When I heard they were opening up a Cava in the Webster area I was ecstatic! If you have never been here before, I would describe it as a Mediterranean Chipotle. I order a build my own bowl, and they give you a good amount of rice and if you don't want rice, you have the option of getting lentils or lettuce. Then the best part is you have 3 options of any type of hummus in your bowl. I'm basic and get traditional hummus and crazy feta. The amount of proteins you get is definitely worth it for the price. Their pickled onion are a must add on your bowl too! At the end you get to also add sauces and I love the garlic sauce! The only reason I give this a 4/5 is because of the service. I think because this is a new location, the service is a little slow. The employees are training and learning how things operate so I understand. First time trying cava and I'm in love. The concept is similar to chipotle but with better food and the pita chips. Do not leave without grabbing those. You won't be disappointed. This is my first visit to Cava in Webster and sadly this visit left a sour taste in my mouth. I had intended to dine in but after the poor service I received, I grabbed a top for my bowl and quickly exited. This review is simply over the service, as I haven't even tried the food yet. I was the only person in line when I walked up so I took a moment to look at the menu. I asked for a bowl without lettuce but when I saw the paltry amount of grains they put in the bowl, I asked the girl to put more. She told me it would be an extra price. I responded that as long as I was getting a double portion it was fine. Her demeanor changed when I questioned the amount of grains and soured further from there. When she grabbed the pita bread, I asked for another piece and said that I know I'll have to pay extra for it. She bagged the pita and moved my things down to someone else, loudly proclaiming that it was double grains as if I intended to steal them. When I got to the register, the price was about $3 over what I expected to pay, so I presumed my extras had been counted for and payed for my meal. The girl at the register handed me one pita so I inquired about the other. Suddenly it was a big deal and she told me I only got one. I told her that I asked for an extra one, emphasizing EXTRA so they would know that meant IN ADDITION TO what came standard. The girl looked confused and called for a manager before ringing up the next customer. The manager went to grab another pita since the girl from before gave my extra pita to someone else, but when he came back he tells me that he's letting me have it "this time" but only one comes with the meal. At this point I'm aggravated because why is everyone acting like this food is coming out of their family pantry?? I told him that I knew the standard which is why I asked for an EXTRA, even telling the girl I understood I had to pay for it. They irked my nerves so bad and I'm already emotionally raw from therapy that I had to quickly review so I can eliminate that negative energy. It's important to note that I was the only Black woman present in that entire ordeal. I won't be returning, even if this particular crew aren't working at that time. I have been to many Cava and this is the first time I arrived at 9:30 and I asked for the spicy chicken and then said they were all out but had 30 minutes to closing. Last time I arrived later around 9:50 and they had every option available. I'm not sure if they just didn't attempt to make more of the chicken before closing b/c they were closing everything down in the kitchen to leave early but it was the only option they were out on. This time it was a bunch of younger people working on the shift it seemed like. It's just upsetting that I could have drove to another location and have gotten the food I wanted exactly. I felt bad I had already began the order so instead of just wasting the food I had to get the regular chicken. They should make a customer aware of these type of things before starting an order with since you have to go down the line. I could have made the decision to purchase somewhere else if I was made aware. In all my years of eating cava I have never had this issue. On top of that I asked for alittle more rice and the young lady wanted to charge me for it which is ridiculous to charge extra for alittle more rice. If I asked for extra chicken I would understand. I have always asked for alittle more rice and have never been told I would be charged extra for it. I placed the order online and when I got there, it was not ready. when I asked the girl at the counter, how long it would be she said she didn't know . she was beyond rude, and when I asked for my dressing and extra hummus that I ordered and paid for, she got an attitude. CAVA is probably one of my top favorite restaurants! The food is always tasty and fresh no matter what I get, but my favorite is the Greek Chicken Pita with a side of delicious pita chips (seriously those things are addicting)! The fresh juices are always sooo good! The line may look long when you go inside but it always moves fast thanks to the staff! They always greet us when we walk in the store and make our food with a smile! The store and bathrooms are clean and the patio is a great place to sit when the weather is nice! This was my first time here. When I was pulling into the parking lot it was packed and I was thinking is it really that good to be packed like this? Well for me it definitely is. That being said this style of food isn't for everyone and that's okay. I had the crispy falafel the way it comes and tried their blueberry lavender juice (which are all made in house). Both of which I enjoyed. They were not rushing me as I told them it was my first time and I was given time to look over the menu. You're going to love it! Tried this place for the first time and like with any new restaurant, you don't know what to expect. As soon as you walk in they make it very clear what your options are. It's is the chipotle of Greek food. You get a bowl or can make a pita. You get rice and greens, then your meat (or veggies) of choice and can top it off with all the fixings. Don't forget to add some dressing at the end for some extra flavor (I got mine on the side). Food was fresh, flavorful, and fantastic to the last bite. Don't forget the homemade-style pita chips. Cava has awesome, customizable Greek bowls/pita sandwiches. They have quite a few options to choose from, however I wish they had shrimp or salmon as an option as well. When this location was Zoe's kitchen-I loved their seafood dishes because you can't get many options like that around here for a fast food price! So I was bummed when Cava didn't have those options. Even though the food is good, the management seems like a hot mess. Half of the staff just stares at you like they have no idea what they are doing. A few times I have gone in, the beverage station is completely sticky and there were multiple tables not cleaned up. The first time I ate here I had no idea pita was even included with my bowl because it was never offered. Another time I asked for falafel and the lady gave me Meatballs, I'm pescatarian so I ended up having to have my bowl remade. I always get a different quantity of the items I choose as well, sometimes they give me 2 falafel and a couple times I've been given 4. Today when I dined in for lunch they apparently "didn't have a cashier" clocked in so the dude that just made like 3 peoples bowls disappeared in the back room for almost 5 minutes until a random lady came out with a new till. And after she came out with the till she didn't acknowledge any of us that had been waiting to pay for almost 5 min until she had the register all set up. A simple "so sorry to keep you waiting" would have been the polite thing to say. This place could be a lot better with more staff training and structure. read more

Service workers are very rude - especially the manager Janelle!! I was first time guest and will not be back after this incident. They were making my peta wrap and one of the ladies behind the counter missed a step and instead of going back and fixing it they just continued it down the line after I said something. The "gilled steak" was ice cold, I had a worker touch a price and she agreed with me. Incomes the Manager... she was extremely rude to me and my family. I explained that our steak was cold and that my order was wrong. Instead of seeing what she could do for us she accused us of lying because she said our food was half way gone. I took literally 3 bites of my meal and my mother took 2 out of her meal so this is the farthest thing from the truth. She eventually asked if she can remake our meals after a couple minutes of back in forth. After we decided and told her that we will just go somewhere else she rolled her eyes and muttered something under her breath when she walked away.
