Came here for lunch before heading back to Ohio. Wanted a healthy lunch and that's what's here. Chipotle of Mediterranean. I got the Greek pita. Pita is nice and big and fluffy. They pile ingredients into it of your choosing. Then they just give it to you. It's not wrapped or enclosed it's just flat. You can try to eat it like a taco but it's too big and too much stuff so it's sloppy. More fall out than the bite you will take. Mine was full of tacziki, chicken, romaine, tomato, cucumber, feta. Sloppy but good. Better in a bowl than a pita. Pita was good cuz all of the juice but not neat to eat. They have all types of drinks. Teas and pops. Big selection. The issue was the cleanliness of the store. Tables weren't cleaned off. Messy and we cleaned off a table to sit. I get your busy at lunch but 1 person should always be monitoring the dining area to clean off tables. Food was good though. But would have been better score if the store was cleaner. Staff was nice. The prices are pretty good. Fast casual so it's decent prices. Easy to get to as well. read more

Food is always fresh and priced reasonably for excellent portions. I go here as often as possible.

Placed a pickup order and came and was standing there looking at the shelf for more than 5 mins. I asked the cashier where my pick up is and she said just give me five mins so I said ok. From observation they weren't short staffed so not sure why my order wasn't on time but after waiting, I get my bowl. I had to get my own drink and my utensils even though it said my pick up order would have it. Getting the drink wasn't a problem but give me atleast some napkins ? Then. I get home and I am starving and about to eat my food- I got the salmon rice bowl and there was SO much aragula in my bowl it was more of an "aragula bowl". I swirled around the bowl and there was BARELY any rice in there. It was legit rabbit food. The salmon was good and the harissa but I paid $20 for this to be given rabbit food. The cucumber mint lemonade was good but i don't like my experience at this location. read more

I heard people rave about Cava in other states. I was excited to try it when it finally came to Metro Detroit. I've been a few times now and I've had wonderful experiences. The food is fresh and tasty! I love the variety of dips, sauces, and veggies that you can get. I went recently and the inside was very clean and had plenty of seating. The C location took over the old Boston Market. The space inside looked had the same set up but the decor was simple, had a lot of great natural light coming in from almost all sides of the restaurant, with two separate entrances/exits. We arrived around 1:45 pm and surprised the line was to the far door. The line moved a bit slow for how many staff there were, so we didn't think it would take that long but by the time we paid for our food and out the door (to go orders), we realized it took about 45 minutes. I must say, C does live up to the hype. I was worried after seeing people post about the portion size, but I was really happy with my choice- the Greek salad with steak. My hubs ordered the sweet potato bowl but they had ran out of that and something else that was supposed to go in his bowl. Other than the long wait and being out of a few things, the food was really good. We agreed C is a better option and place compared to Chipotle. I'm hopefully since this location is still fairly new, that it'll run a bit quicker. But if you are on a time crunch, it might be worth it to download the app and place an order online. read more

9:47 pm, worked late, long day, starving. I'm walking toward the door to CAVA from my vehicle. A worker speed walks to the door and locks it. Then she speed walks to the other door and locks it. Sign says you're open until 10. This was my 2nd time at Cava, the first was a different location, the meat was gristly and overcooked. both experiences were bad. I'll continue to go to Pita Way for Mediterranean. The workers at 5 guys were dancing to music when they welcomed me in. When I left with my food at 10: 57 they still welcomed another guy in as I was leaving. You should change the time on your sign. My 5 guys was good Thanks! read more

This was a delicious bowl! We have wanted to try this place since we heard they were coming to Michigan. I wanted to try this place, especially since I saw so many people eating those crispy pita chips online, for awhile now. Now, there is not anything so spectacular or different about Cava. We do have many Middle Eastern bowl places that we already frequent, but I did enjoy what they had to offer. This place was fairly busy for an early Saturday night dinner. They also were out of several items, probably because it is new and so many want to try it. The people working here were okay. They were nice and helpful, but their vibe was off, like they did not totally want to work here and I felt a bit rushed. Also, the restrooms were very dirty and not kept up, but still, this place gets a four. We tried two bowl and a wrap, plus the sour cream pita chips and their unique drinks. I loved their drinks. It reminded me of when Panera had interesting teas and lemonades before they seemed to take it all away. I loved their blueberry lavender lemonade with half plain lemonade. I loved their diet Mexican cola as well. Honestly, if they continue the drink lineup, I could see myself stopping in just for a drink order to go. Their pita chips were worth it! I should have bought a few orders instead of just one to snack on later. My daughter got the braised lamb wrap and added potatoes and avocado. I feel like it should have come with half lamb and half potato without that upcharge, but the lamb was so fall off the bone tender. I could see myself getting the lamb in a bowl in the future. I got the Harissa chicken and potato bowl with rice and lentils. I loved the veggies, they reminded me of the trendy viral savory dinner people are making with the pickled onions and tomatoes. I loved all of the sauces, I got Harissa sauce, crazy feta, and eggplant, then zhug dressing and garlic dressing. It was all delicious and lasted two meals for me. I hope they work out the bugs and get in more food, we wanted the lamb meatballs and some of the missing dressings, but I do want to come back soon to try more, or even just eat the same bowl again. read more

I believe this used to be Boston Market location years ago. It's nice to see a business open up in the empty lot. Cava is a fast casual middle eastern restaurant. We ordered two bowls, one chicken and rice and one garlicky chicken shawarma. $24.15 The chicken and rice had a good amount of rice and arugula as its base, liked the arugula, gives it more bite. The chicken pieces and other items were a rationed amount for both of our bowls. Not sure of the amount would be more generous had we gotten some add ons or a build our own bowl instead. The feta were small crumbles and a tad sparse for my husband's chicken and rice. The hummus and tzatziki are small portions, melon baller maybe. The bowls aren't super deep and an average size. Chicken isn't too dry. Pickled onions are good as well. Might be good to add harissa to our bowls next time for a bit more kick and flavor. My husband prefers Chopped down the street with their add-on options. I prefer Pita Way. read more

Never heard of CAVA until they opened in Novi. Really glad I tried their food. Ordered from them 4 times now - always fresh, delicious, order accurate, good quality. Price is fair for the portion size and quality. Haven't visited in person yet, but the prices are lower in-store. They offer a variety of _fully_ customizable bowls and pita wraps and kiddo meals with many options for proteins, veggies, dressings, dips/spreads, and grains. Easy to stick to your dietary needs and still get some great food: keto, GF, v/v, Mediterranean. They always get my order right, no matter how many customizations I add. You can get extra or half/half portions on all the ingredients. App is solid and intuitive to use -- haven't found a bug in it yet. Rewards program is easy to understand and pays off quickly. Delivery has been prompt, and food is still in prime condition when it reaches me. Drinks are delicious but a little pricey. All in all, a great fast-casual addition to the Novi food offerings that easily meets my low-carb, high protein, gluten-free needs at a fair price. My kid (11 y.o.) loves it too. Very glad I tried this place. I order from them weekly, feels like a treat but is actually quite healthy. I have been to CAVA outside of Michigan and was really excited when they opened one here. I was even more excited when they opened one closer to my home so I went to go try it out! This place needs to close and revamp then open again. This was not the CAVA I know. You are allowed unlimited topping but they acted like they didn't want to give you any. When I asked for extra rice, the worker had a huge attitude towards me. When I asked for my tzatziki sauce on the side, he gave me a teaspoon full in a container. The chicken shawarma was actually decent at this location. That's the only good thing. The lemonades all tasted like water. None of them had any taste to them at all. Just food color water. I asked a worker to clean a bathroom because it was messy and they seemed to have an issue with it. I'm so disappointed in this location and hope they fix a lot of issues others are stating. I thought i was crazy, but looking at the other previous reviews, the portions for this place are so small for what you pay. Attached to this review is my chicken shawarma bowl that maybe had 10 small chicken slices, 2 falafel balls, and small portions of everything else. CAVA took over the former Boston Market space. I placed an order via the app and selected my pickup time. Very convenient. There are designated 10 minute pick up parking spots right in front but I parked in the back to get some steps. Since the place is brand new, it was very clean and sparkly. There is a pick up area to the left when you walk inside. On the app, you can select if you want a bag and silverware. I ordered one bowl and it came in a giant bag. The grain bowl that I ordered was good but the portion was small. Maybe it's because several of the items I selected did not make it into my bowl but I didn't want to drive back. Ugh. The service was strange. The people in front of us and behind us got their bowls filled to the top, while we did not, barely got anything. I do not know if it is because of the color of my skin, but it was very weird. The staring at us as we were completing our order, all of it just very weird. Mediterranean-ish quick food. And...delicious, but not filling, unless you over do it. You step into the line and tell the server what you want in your bowl or pita. There are rices, lentils, mixed greens for the base. There are a host of spreads and dips; harissa (very tasty), hummus, baba, and another style of eggplant, etc.. There are variations of lamb, chicken, and a really good falafel. The spicy, grilled chicken is my favorite. They should drain the fat off the lamb, so that it doesn't have that greasy lamb fat flavor and add more spice. There are so many topping selections like; sumac slaw, tomato and red onion, cucumbers, olives, feta, pickled red onions, etc.. I haven't named them all. Service is excellent. Staff is well-informed and trained. They are very helpful. The dining area is clean and comfortable, but very minimalist. I discovered this (Chipotle) style restaurant in Maryland, years ago and I really liked the food. I feel healthy when I eat there. I am glad they finally made it up here.
