Like a bunch of people, I long awaited the opening of this CAVA location! And I am very much still excited for it even though there have been several areas for improvement during my 4 visits the last week and a half: 1. They always seem to be out of quinoa no matter the time of day. 2. Falafel is often out of stock, and if in stock it is burnt-- almost like it was refried in order to be reheated. 3. Sometimes there seems to be ingredients missing in the hummus and the dressings. I've had very different textures (maybe it's a handling issue?) with my toppings here compared to any other location. 4. The employees do not seem happy and always seem to be arguing. This makes wanting to sit in or order anything else less preferable. I look forward to trying this location several more times to see how things play out! :) read more

Phenomenal. This chain is amazing. This location has some growing pains to work through, but the first weekend proved to be a success in my opinion. Ate there on three occasions, including twice through drive through. Inside, the line was long and the wait was much longer than would be at any other cava. To be fair, the employees were new and the customers too. I'm guessing the customers were asking a ton of questions, slowing up the service. The staff made up for the slowness in their kindness and attitude. The two drive thru pick up orders were both timely and accurate. Not much to say that that. Frederick has needed this for a long time. So happy they opened!! read more

Went here for the first time in a while and forgot how great the food is. I got a bowl with the harissa chicken and vinaigrette dressing and it was SO amazing I forgot to take a picture!! I used to adore cava. Fell in love with it when it came up and I was working in DC. We had good times. But now it's post-covid, so I tried for a delivery. It's nasty. I've only been here twice. First time was fine but yesterday i found a bug stuck to the lettuce. I obviously brought the food back because my order was like 16.00 dollars and i wanted my money back. The employee seemed concerned when i explained to her what was in the food bowl but the manager she brought back to me could care less. He wouldn't even look at the bowl and when i asked about how they cleaned there lettuce he said that they come in bags and they don't wash it. He trashed the food, gave me the refund and offered me another bowl. Why would i want another bowl? He didn't apologize for the situation, never got off his cell phone and when i left he went back outside to continue his conversation. I was a manager once at a restaurant and i know crap happens but you should atleast act like you care so the consumer knows you take the situation seriously. Won't be back. read more

This place has gone downhill. My husband and I love Cava but they are always messing our orders up. I don't even think they have cucumbers because they always leave it off of our bowl. My husband and I ordered online and found ourselves waiting in a drive thru for over 40 min. Once we got to the window our order still wasn't ready. I'm so happy your here! The food and service was amazing. I did notice there is little to no seating or parking. Carrying my tray to eat upstairs was scary as heck. I'm done! They stopped serving beef meatballs and only have lamb. That's fine. But it's an acquired taste. It's very expensive and you're still hungry afterward. You have to ask for a pita triangle. What is is the deal with having to beg for one? I'm so sad because i love their food. Please go back to weighing each person's bowl.... some may need more food and will pay for it. The food is generally still good quality however the flavor has gotten much more salty and the customer service has become poor. Not one time in the last 4 months can the woman first in service line (asking you which greens or grains) get it right. She asked me which rice 3 times, I told her brown rice each time when she asked and she still put white rice and had to start over. Yet she was rude and told me in broken English "Hey! Stop. I listen! ... I Listen." And still asked me which rice....again. I have been a customer since they opened. I have watched management change. Needless to say when the switch happened the quality, diversity, and customer service went with it. It even seems the management got rid of every single black employee and young person to hire Chipotle rejects that don't care for the aforementioned pillars of service. Ordered online with a 5:45 confirmation for my order to be ready. Arrived at drive thru at 5:45. There were 8 cars in line in front of me. I didn't get to the pickup window until 6:45. One hour to serve 8 cars that pre-ordered? When I got to the window, I waited 8 minutes for someone to acknowledge I was there. They lost my order. Had to wait even longer. To me, it doesn't matter how good the food might be, with such poor customer service, I have no plans on returning. read more

This is exactly what customer service looks like. I attempted to use the app which locked me out unfortunately. I had my 2 year old son and dog in the car after a workout. Called the store and explained the situation. Manager said he would take the order over he phone because of my unique situation. It gets better When I get to the pickup window the gentleman handling the food advised that he had no way to take a payment therefore the bowl I ordered was free. I usually don't review chains, but I have not been to a CAVA before and really enjoyed the food and concept! I thought the price was great for what you get (I didn't fill my bowl and it lasted me two meals) and everything was delicious. I knocked off one star because it can be quite overwhelming for someone new to the restaurant and I had to ask each person as I went down the food counter how much I could get at each station. Also the food was listed on the glass, however, it was hard to read and not in line with the food so sometimes you had to double check and ask what things were. read more

this particular restaurant is not a pleasant place to go to at all. I haven't enjoyed going there for sometime because that staff really doesn't care. If you walk in there more interested in getting the mobile orders done. I had to walk in because I got a gift card- I ordered the lentil avocado and for $13 I got half a bowl of food. They use the mini scoop and a handful of salad a spoonful of toasted veggies and 3 falafels. sure if I was a meat eater they would put more on because people were complain. I've been to other restaurants and you leave with an actual salad. I'll use up my gift card but I'm gonna go try another place. Highly disappointed. I was so excited, but I barely got any meat and rice. The portions were way off and inconsistent as the person before me got a large scoop of meat and rice. I loved Cava until yesterday @6:45pm January 10th when a male employee sitting next to the entrance REMOVED HIS MASK AND SNEEZED INTO HIS HAND! The employee was not eating, he was on his phone. As soon as he saw me he immediately put his mask on. I told him that you are not supposed to remove your mask to sneeze and that he should go wash his hands. His response.... nothing, he just looked at me and continued to play on his phone. I spoke to a female manager and she said he's on his break eating and he'll wash before he returns. That is not the point! He was not eating!! Also why sit next to the door where we customers have to go in and out and be exposed to this hazard! Also, he was literally 2 feet away from the hand sanitizer station. My wife and I asked for a refund and when walking to our vehicle the male employee put his finger to his head and did the "you're crazy" motion. Unbelievable!! That lead me to believe that no one, not one employee understood the hazard that just occurred. So, I cannot trust people to make my food who don't understand how germs work. I'm sure he probably pulled his germ filled phone out at some point during the rest of his shift and spread germs all over the restaurant! And to think, it all started out so pleasant, the lady who made my bowl washed her hands and changed her gloves when I made her aware of my Gluten intolerance...too bad I didn't get to enjoy my food. Perhaps employees should not sit near the entrance on their break if they're going to be removing their mask to sneeze. Also, no one, not even at the corporate level seems to understand the hazard here. So just be aware that employees sit on the first floor next to the entrance and sneeze where the food is and that seems to be ok, even though they have an upstairs area where they can stay on their breaks. read more

Cava is amazing. Most delicious food ever! Spicy lamb meatballs for the win! My only complaint is that 2 of the 4 times we have ordered through the app for drive thru pick up, they didn't have our order. Twice! This time the person said she even remembered making it but didn't know what happened to it. I don't know if they're just not being careful when they give people their orders or what, but having this happen twice is super frustrating! read more
