First time I went, they were out of rice and braised lamb, so they asked if I would change my order to steak and brown rice. I figured it was a one time slip up as the store is new, and agreed without issue. This was around 6:30 pm on a weekday. Decided to try again today and the bowl I received had uncooked, dry, hard, crunchy lentils. I think they were raw and never actually cooked. They were inedible. This has consistently been the worst Cava I have ever been to... which is so disappointing because I love the Cava by my work and was excited for this one. read more

Food is good, prices a bit on the higher side. Portion sizes are too small for the price. This location is new, our experience wasn't as pleasant as we expected. Tables were filthy dirty, all tables. Food all over the floor, including preparing area and also used gloves on floor. Containers for utensils super filthy! We had to ask for new forks and they weren't really happy about that. Service was slow and not once anyone working there even smiled or greet. Proteins were not ready either, we had to wait a while for them. Overall ambience was depressing. Too bad, it was our first and most likely our last time at CAVA read more

First time here and chefs kiss! The harissa avocado bowl was delish, fresh, slightly spicy and huge. So glad I have leftovers and the blueberry lavender tea is so refreshing and not sweet, which I love. A bit expensive as it was $20 for the bowl and small drink. read more

CAVA - Harissa avocado bowl and blueberry lavender tea - Mediterranean Near Me - Mckinney, Texas

I absolutely love CAVA!!! Hands down one of my favorite places to eat! Decided to write a review about this location because the service was amazing. JAY is very helpful with suggesting options when you aren't too sure what you want. She is also the first person that's asked if I want the free pita. I usually have to ask. She was kind, upbeat and professional! I appreciate it when people go the extra step to make your experience pleasant with positivity and willingness to help. 10/10. read more

So the food is great. But the staff at this location is extremely unprofessional. There is always something wrong with the point scanner. I paid for a large cup and they gave me two kids cups because they were out of large cups. Then I sat down to eat my meal and listened to the staff complain about their jobs, schedule, and manager. This location is ran poorly. They might have a right to complain about management but done loud enough so the entire place can hear???? The last time I was here a staff member couldn't wait to clean the table next to me and sprayed me and my food with cleaner. I won't be back. read more

First time to this location and what a disappointment. Our party asked for grilled chicken and clearly advised that one person was allergic to spicy. They had mixed the spicy with regular grill! Informed manager and acted like an "oh well" and didn't even bother to purge the wrong one to the point another customer had the same problem. Extremely managed with lack of safety and food protocols. read more

Food great. People great. Glad to come eat here. You should try it. I'm still typing because Yelp makes me use more words. Two stars for yelp. read more

Tried Cava for the first time and I'm glad we went to the University (McKinney) location because we had KC help us. She explained the menu & gave suggestions. She was spot on. I got the chicken avocado bowl, my husband got the spicy chicken pita wrap. Both were delicious. The pita chips are addictive and the fresh made juice was refreshing. Good food + excellent service = returning customers. We sill definitely be back. read more

The staff is awefully trained . They don't even know what's inside those containers . Althouhh the store is new, the stations are not clean and messy. And the prices are too high read more

The food is good, but the service of the employees could have been better. It was a casual eatery atmosphere.

This location is disappointed me. Hospitality is bad but no so terrible and young girls works behind the counter thinks everyone its so little like her lol read more

Food is great as with every Cava, but the employees were all very rude with us while we were ordering and with every other interaction. First suggestion is to take the airpods out while working with customers, and this is coming from someone fresh out of college. Next, tone and phrasing can make a world of difference with making someone feel welcome. We felt that the staff was very short with us when asking very simple questions like if they had certain toppings. When asking if they had the pickled onions the attendant responded "No." very harshly. It would've been nice to board it with a "So sorry sir" or just something else to just make us feel a bit more welcome. There were several other instances but I won't go into detail. Need better staff! Embarrassed by my own generation! read more

Order take out! The food is 5, but that's about it. We dined their last week and the entire soda machine, including the ice, was out. Yesterday, all the specialty lemonades and ice teas were out, as well as the ice. Additionally, you had to eat with a spoon, as they were out of forks. The ambiance is also quite plain. Walls are white and mostly bare, and everything else is very neutral. No background music. Very basic. But again...the food is delicious! read more

I came in for the first time and was going down the line trying to tell the staff what I wanted and they could not seem to understand English. They expect you to know all the fancy names of the ingrediants. So I just started pointing them out. Then Brando appeared and told me to quit reaching beyond the glass to point out the ingredients. He was abrupt rude and completely unfriendly. He then dismissed the two people in training and took over. Glairing at me he said what do you want so i (not pointing now) told him what I wanted and he put the wrong thing in my bowl. I said that was not what I wanted. He then told me that that is what I asked for and that I could go ahead and leave the restaurant. I have never been asulted with so much obvious hate and disdain in my life. This man has no business being around people. This place wil NEVER get my business. No excuse for this kind of behavior. What is the world coming to where a customer is treated like this. read more

I love Cava but this location is the worst. They are slow, late on pickup orders, and usually mess up the order. I wouldn't recommend ordering online or ever doing the drive through pickup. Once you're in the drive through line you are stuck in it too. Go in or don't go to this one at all read more

What an excellent experience! The service was fast, pleasant, professional and the food was delicious! Brandon checked me out and brought so much positivity to my day I had to thank him for it! It's clear the manager KC is doing a great job leading this team and providing excellent service! Thank you! I wish every food experience was this good! read more

I don't know why this place or exact location would have anything below 5 stars! Every single time I come here the food is so delicious! The entire team is super friendly, thank Casie for your great service! read more

We were super excited we got a Cava near us but, when we went inside the bathrooms were disgusting, tables were gross, the floors hadn't been cleaned, and much more. The food was good but just by looking at the food line we are concerned on if the food is fresh. Service was not good, it seemed like the staff were more concerned on goofing around than working. We are just so disappointed because they JUST opened! Hope something changes! Won't be going back to this location again! read more

It's 2 1/2 hours before closing and worker couldn't make my pita because they were "out of a certain ingredient ". She put my pita on the warmer for 5 sec and it was still cold when I started eating. We wonder if it was even on.. Workers need to have aprons in when working with food. Strike two! read more

Literally the worst experience I have had at cava.. been here twice to and both times were awful. Not a single friendly face. Their portions leave something to be desired.. read more

The McKinney location found my neighbors purse and told her they found it and it was in their safe. When my neighbor went to retrieve her purse, all of a sudden it couldn't be found. She then called McKinney PD. Oh! guess what?!? It was in the dumpster with her cash missing, somebody went through all her credit cards, and her key was missing. Liars and thieves! read more

This was my first time visiting This location. I ordered online and chose the digital drive thru. I waited for 30min in the drive thru line. Got to the window and was handed my order of several items without a bag. I checked my order while still parked at the window and of course they had forgotten my pita chips. So I ended up waiting another 10min just for him to come back to the window. Awful experience. Cava, do better. Give this location some attention by training the staff and staffing the shift appropriately. Also, teach your staff some interpersonal skills. read more
