Came to a different location after my fiance was craving it. Unfortunately had the exact same problem. Completely understaffed with a line out the door. The workers work hard the issue is theres just not enough of them. Going at 330pm isnt exactly primetime either. My very first time at CAVA. I was super excited to try given the rave reviews I heard - it tastes great, good volume of food, and better than chipotle. I have to find out for myself if those 3 points hold true. Not sure if all CAVA locations are organized this way, but I have to echo other reviewers saying that the set up and flow of the assembly line isn't efficient. In my opinion, Management needs to hire atleast two additional staff to support the long queue. You had essentially 1 worker taking the orders from the rice/salad to the protein to the toppings. She'll handle 2 at a time and takes +5 mins at this step. In the meantime the line is wrapped around the interior of the store. The price is a bit higher than the image uploaded on Yelp. It's now a bit over $10 to start. Now food wise. No complaints, I loved it! For that reason alone I'll be back. I would say they aren't consistent with their portions so just keep an eye out. Ordering the same exact bowl and the guy or girl next to you could have another scoop of rice or bigger scoops of toppings. The first time I tried CAVA was in Virginia, so I was really excited to find out that there is one closer to home! This location is at Bergen Town Center so finding parking is usually not a problem unless it's the weekend. Every time I have gone, there is usually a short line (no more than a 5 minute wait to order). There are plentyyyyy of options to choose from, but here is what I usually order: Greens + Grains Bowl. For the greens, I get the SuperGreens/Spinach and for the grains, I get Lentils. The dips I usually order are Tzatziki and Eggplant + Red Pepper. For protein, I order half Falafel and half Roasted Vegetables. My toppings include Tomato & Cucumber, Kalamata Olives, Cauliflower Quinoa Tabbouleh and Crumbled Feta. I usually get the Lemon Herb Tahini and Sriracha Greek Yogurt dressing on the side since the dips are plenty already. Everything tastes fresh and it's a nice twist to eating healthy. From all the ingredients listed above, my favorite part about the meal is the Sriracha Greek Yogurt and the Falafel. The Sriracha adds just the slightest kick without being too spicy. It's also a great dipping sauce for the Falafel and Pita bread that comes with your meal. I've tested out a bunch of combinations, but I think I've found the combo that works for me! read more

I adore the concept of Cava (like a Greek Chipotle), and I wish there was one by my house (open up in Edgewater!!!). The food is usually consistent and you get a lot of food for cheap...usually. The last few times I've been here, I feel like the portions were on the skimpy side. Still tasty, just skimpy. The chicken is my favorite, and while I'm not a salad person, their supergreens mix is excellent. Also, I do agree with the recent reviews here saying that the customer service is whack. The last time I went, they were not paying attention to who was ringing up who. I had to correct them to get my right order. When I did correct them, I also asked for sauce on the side. The person just kind of rolled their eyes and begrudgingly gave me the sauce. Lol, your job but ok. Then I asked for a bag, and the bag I was given was broken. Instead of just getting a new bag, the same person goes "just hold it from the side like this." I am not a confrontational person so I didn't say anything (especially after the saucey - pun intended - eyeroll) but I was like, "Wow, they really don't care." I would wager that everyone is complaining about the same person, to be honest. A disappointing experience this time around. Ordered ahead via the app. Food was ready when I arrived but alas, my order was incomplete! The pita I had requested, which was listed on the receipt, was nowhere to be found! I went up to a young lady who was making two other customers bowls. I figured she was ignoring me until she was done preparing their bowls. Wrongo, even after she was done it was as if I was not standing there! Even when I tried to get her attention she completely ignored me! I went up to another young lady who did acknowledge me and handed me a quarter piece of cold pita. This place is my fav in the city and I was so glad to find it so close to home! The only thing is depending on the time of the day they might run out of some toppings like avocado or red cabbage etc. their online ordering is super easy and quick so usually I order as soon as I am like 10 mins away and pick it up. They usually have huge lines here if you don't order ahead and plan to stand in the line for order. There is not too much seating available here so we mostly get a take out. We get the custom grains and greens bowl with falafel which is freshly prepared! I like that this place has all you want toppings without any additional cost for premium toppings. I do love the variety of sauce options and on top of it dressing options too. Never had I ever had a dry plate from this place! The only reason why I give this place a 4 star is when I ordered to pickup last time I did select pita chips as a topping and they mostly filled my bowl with it. It was hard to look for falafel or any other toppings in my bowl because of that. Definitely coming back and recommend anyone to try it if they haven't. read more

I LOVE this place. It was only my second time coming here, but I would come here every day for lunch if I lived close enough. I don't think I would get tired of the food because it's so fresh & healthy. I got the super greens salad bowl with grilled chicken for about $10. You get to choose up to 3 dips. I think the tzatziki goes really well with the free pita bread they give you. I love that you can pick as many toppings as you want because they color your bowl and give you a great balance of things. Lastly I got the lemon herb tahini dressing on the side. The bowl doesn't really need dressing because there's already so much flavor AND you get the 3 dips, but I got the dressing to dip my pita into. The dressing was SO good. The bowl is definitely a hefty size. I could easily feed myself for lunch and dinner, which is what I did last time as well. The bowl is such good value. Loved coming back here again. I haven't been in some time, but was really excited to order! They do a really good job of trying to maintain social distance between tables; they have the row of tables closest to the order counter blocked off and the rest of them are alternating to ensure enough space. They added a few different things since the last time I came, including other grain options called RightRice along with having their usual selection of greens. I ordered the basmati rice because it's just always SO GOOD, braised lamb, and a smattering of toppings. I did forget to order pickled onions but they were more than happy to accommodate me with a side order when I went back to the counter. All in all, great experience with all covid restrictions in place. It's also great to see them adding new items to the menu to reflect what the customers are looking for, like adding avocado and bringing back certain dressings. Definitely worth a trip! read more

This cava has the RUDEST employees. They never tell you when they're out of ingredients and will charge you full price. Online orders are never done correctly or even on time. They have a falafel that is so most it melts in your mouth. I recommend getting a mix of the grain and the salad if you want salad it can run a little small. Every time I have ordered from this cava location via Uber, the orders are missing items, especially the pita, or the orders are completely wrong and have items we didn't order or the orders are mixed up and don't match what is clearly listed on the receipt that accompanies the order.
