I ordered the spicy lamb and avocado bowl with a kale and black lentil base. The lemon herb tahini dressing with the creamy feta, tomatoes, cucumber, and lamb was my favorite part of the dish, though everything worked well together. They were also happy to add extra slaw and corn at no additional charge, which paired perfectly with the black lentils. I also appreciated the ample outdoor seating. Would have been nice if they offered a flavored drink option without any added sugar. While the flavors sounded interesting, the calories listed made me feel like there was just too much added sugar for me to consider trying them. Every time I come to this location, I'm impressed. The place is always clean, fully stocked, and well-organized. I've never had to wait long for anything, and the customer service is consistently top-notch. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which really makes a difference. I've visited this location multiple times now, and I felt it was time to give them the credit they deserve. My food is always fresh, warm, and exactly how I ordered it something you don't always get everywhere. I'm just usually popping in for something quick. The process is like any build your own venue. You choose a base, grain, protein, dips (i.e hummus), toppings (so many options here) and sauces (again so many options). The food is consistently fresh, the service is usually very friendly and I've never had any issues. It's my understanding they have a few locations in the area but I have appointments near this spot so it's usually my go-to. Worth the try if you're looking for something fast, casual and honestly (in my opinion) super affordable for the quality and size of the meal. Cava is my obsession at the moment. I go here atleast once a week for a fresh, healthy delicious meal. They are the new "Mediterranean chipotle", you can go down the line and pick anything you like. Ambiance is nice, bright, and open. Lots of windows so the dining area gets a lot of sunlight which is nice. The honey harissa chicken is my favorite with the balsamic date dressing. It is spicy with a little bit of sweetness. I love to mix the lemonade and blueberry lavender drinks to have a blueberry lemonade. The service here is great, especially the manager (he is a sweetheart), but I do have to say be careful about coming late at night because they do run out of things a lot. Go park by Bulla for free parking and walk over. Nonetheless, this is one of my favorite places in tampa to grab a quick meal!! read more

Tampa is most definitely the city of bowls, so I was super excited to visit the new kid on the block and see what CAVA is all about. Boy they did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is spacious with a clean aesthetic and lots of seating room. The menu was easy to navigate: they have curated bowls, pitas, and salads that you can customize, or you can build your own from scratch. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. I ended up going with the Hot Harissa Chicken bowl (spicy) that they curated, but I exchanged cucumbers for kalamata olives. I opted for two dressings on the side- the hot harissa vinaigrette the bowl paired with, and the lemon herb tahini to try. I also got a small fountain drink, making my total roughly $18. The bowl was PACKED. I can easily make two meals out of the bowl. It included rice, greens, chicken, pickled onions, fire roasted corn, kalamata olives, half of an avocado, feta, and hummus. There was so much flavor packed into it and it all worked well together. The chicken definitely had a kick but was easily cooled by the avocado and the hummus. The pickled onions had great acidity, and the corn was sweet and savory. Even though the bowl was great, my favorite part was the fountain drink selection. Those drinks kicked some serious butt. The pineapple apple mint juice was out of this world beaming with flavor, and the blueberry lavendar had me searching Google for a copycat recipe. This restaurant is Chipotle style where you make your bowl or pita as you walk through the line. The one nice thing is that they have some predetermined options if you aren't exactly sure what to put inside. I especially appreciated the ease of that option. The food was fine. The kind of place I would go if friends are going but I would never pick myself. Of course our friends who invited it are in love with it so it's probably a preference thing. But the pita chips were AMAZING. Unfortunately the dipping sauce for the chips by itself costs more than the chips but they pack an even more powerful punch together. And they make them fresh when you order. Hot, fresh, and delicious. Definitely get the pita chips. Service was just ok. They were out of the correct lettuce for my bowl and they had only been open an hour or two that day. Cava is a typical fast casual restaurant just like chipotle but instead of Mexican food, it's Mediterranean. I really like the idea especially since I like fast casual spots and Mediterranean food so for me it's the best of both worlds. They have some great selections, and way more options than Chipotle. The food looked and tasted fresh. Also they have options pertaining to certain dietary restrictions, for example if you rather exclude carbs then you can replace rice with black lentils. I rather like the food, my only complaint is that I ordered the braised lamb for $3+ and it was super salty. If I'm paying more for a better protein then it shouldn't be overwhelming salty. Aside from that I actually really enjoyed the food and the ambience. Next time I go I'm making sure to order a different protein. read more

Cava is a newly opened mediterranean restaurant in Tampa and it was on our list to have bowl from Cava. So for Sunday brunch we took an opportunity to have mediterranean bowl at Cava. Cava was around 20 minutes from our place in Hyde Park. We soon found the parking near Cava. When we entered the restaurant there was a long queue to order the bowl. We waited in the queue for 20 minutes before we got our chance to order the bowl. From cava we can order chef curated pitas, chef curated bowls and can also order bowls according to your preferences too. Instead of ordering the chef curated bowl we decided to make our own bowl which included yellow rice, Beans, grilled chicken, added different sides to the bowl which included tomato, corn, peas etc. Along with the bowl we also ordered falafel on the side. The bowl was ready in minutes and we had our bowl in cava. There is also seating space available inside. The bowl was delicious, tasty with chicken, rice, beans and different sides that we added. One of the delicious and amazing bowl we had. The falafel we ordered on side was also delicious and made it well. Tasty falafel too. The staff was also good and helped us a lot in ordering the bowl. AMAZING! I am a picky vegetarian and this was delicious. I made my own pita with the harissa dip (if you like spice this is for you) half falafel and half roasted veggies. Only complaint is the half falafel meant only 2 falafel balls. This wrap is huge and quite messy. It cost me $11.77 which is a good price for what you get. I can not wait to return.
