Love the food and the selection but why is it always SO COLD in there!!??? Every location I go to is always freezing.

One of my favorite spots for quick, healthy food! I love that they switch up the bowls and pitas to match the seasons--it keeps things fresh and exciting. The staff is always so friendly, too. On my last visit, Armonte checked me out, and we discovered we had both moved here from Chicago. Customer service possibly the worst I have ever seen, especially for a publicly traded company. Walked in at 10:28 AM and was greeted with we're not open yet by a guy who was facing away from me and did not bother turning around. Needless to say the location manager was no different. In fact, she made a point in emphasizing that although the door was unlocked, they were not interested in serving customers. The food may be good, but I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of dealing with poor attitudes and people not interested in doing their job. read more

I arrived about an hour before closing and unfortunately they were already out of most of their meat options. On top of that, the front staff member was quite rude and the customer service was disappointing. Please see photo Cava itself uses outside the restaurant of a bowl & what I actually received. I thought the shrinking phenomenon was just when I ordered delivery, but, no. Even when you order in store it's barely a small scoop of rice & 8 springs of arugula. I've been a customer for years and they used to serve fair portions. This is just pathetic. read more

I was in here for the first time over the weekend. The menu reads really well but unfortunately my meal didn't live up to expectations. for my grains and greens bowl I went with the spicy lamb meatballs. Unfortunately, they were way overcooked and dry. They had large black burnt sections on them and not grill marks like the photos show on the menu. The other ingredients were very good and the cucumber mint lime drink was excellent. read more

What a disappointing downfall for this CAVA location. The manager on duty, Marilyn, is hands down one of the most unpleasant figures I've encountered in fast-casual dining. Her demeanor is cold, condescending, and tense. You can feel the discomfort ripple through the staff and customers alike. I genuinely felt bad for the team members working the line. One employee was being micromanaged to an extreme degree, as if giving an extra grain of rice would get them reprimanded. The portions for the base (rice and greens) were embarrassingly small. I've been to CAVA over 70 times across various locations, and this was by far the most pitiful bowl I've received. It's clear that Marilyn is enforcing some bizarre, stingy portioning policy that is damaging both the customer experience and employee morale. I watched her question the line staff about whether customers "explicitly asked" for extra toppings, even though they're supposed to be unlimited. This feels like more than just a rough day. If corporate is wondering why this location is struggling, they need to start by examining who is running it. I wouldn't trust an online order here either. If the portions are this skimpy in person, I can only imagine what gets sent out for delivery. The food still tasted good thanks to the ingredients, but everything else from the uncomfortable environment to the portion control was a letdown. Recent reviews seem to echo this experience. I really do like the good. But their service is atrocious. I order way ahead on the app for pick up and now always with a pick up time 15-20 minutes before I know I'll get there and at least three times it has not been ready. Last week I had to ask and even pushing them it was 27 minutes later than my pick up time before I got my food. This is not acceptable at lunch time when people are pressed for time. I had a great experience at this CAVA location. I went on a weekday in the evening and luckily beat the rush of people. I chose to build my own bowl and was very happy with the amount of different toppings I could place on my bowl. The staff working here was friendly and efficient and I thought everything was priced fairly. I personally loved Greek food and this did it for me! All of the toppings mixed together exactly how I liked and filled my stomach up to perfection. Not only was the food fresh and flavorful but this location was clean, stocked, and well cared for. This place used to be so good. But now the staff is so lazy and nothing is ever ready on time, might as well not even do an online order. Last few times my order wasn't ready for 15-30 minutes after the time it was supposed to be ready. Something happened liked 2 months ago and now they don't even start making the orders until you go up and say you have a pickup order... I went in today and knowing they're always late I arrived 15 minutes late and no one else was even in there and I go and say I'm here for my pickup and my ticket was sitting on the counter while none of the workers are doing anything. After I ask they finally start making it and they're out of 3 of the things on my order can't remember the last time they weren't out of atleast one common thing. I used to come here 2-3 times a week but I'm done with it now it's become a complete joke. RIP to Cava could have been the best new restaurant in the country read more

Ordered 2 build your own bowls to pick up at 9:15 and was disappointed with the portion sizes. I paid 40 dollars for 2 bowls, 2 drinks, and a side of pita chips, and for it to cost that much it should have been filled. I have gone to CAVA many times in the past in California and the bowls were overfilled every single time that I have personally gone in and ordered myself. Homie how are these prices so good? $11 a bowl?? In this economy? It's a TON of protein and rice, you can get lentils if you want even more protein. Tons of sauce options and unlimited toppings like spicy broccoli, corn, pickled onions. I've only had good experiences here and the staff have always been kind and helpful. I know some people have said the opposite, but look, this place is a healthy restaurant in Scottsdale for people on the go... NO ONE can please that clientele. I came here at 2pm on a weekday and it was busy. I was happy that I ordered ahead via the app -- my order was ready, accurate and waiting on the shelf at the time I selected. The app was easy to use. The pita was soft, warm and so yummy! The custom grain bowl was delicious, fresh tasting and quite filling. Lots of vegetarian options. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. Will be back! I think they really need to hire older adults. I absolutely LOVE cava and drove 29miles just to come here. The servers kept putting portions on my bowl of meat and veggies and then taking it off and putting it back in the container if they thought it was too much. Not great for people with allergies. The food here is great. It's like chipotle and you can tell them how much dressing or sauces you'd like and customizable Mediterranean food. The limited time garlic pita chips is a great snack I like to have with my bowl. The service is relatively quick even when there's a lunch rush. Plenty of seating inside and outside.
