CAVA fills that Mediterranean food gap that I have been seeking in the Perimeter area. The set-up of CAVA is similar to the look of Chipotle-- you build your bowl as you go down the line. You have 5 main things to choose: your base(s), your protein(s), your dips/spreads, your toppings, and then your dressings. They have a good selection of bases, from salad, to grains, to pita. I usually go for the salad base for a healthier option. My go-to protein is the spicy lamb meatball or grilled chicken. The dips I add are tzatziki (greek yoguyrt with shredded cucumber and some spices), harissa (a spicy spread made from tomatoes and peppers), and hummus (chickpeas pureed with tahini, lemon juice, fresh garlic, and kosher salt). I love the toppings area-- there are so many to choose from, such as: lettuce, onions, cabbage, cucumber, crumbled feta, pita crisps (LOVE IT FOR TEXTURE!), olives, and more! I love to add the cucumbers, feta, avacado, tomato+cucumber salad. All great and healthy options too, but still SO filling. Lastly, for the dressing I like the lemon herb tahini and hot harissa vinaigrette! I will say, the few times I went during the lunch hour, they do not have the greatest of logistics for taking on a huge line. The line probably starts around 12 and stays long with quite the wait. They have limited people on the food line--likely due to the hiring shortage, but it naturally makes it longer to get your food for a fast-casual. read more

Came here to pickup dinner for myself and everything was great! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and helped. The people working were very sweet and were pleasant while I placed my order. I had to wait for them to make fresh pita chips, which I didn't mind, but the gentleman in the front offered me a free drink because I had to wait. WOW - I was so excited for this place to open up & I am not disappointed. I did a pickup order and ordered a salad. I did 1/2 falafel and 1/2 roasted vegetables on a bed of romaine and super greens. One of the reasons for a 4-star review is the bowl was missing my falafel, but it was still SO dang good! I hardly minded. The roasted vegetables exceeded my expectations (cauliflower, brussel sprouts, carrots) and the flavor of the roasted red pepper hummus was so delicious and spicy I didn't even end up using my salad dressing. I love how you can customize a bowl/salad/pita exactly how you like it! I am sure the falafel was just missed because they are new and were very busy at lunchtime. My only negative feedback is the manager (or who I believe is the manager) was not very friendly or helpful. I asked how I could add an extra side of protein to my pickup order and she stated I can do it on the app and they'll just put it in the bag with my pickup order and then I said, on the app/website it doesn't allow you to select a side of protein and she said, she didn't know how to work the website. That was it - that was all the help she offered me. I could tell she was very busy and she seemed very overwhelmed, so I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt. But I highly suggest she prioritize customer service and familiarizes herself with her store's website/app so she can better serve customers. I am excited to eat here again and try more things! This location is garbage. It's always something. Their new issue is filling up less than half of the bowl and thinking that charging $15 is gonna fly. I know it's hard to get people to work for companies right now BUT everyone at this current location should be considered for termination. The staff was so rude, unfriendly, and incompetent. I'm shocked. I got charged 17 dollars for a chicken bowl. They barely put anything in it. When I asked about pricing they said their stickers with pricing needed to be updated... that's ridiculous hat they wouldn't honor the pricing that's on their signs. In addition when I asked for rice I read saffron basmati rice which is what I said. Then the lady started to give me brown rice I just kindly asked for the saffron basmati rice again she looked at me made a face then said this is basmati as she was giving me their brown rice option. Downgrading a star from my other review. The service here is so mind-boggling and consistently bad. Just ordered via Uber Eats (Feb. 22, 2022) during a business meeting. My meal, which would've been $11-ish in person, cost $25 and it took nearly two hours to get here. My work is one block away. And the food was cold. That's on top of consistently poor in-line logistics, sometimes unknowledgeable staff (one didn't know what feta was), rude staff about 50% of the time, and unreasonably slow lines. This was a extremely horrible experience. I invited a friend whom had never tried Cava and the customer service was horrible. Outside of not having all the food prepared and one chef cooking very slow the server was very rude. While ordering she rushed myself and my friend down the line. I'll definitely be back to order more of these Mediterranean bowls as they get their store more in order and things start to settle.
