This was my first time having Cava and I went inside to order to make sure that I would get all the toppings and proteins I wanted! just like at chipotle, I can never trust to order online, I like to order in person Food: Think of it like a mediterrean healthy version of Chipotle, but more expensive and with healthier ingredients. I got the build your own bowl with a side of pita bread. the protein i got was harissa chicken which was an extra $2. the dips and spreads I got were tzatziki, red pepper hummus and harissa, which I fairly enjoyed with my pita bread when making my little bites. Overall, the food was pretty good and felt super healthy. I do prefer Hummus Way in Santa Ana and they have better toppings, so if you are looking for an amazing alternative, Hummus Way is the way to go!

First time trying CAVA. It was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. The chicken tasted so good, great seasoning and I looove me some good lemon herb seasoning. All the power greens and corn pickle onions tomatoes Persian cucumber I paired it with the lemon cucumber water I wish I would of taken a picture before I ate it all. Sorry!! Super helpful staff too and very clean place. Def a new favorite

It was fast paced and clean. It is smaller than other locations I've visited but I'm just happy it's close to home. The service is sweet and they're kind. The food hits the spot all the time. Super flavorful and never misses. You are able to order online and pick it up. There are 3 parking spaces outside the establishment for pick up orders. There's also tons of spaces for handicap and regular parking.

Honestly I have to comment that it was extremely cold inside. The AC was so strong that I ended up getting sick the next day. I get it that it may be hot to cook but it felt like I was in the snow. Please do something to make it comfortable for the customers too. Clearly no one was eating inside - everyone was scrounging for an outside table. The bummer is these tables are shared with 3 eateries. The line takes awhile, so patience is a must. I feel like the servers were trying their best to move the line through. It starts with choosing either a pre suggested bowl or you can design your own. You can choose your base then add protein and fillings. Don't forget a little drizzle of sauce at the end. Pita bread slice is added too. The flavor was good. Huge portion size (a mini bowl would've been better).

Today was Day 1 for this location and I'm so glad I was able to stop in. The energy in there was full of excitement and nerves as they served their first round of meals to guests. Everything went fairly smooth for just being open a matter of hours and aside from the balloons out front and the extra employees and personnel standing around, business went seamlessly. We ordered a build-your-own bowl and a chicken wrap. Both were absolutely delicious and I love all of the customization possibilities with the build-your-own bowl. And of course, we couldn't forget the side of pita. There is PLENTY of parking available right next to them. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Fortunately So Cal weather was doing its thing today and we opted to sit outside. There are umbrellas to shield you from direct sunlight. My only gripe is that there isn't a trash can outside so you have to go back inside to put everything away. I will definitely be back especially since work within walking distance of them. Excited to watch this location grow and flourish.

My son called Culinary Dropout and spoke with Olivia, the hostess, to see if the kitchen was still serving. Olivia responded with genuine warmth and kindness, assuring us that the kitchen was still open and that they would be happy to welcome us. From the moment we arrived, Olivia's hospitality set the tone for an exceptional evening. She greeted us with a warm smile, made us feel genuinely welcome, and promptly seated us. Shortly after, our server, Layla, introduced herself. Despite the late hour, she was energetic, engaging, and had an infectious enthusiasm that elevated the entire dining experience. She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. Another team member, Emanuel, delivered one of our dishes and was equally personable and engaging. He took the time to share information about the restaurant, further demonstrating the outstanding level of hospitality displayed by the entire team. Manager Dave also stopped by our table to check on our experience. We shared with him that this was, without question, one of the best dining experiences we've had in Orange County in quite some time. Great food certainly matters, but it was the exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and positive energy of the staff that made the evening truly memorable. A sincere thank you to Layla, Olivia, Emanuel, Dave, and the entire Culinary Dropout team for creating such a first-class dining experience. We look forward to returning soon and will gladly recommend your restaurant to family and friends.

First time here and loved everything about it…read more First of all, General Manager Jessica is suuuper nice and friendly. She greeted us with great energy, making small talks. Told us everything is made in-house, even the sauces! That's really good to know and makes me feel better about the food. She even gave me a free delicious cookie for being a first timer! And she comes around from time to time to check on us to make sure we're enjoying our food. Really nice to receive this kind of attention from a fast-casual restaurant. The Santa Maria BBQ Salad looked good but I asked her if they could substitute the chicken with the Chimichurri steak and she said "sure!" And surprisingly they did not charge extra! I love restaurants that are flexible like this. My salad bowl was SO good and filling. Lots of good stuff in it: chopped salad mix, coleslaw mix, Applewood-smoked bacon, crumbled goat cheese, corn & black bean salsa, grape tomatoes. Served with chipotle ranch dressing and blackberry BBQ sauce on the side, and a fresh baked focaccia bread. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the cold meat. I was under the impression that the meat was going to be hot. My BF got the Southwestern Sandwich. It was delicious. All the Southwestern flavors were there but not overwhelming. The sandwich was hot and juicy. For a restaurant that makes everything from scratch, their prices are very affordable. Both our meals were only $27 total. Friendly service, great food and good prices - what not to love?

You're going to pay sit down restaurant prices while eating out of paper plates. $20 chicken kebab plus tax and tips - that is the exact same price as at Panini Kabob Grill. The pricing point is kind of a stretch for work lunch hour meals. I'm not sure that too many people are going to be willing to pay $25 for their lunches but the quality of food seems to be on point and that is rare around the downtown area where most restaurants serve burgers, fries, and all sort of deep fried dishes. For that price, honestly, my bigger beef was eating out of paper plates. Chipotle does this, but their meals are a lot more generous and cheaper. I think you should definitely give this place a try at least once and then decide whether to come back by yourself. The food was good.

Unfortunately, my experience yesterday, 8/17/26, was very different. I'm leaving this review not to get anyone in trouble, but because I genuinely hope management takes the feedback seriously and makes the necessary corrections so this remains a place customers actually want to return to. Around 1:00 p.m., we were at the registers when there was an issue with one of the cash registers, which understandably caused some confusion. One employee told me, "I can take you," only to find out that she couldn't, and I ultimately had to move to the other register. I was hoping to order breakfast. By the time I reached the register, it had just turned 1:01 p.m. The employee told me, with a sarcastic smirk, that breakfast had ended at 1:00. I understand that restaurants have set hours and policies, but given that it had literally been one minute past the cutoff, I expected at least an attempt to provide good customer service--such as offering to check with the manager on duty. Instead, I had to ask her to ask the manager myself. What was most disappointing, however, was the overall attitude. The two ladies working at the registers, were talking to each other as though they were not on the clock, while two customers were standing at the register waiting to order. The interaction came across as dismissive, rude, and lacking even basic customer service. If you don't want to interact with customers with professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude, then unfortunately, you may be in the wrong industry. Even my fiancé, who is extremely easygoing and rarely gets bothered by these things, was taken aback by the dismissive and entitled behavior we experienced. Again, this review is not about getting anyone in trouble. It's about accountability and improvement. We frequent this location because we enjoy it, and we want to continue supporting it. But customer service matters just as much as the food. I hope management addresses what happened so that other loyal customers don't walk away feeling disrespected or unwelcome. Also, the bathrooms were an absolute mess, toilet paper on floor, not in its holder. There were no toilet seat covers, no paper towels, ect. as shown in photos below.
