They're so good I have to remind myself to chew instead of immediately inhaling them. Whoever came up with that recipe deserves a raise... and maybe a holiday. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and somehow makes me feel like I'm eating healthy while also having the time of my life. I finally got my hands on a bowl at Cava and I'm here to say that it totally lives up to the hype. I built my own bowl with white rice, leafy greens, chicken shawarma for my protein, all the veggies and topped with tzatziki and garlic sauce. Absolutely delicious and it's a healthy alternative to traditional fast food -- I really wish we had more locations in the Midwest. The service was normal, seeing that I wasn't in a rush and the inside is very narrow but offers quite a bit of seating. If you haven't tried it, you're seriously missing out. read more

CAVA is, by far, my favourite fast-casual restaurant. The food is so quick, there are so many options, and the ingredients are incredibly fresh. This location was less busy than the other ones I've been to, but that could also be because I was here within an hour of opening. Classic to CAVA, there were wide open windows that helped bring the light in and frame the restaurant if you were dining indoors. The front mostly has bar seating by the windows, but some seated ones in the back. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 and not a 5 is because this location is quite narrow and I prefer the booth seating in the other CAVA locations, but the food here is consistent with the other branches. Decided to try Cava. Ordered a Falafel crunch bowl--loved that everything was fresh and tasty. Most of the dressings are vegan. The only drawback was that they only give 2 falafel balls while most other places give 4 falafel balls--that is a big difference. For $17, I thought it was too small. They charge extra if you want more. Originally the bowl was $12.95, I added avocado. I heard that the serving size is usually one falafel--guess I got lucky with two. The meal was good. Great place is you don't mind paying big bucks for a tiny portion of something good. The service was okay, no complaints. The setup and checkout line reminded me of Chipotle with a takeout ambiance--I do not recall anyone sitting. read more

I checked out the cava on Madison Avenue which isn't too far from this location. I suggest that you order pickup as waiting on that line would take forever. They did have my order correct and it was ready before my scheduled pickup time which was great. The store was very clean so I was satisfied with that. You do have to pack your own meal into the brown paper bag to go along with utensils and napkins. If you order a drink, you would get a cup to get it from the fountain. read more

guys... what is going on here? we ordered 2 sides, tzatziki and eggplant. The portion we got is about a teaspoonful of each. It would be comical if it wasn't for them each costing approximately 5 dollars. Love CAVA! Recently ate at the Bergen Town Center mall location after what must've been like ~5 years, I have to say I really enjoyed the food & overall experience. My old work colleague had the Harissa avocado bowl and I had the Greek chicken bowl - both with pita chips at his recommendation - and the whole bowl was super tasty and that pita chip was to die for. It was crunchy, perfectly savory, with that guilty dose of fried taste that livens up the flavors! I may never be able to go back to plain pitas! As for drinks, I tried their cucumber mint lime and say whatttt? Perfect sour & punchy accompaniment to the hearty meal! My colleague was telling me he eats there like 1-2x a week because he's such a fan, and I became that - and went again a few days later to a different location because I couldn't get enough of that mediterranean flavor combo CAVA does very well! I'll say that when building Harissa Avocado bowl I realized the cost is rather steep (like $18 for a bowl? I like the sound of that bowl but no thanks) for what it is, so I just stuck to regular greek chicken bowl... but Cava definitely earns my praise in delivering bold & tasty flavors in healthy packages! read more

The ingredients tasted fresh and there were plenty of seats to sit inside. I love that cava labels their menu with allergens so it makes decision making easy when you're in line. Sadly the falafel is not gluten free and there aren't gluten free pita options. Come here for lunch sometimes and the lines are so long. For good reason I'm in love with their Harissa Honey chicken salad. The ingredients are so fresh for the most part. There was one time the rice was undercooked. But usually on point. You can customize your own salad and add as many toppings as you like. Great new location of CAVA - only one block from Grand Central heading towards the UN. Seems to have only been open for a couple of months as the interior is still fairly new. The food is of solid quality as at other CAVA location. Servings are on the smaller side but portions are still filling and the service is friendly & fast - a much appreciated contrast to other CAVA locations I've visited in the past. Similarly, their electronic equipment is actually working which also wasn't the case at other locations. Making use of the loyalty program CAVA offers through their app helps to offsets the price a bit. It's not very large location and seating is mainly along the window. Wasn't a problem for lunch on a Sunday but it's probably good to be prepared to just get take-out during busy hours. They could improve cleaning of the tables in between customers though as some people are rather messy eaters. read more

Really good! I was visiting NYC for work and ordered a salad for delivery. It was delivered within 45 minutes and the order was perfect! I got a salad with half lamb and half chicken, and a side of pita bread. The salad was really good, and the bread was warm and soft. The food at Cava is pretty consistent - but the service staff is all over the place. Either they're bickering with each other while the line grows longer and longer or simply not paying attention to anything a customer is trying to say about their order and you end up with a gloopy mess. When it's good, it's what you expect it to be; but when it's off, it is REALLY off. read more
