If you've wondered what cava is like, its like chipotle style but only better! It's a Mediterranean twist on the build your own bowl or pita fast casual restaurant. I've been in store roughly 10 times but ordered delivery about half and each time is better than the last. Here's my first order: Saffron rice Splendid greens Tzatziki Harrissa honey chicken Feta Roasted corn With a side of pita. Now, I ordered this simply because of Tik tok not knowing that the honey chicken was incredibly spicy (not a huge spice fan) but this bowl nonetheless was so worth it. I decided to change it to a kids meal and order the exact same thing but swap out the honey chicken for grilled and it was perfect! I love the ambience and the customer service every time I come in. The manager T was working the line and preparing the food. I have never seen such good customer service. I asked her about the pita crisps and she said they would take about five minutes. I then sat down to go eat, not wanting to wait and she brought over a cup of pita Chris for me, knowing I wanted them. To go out of her way was extremely thoughtful. I then went to go thank T again and she was helping out new customers letting them sample food. After working at chipotle I can understand that it is quite difficult to serve with the smile on my face, but she did that and more. She deserves raise and is a great look for the company. I ordered carry out from this location and ordered the Harissa Avocado Bowl and pita chips with the feta dip. I unfortunately did not receive any avocado in my bowl which I thought it needed so I would like to try again with it included! I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is phenomenal. like I find myself wanting to come back once a week phenomenal. the harissa chicken is SPICY, but so deliciously spicy it makes your mouth water. the crazy feta and tzatziki are also top notch. the only reason I am giving this a 4 out of 5 is because they seem to always be out of stock if something either it be pita chips, pita bread, or feta etc., which is slightly annoying but the food is so good I give it slack. read more

Yalll I screamed from the rooftops when I heard Tampa was finally getting a CAVA. This location does NOT disappoint and it was just what Soho needed! I've been to this location a few times and the service was a bit slow to start (totally understandable) but they've really got it together now. Their online order system is so smooth and easy to navigate, I scheduled my order a couple hours in advance and my to go order was fresh and ready at the designated pickup station when I arrived. Prices are very affordable for the amount of food you get. I really recommend getting a side of pita chips for scooping bc they're ELITE. Thank you CAVA for finally expanding to Florida!!!! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in to this location late night to grab dinner after the gym and were instantly greeted by two fabulous employees, Ellis and DJ. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt appreciated as customers and have been treated amazingly. They were out of the saffron basmati rice (it was cooking when we arrived but not ready yet) and my boyfriend and I typically only get that rice when eating at Cava however we decided to try the brown rice instead and it did not disappoint. The taste and quality of the food and soft drinks we had were superb. Ellis and DJ's radiant, divine, and welcoming energy made mine and my boyfriend's experience better than we could've ever imagined. Their persistent effort, compassion, and remarkable customer service has not gone unnoticed. The both of you have a genuine effect of radiating happiness towards your customers and I am very appreciative of that. Thank you once again! Placed a delivery order. Wait time was 40 minutes which was fine. After expected delivery time passed, called Cava customer support for information. Was informed while I was waiting on the phone that Cava cancelled my order for absolutely no reason after I'd waited for over 45 minutes. Completely unacceptable. If you like chipotle you might like Cava. It is the same concept you just swap Mediterranean food for Mexican. You can get feta, falafel and tabbouleh all in a wrap with hummus on top. Enjoy. read more

I really wish that I could give a 3.5 rating I had the lamb meatball grain bowl, the pineapple-apple-mint drink, and a brownie that I ordered thru DoorDash. The flavor was great! Very fresh and well seasoned. There was a good char on the meatballs too. However, it was so messy, too messy to really enjoy. I'm not sure if it would've been better if I'd eaten there at the restaurant but, as the 1st picture shows, there was just an excess of toppings and sauces leftover. A waste. In my opinion, for to-go orders, sauces should be packaged separately. The drink was good, smaller than I imagined for the cost, but it was refreshing. I'd order it again. The brownie is just a pre-packaged little bite, not fresh baked. I'll go again but I'll eat it there next time. read more

This the worst location on portions and staff. I went today and the guy doing rice and salad stuff refused to give me more rice. Even if I pay for it? WHAT!? I don't get a main in the bowl because I don't eat meat and don't like the other options. My bowl ended up being 10 bites so pretty much a dollar a bite. He was so rude and he is like this every time I'm in there, I'll get his name next time to update this. Absurd. read more

I ordered takeout for the first time with cava with high hopes on 2/22/23 picking up at 9:30pm. Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with what I received. I got two of the same bowls, but the ingredients did not match the two. Both was missing the "crazy feta" I requested, one did not receive pita crisps nor avocado in the bowl and the other didn't receive the harissa honey chicken ! Laughable experience. Tried to order online, didn't work so I called ahead and made sure they could handle 8 orders at once. They said yes just come down with the printed order. Did that and when I got there they mean mugged me the whole time and when I check out said they'll refuse the order next time. So I guess one order for 8 is a big deal versus 8 people in a line? Needless to say the attitude was unnecessary and they could've said that over the phone before I drove over. Cava on water street ,much better experience. read more

This replaced Zoe's Kitchen. I have no idea why. It turns out, from my observation, Zoe's was a thousand times better than CAVA. Their menu and selection doesn't come close to what Zoe's offered. I went once to the location near my house, and now I won't go back. I drive by every day and I don't see the number of cars that Zoe's use to have at this same location. So I'm guessing I'm not the only person who may feel CAVA doesn't offer the same quality or taste in Mediterranean food. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND STAFF!!! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The man who scooped my food was unhygienic and disgusting, he was spitting and cross contaminating the food. He was straight up rude and had a terrible attitude. He scooped the wrong dips into my bowl and then when I tried to ask for the correct ones, I was charged. I did not want to cause a scene but I want to warn everyone NOT TO GO HERE. read more

A co-worker suggested that we get Cava for lunch one day and now, it's only of my daily suggestions for lunch. While it does have a similar feel such as Chipotle and Q'doba it has its own spin on their food selections. Cava is another delicious spot you may want to try if you're in the area of South Tampa. read more

The employees here, without fail, always have an aura of hostility and it makes coming here unenjoyable. They act as if you've barged into their home unannounced and are demanding them to make you Greek food. I'm not even asking or looking for a Chick-fil-A level of over friendless, but just no death glares and rolled eyes at normal requests would be a good start. The food here is great (albeit a little pricey) which is why I keep coming back. But unfortunately the service is so bad (and something I don't even normally comment on - but it's so obvious in this case) it makes me question if it's worth visiting again. read more

Thrilled this has come to Tampa Bay! One of the best "make your own" places-- bowls, pitas. All fresh and taste isn't compromised. I've gotten the falafel in a harissa bowl and added pita chips on top-- one of my favorites. You can get this in a pita as well, which might be even better. 5 star! read more

SOOOOO GOOD!!! Highly recommend!! Went here on a Friday after noon and it was the second week they were open and I was extremely impressed. Amazing food, super friendly staff, very eco friendly (with the option to get in-house plates and silverware), the tastiest juices and sodas, and the pita bread? OMG. We waited about 15 minutes just to get our check, and other tables around us waited close to 30 minutes to check out, not including the actual payment process. The menu isn't very typical, but the offerings themselves were interesting. We ordered the chicken, which was genuinely amazing and definitely the highlight of the meal. We also got the hummus. The hummus itself was good, but the portion was extremely large, and the pita bread that came with it was very thin and tasted a little stale. The French fries were really good. One thing they could improve on is the food presentation. Our plate had all the chicken piled on the bottom, fries on top, and the pita bread laid over everything, which felt a bit odd visually. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but the menu could benefit from being expanded a bit. There's also a mixed meat option on the menu priced at $200, which feels very high for the area. That said, the outside patio is really cute. If you do decide to come and try this place, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside. Overall, good food with room for improvement in service, presentation, and menu variety.

I shared the Strapatsada (vegetarian, but you can add meat options), which is a Greek scramble with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, grilled baguette; along with the Med Morning Yogurt Bowl (v, gf) featuring fresh berries, house granola, mint, greek thyme honey. The barista was kind enough to remake it when she realized the foam on top was missing. The olive dip was really good! I think I read too many hype reviews, but I want to say it's very good and you should try it and I'll leave it at that to not overkill.
