    Super Dearborn with fries
    Kelli T.

I came across this place on Facebook and they do not disappoint. I ordered three of the super Dearborn chicken Shawarmas which includes extra chicken, extra pickles and extra garlic sauce. They grill this enormous wrapped sandwich with spices and I also added fries on the sandwich. All I can say is the sandwich is fresh, the quantities are huge and it's one of the best chicken Shawarma I've ever had. And that's saying something. Check out Pita Way in commerce Township and you won't be disappointed. Especially by the friendly and accommodating staff. It's nice to order in a restaurant and be greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Food was soooo good! They have a great system and great options. The employees are super nice too. We have only been once but definitely will go back. Healthy, delicious, quick food! Can't beat it!

    Fire Fries with chicken

We heard a Pita Way opened up in this location. I believe it is a former Sub Way so it is very small and very narrow without a lot of places to sit. Since it was dinner time it got pretty crowded since is such a small space. There were quite a few people working here, but it did not seem too organized. That might be due to it being a newer business which is very understandable. The people working here seemed pleasant enough and answered all of our questions. This is the third Pita Way location I have tried. I typically go to the White Lake location to eat or carry out, or order from the Lake Orion location, so I have tried a couple other restaurants before coming here. The White Lake location is one that we actually frequent often and really enjoy. So since I have eaten at a couple of of their restaurants, we already have expectations when it comes to flavor, presentation, value, and service. I ordered the fire fries with chicken on top. The portion was pretty big. I ordered it to eat for dinner and I shared with the family. It was large enough for us to all have some then have leftovers the next day. It was good, but not great. The fries were not as crispy as the other locations, they were a bit chewy and did not taste fresh. The feta was not as chunky as it normally is, and there was less of it. The chicken was good, but it did not compare to Bucharest. I asked for extra fire dipping sauce which they kindly gave me, but did let me know they usually charge extra for sauce on the side. I am sure the White Lake location does not charge for a bit of extra sauce, and Mr. Kabob never charges us for extra sauce on the side. My family got the lentil soup. It was good and thick and hot. But it was not Pita Way's typical yellow color, it was green. It was also spicy. We do like a bit of spice, and it tasted good, but their soup is typically mild and smooth. One child wanted a chicken and garlic spread sandwich and said no to humus, but the person put it on the pita anyway. She did not want them to remake it, but it was not what she ordered or wanted. My husband ordered his sandwich and wanted an extra topping. But then the person decided to re-roll it into another pita and almost did not add the garlic or humus. They were also a lot more conservative with the toppings. The other location loads up the pita with more toppings and rolls up a huge sandwich. It all tasted fine, but not great like what we expect. When I get Pita Way I usually remark "They did it again and made some fantastic dishes," but this place made some good food. I would not discourage others from visiting here, especially if you have never tried this place. Perhaps they are just working out the bugs and learning how to improve. This is why I try to avoid very new places, I understand perfection is a work in progress. I hope they get there.

Then he brought me my chicken shawarma and some Bulgur! It was in place of rice and so much better for you and I love rice. But I have a new favorite! He brought me a side dish of beans in some sauce I can't remember the name! I was in heaven those who know me know I am a creature of habit when it comes to food I usually stick with the same stuff when I find something I love. Their menu is huge and so many other things on it I want to try! I am sure I will be back in within the week. Rod was such a good human we loved talking to him. He has worked hard to make this place great. Very nice atmosphere. Everyone in that came into the restaurant raved of the food and service. So do yourself and him a favor and stop in! You will not be sorry! If you have any questions just ask him and if you happen to find anything you find is not your favorite let him know. I had a potato thing he brought in a sauce and I love potatoes but it wasn't my favorite! But the beans I snubbed my nose up to at first turned out to be something I would order again. The potato's were not bad I love potato's but he told me to just try the beans and to my surprise were really good, I would order again!! Great experience and being so sleepy after chemo it turned out putting me in a very happy state of mind!? Stop in soon and talk to Rod! They do catering as well. I hope to go back and try one of everything on his menu. Who knew I would love it so much!! Of course can't do it all in a day so you can bet that I will be coming back often of as often as my body lets me with chemo every three weeks!! This made our day!! Go eat you wont be sorry!!

I always appreciate a good fast-casual style restaurant that offers an easy menu with good and healthy options, so I was looking forward to trying out The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in West Bloomfield! Upon first glance, the restaurant looks very chill, well kept up, and has tons of seating options. The staff was also very kind and continually offered to help with anything during our visit. However... I have two main qualms. One is that the price per item adds up very quickly here. You essentially have to factor in that you can probably get 1.5 meals out of a portion, because otherwise, you're paying close to $20 for a single meal of fast-casual food. Keep in mind that most other locations of this caliber in this area would easily have 2 meals worth of food in one entree at a lower price. The food itself was pretty ok - I'd say it met our expectations of what a standard mediterranean restaurant should be. That said... they definitely disappointed us with the wait time. We went in on a slow Sunday afternoon, and though there was only 1 other family in the restaurant, we ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food. Ultimately... I'd probably recommend you try somewhere else -- The Great Greek Mediterranean is definitely casual, but nowhere near fast.

The only con for me for this franchise is the price - it's a bit pricey, but the sandwiches are huge, so you could make two meals out of it if you weren't super hungry. The sandwiches are about $13 each, and if you get a protein like lamb there's an upcharge. I believe the bowls are about $15 each. Make sure to ask for some samoon chips with your order, too! These are like bagel chips with za'atar spice and I've never seen them anywhere else. It was about $29 for two sandwiches for us - like I said, pretty pricey but portions are gigantic.
