. They also have a great drink selection, with cucumber mint and others. I also like they don't ask for a tip when you pay like most places, even though you're not getting served. Anyway, I will be back from time to time. Recommended & happy eating!

It's hit or miss. The food is usually pretty good but the service is not the best. Slow and it often seems like the employees are new and don't know what they're doing. And the app often shows that they are out of stock on food so you can't order ahead for pick up-very, very frustrating; making it undesirable to order for a quick pick-up dinner. Tonight, I wanted to order ahead so I could run in and grab it quickly, but the app said they were out of all of their pitas and all of their sandwiches (that's their whole menu)... I have frequented Cava for several years, as they originated in the Washington DC area, where I'm from. When Cava came to Colorado, I was so excited! I love Cava! However, today's visit has me rethinking Colorado's Cava connection. The girl serving me was totally apathetic and literally "threw" the items into the bowl (she clearly hates her job...so go find another, everyone is hiring). The roasted vegetables were burnt to a crisp. She gave me the 3 remaining shreds of romaine that were left in the container (instead of refilling the romaine, when it's only 7 o'clock, not closing anytime soon). The lamb for my husbands bowl left a lot to be desired. The whole line was messy and disgusting. And the food looked unappetizing. It's just disappointing. There's certainly a preconceived notion of what to expect, and this cava is pathetic compared to the ones back east. As far as I know, Cava is not a franchise, so it has to be poor management. Anyway, the experience was less than thrilling and makes me rethink visiting Cava again. read more

For a to go order, they were 25 minutes late from when it was supposed to be picked up. I do DoorDash so punctuality is very important but it seemed as though cava feels otherwise. The order consisted of two bowls. No reason to be that late and a drink that they happened to not give me. Can't say it's always like this but can't say it never is. read more

Came here looking for a healthy alternative for an on-the-go lunch. Ordered a grain and greens bowl. The food was definitely good and much more wholesome than anything you'd typically find for a quick meal. Plenty of grains and greens. Sadly, they skimp out on virtually everything else. You get to choose 3 dips and some additional toppings on your bowl. For instance, Hummus. BUT they only give you a teaspoon-ish measured sized serving of each dip and topping. A teaspoon of hummus for an entire bowl? Come on. Add additional toppings and it'll cost you $.75 each. A truly hardy meal here adds up quite quickly. read more

Gyros 9/10 The gyro plate was more of a platter loaded with beef and lamb. The spices on the meat were so delicious and cooked to perfection. Every bite was balanced with the coolness from the hummus and lightness of the rice. We were treated to a sample of the Turkish coffee. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised how light and aromatic it was. Not bitter or burnt.

I try to tell as many people as I can about CAVA. Not only is their food so good, their service is as warm as the Mediterranean sea that encompasses the countries that influences their food. My best friend and I went there earlier today and got our usual bowls, the Spicy Lamb Avocado & Harissa Chicken Avocado. Call it a white girl cliche because we got avocado dishes while in yoga pants, but it's more flavorful and filling than the Avocado toast people who look like us are spending $15 for at brunch and walking away still hungry. We sat there chatting for a long time and a nice man walked up and asked how everything was and even cleared our empty bowls and tray. Better service than places I'm expected to tip. He said he was the GM and wanted to be sure we were doing well. He even offered to get us a refill so we didn't have to get up and interrupt our conversation. He even gave me a falafel to try before I made my decision! That sealed it for me. Marcus walked me through every sauce, topping, and dip despite a line behind me that stretched to the door! He even let me taste the dressing (I think the young man at the register called it "Shrek sauce." Ha!) before I put it on the bowl. It was sooo tasty! I don't get service like this almost anywhere. They serve food with Mediterranean flavors made in front of you (they have an open kitchen). Yes, there are some Westernized touches. It's called gearing something towards your target audience, which is a lot of people judging by how busy this place can get during typical lunch and dinner time slots. They've got pitas, bowls, proteins, vegan options, and more. Staff have always been friendly to me and other customers around me regardless of what time of day I come in to eat. By the way, get the Lamb Meatballs. They are tender and juicy and have a nice hint of spice from their harissa. I don't usually write reviews for places that are great. I make my opinion known by frequenting them and spending my money with them. I visit this location a couple of times a week because it's conveniently located near my gym and the Sprouts I like to shop at. I came in a few days ago and saw two managers scrubbing down the chairs and cleaning the tables. I mentioned it was refreshing to see someone taking pride in upkeep. The manager, whom I believe was in charge, told me that when I came back, the floors would look better as well. He wasn't kidding. The care put into the aesthetics makes me wonder how much more attention to detail goes into the delicious food they serve. read more

I'm trying to be more health-conscious, so I joined Planet Fitness at the Bradburn Center. Lo and behold, there was a nearby place that someone at the gym had recommended for good food. This place has an abundance of healthy options, including vegetarian choices and various ways to incorporate servings of greens, veggies, protein, and even a little treat for your sweet tooth (I'm eating better, but life is about balance - I'm going to enjoy a 150-calorie Blondie). The staff is kind and they were all vibing with each other and the customers in line while smiling and answering questions. That's not easy to find in a casual, quick-service restaurant. I'd never heard of this place until I saw it across the parking lot from Whole Foods. Delicious and flavorful food with heart. Tons of healthy options (Doc & my wife say I have to watch what I eat more cautiously). This place was busy for the day before Easter, but it was worth the wait. The manager was kind enough to walk my wife and myself through all of the options and even helped her choose items that were dairy-free due to her allergy despite a line to the door. They even had a chart with all of the allergens for us to read. The staff didn't need it since they all knew what was in all of the food because they make almost all of it in-house. read more

I'm a big dude (6'10", almost 280 lbs.) and an avid goer of Planet Fitness next door to this place. So, I need my protein fix and a good amount of food to fill me up. They let me double my protein for only a few bucks more, and those spicy lamb meatballs with that well-seasoned grilled chicken in a bowl on top of those super greens (some crazy concoction with kale, brussel sprouts, cabbage, and brocolli) and tons of veggie toppings gets it done for me. Thanks to Finn for not judging, as he had to fight to put the lid on top of my bowl, which weighed a few pounds. It was a carb day, so I added a whole, warm pita for less than $20. read more

Regardless if I come in between rushes or when there is a long line, I always leave with great food. I don't understand people who complain about lines. Good places to eat have a long waits because a lot of people want to eat quality food. If there isn't a large amount of people making purchases, restaurants close due to lack of support, income, etc. It's basic economics, although many people today don't understand that subject (**cough** "Tariffs!!" **cough**). Before wrapping up my summer break in Denver and heading back to college in Syracuse, I had to get one more CAVA fix since there aren't any in upper state New York (*wink wink* *hint hint*). The manager behind the counter was so kind and welcoming. I had to get my favorite bowl, the Greek Salad, extra olives, add tomato cucumber, avocado, and, of course, a side of pita chips with tzatziki for dipping. I saw this place on CNBC and decided to see what the hype is all about. They did not disappoint. Comparing it to Chipotle is a bit reductive, but the build-it-as-you-go-down-the-line food model will always be compared to them. This place has LOADS more flavor, toppings options, drinks, and dining possibilities than that other place. Travis was so kind and helped me out with a great energy and some nice recommendations. After a hard day of training, this is a great place to satiate hunger. There are so many topping choices and multiple well-made proteins to choose from, so things never get dull. The staff are always helpful and smiling regardless of how long the lines may be. They answered questions, and I even saw them take extra care of the lady in front of me, who had celiac disease, by changing gloves and having only one employee handle everything for her. I'm so glad CAVA has finally expanded to Colorado. It's been called the Chipotle of fast, casual Mediterranean but for locals it's more like the Illegal Pete's. It's a hip eatery, and everything is delicious, healthy, and fresh. My personal recommendation is the Harissa Honey Chicken with whatever toppings and base you like. My son has celiacs and it's a great spot for GF meals as well. Most items are gluten free and the manager, Joey, was really helpful helping my young son with his options. read more

I ordered pickup via the CAVA app for lunch. Despite the fact they were pretty busy with a line, delivery drivers, and lazy people like myself, they had my order ready pretty close to the time it said in the app. Nice job by the staff of being friendly and attentive despite how many people there were. I just found this place recently, thanks to a friend's recommendation. It's great bang for the buck. Unlimited toppings (there are over a dozen choices), a few bucks more for double protein, and you can see them cooking it due to their open kitchen. To say I enjoy spicy food is an understatement. Therefore, when I heard about the Harissa pita chips, I was all about it. They are not over the top spicy. My friend didn't seem very impressed with her gyro sandwich. Although the lunch was disappointing, I remembered that the baklava was made with pistachios, so I convinced my friend to order a piece, which we shared. We both thought it was the best baklava we'd ever had. I think the owner ought to open a bakery and sell that baklava. If her recipe is that good, I'd bet other pastries would be great, as well. But unless she gives more falafel and grape leaves plus more to eat on a veggie plate than so much rice, it's not worth the menu price. I think the only reason I'd go back would be for the baklava.
