We got two kids meals but were served only one juice and not compensated for the missing one. They were also supposed to have a side of pita chips for each meal, but we received exactly ZERO. I'm glad I finally got to try cava since this location opened recently near work! As a fast casual option, cava can't be beat with the unlimited options. I ordered a grain bowl with falafel and basically everything else that caught my fancy. We did have to wait for the falafel to come out, so they may still be working out the kinks because my expectations for a fast casual place is basically instant gratification! It was worth the wait because the falafel came out nice and warm, but I would also note that I wish more veggie options were available as the protein. You can add sauce on top but my sauce ended up being quite unnecessary because everything else was already quite flavorful, so in the future I'd forgo it or get it on the side. Other than that, I really enjoyed my bowl and the generous portions I was served and think it's a great addition to the area. read more

I have eaten/ordered from here probably 20+ times and not sure what was going on today on a Sunday but whoever made my bowl was awful at it. I didn't get two of the specified dips, meaning it was already a bit lack luster on flavor without either hummus. My "roasted" vegetables were raw, to the point I could barely bite into the brussel sprouts or the sweet potato in it. This is so disappointing as their roasted veggies used to be so good at in this case it seemed like someone threw some raw veggies on the grill for 30 seconds then threw them in my bowl. They also didn't deliver the side of dressing so I spent $15 for a dry, boring bowl of rice and wilted lettuce. Oh, and they added lettuce that I didn't ask for as well (wanted romaine but got a mix?). Not sure what happened to this location but ordering Mezah next time. read more

I am giving this place five stars for several reason. First. I have been to several similar restaurants and they sucked period. When my friends brought me here I protested. BUT to get along I went along. I ordered jasmine rice, pork and some veggies. Fabulous. Everything was super fresh and delicious. My friends really enjoyed their dishes as well although I could never recall all their ingredients. What a great surprise. I pickup from this location at least biweekly, and today I had such a great experience that I had to write my first Yelp review about it. When I go to order in person it's always perfect and delicious, but on a recent online order through the app they forgot to include some integral ingredients to both my and my friend's bowls. I went into the restaurant today and spoke with the general manager, who's name I unfortunately cannot remember, and he went above and beyond to make the situation right. I went here today for the second time ever and I just love it. The first time I came I got a rice bowl and a side of the pita chips. This time I tried the super greens salad with a side of the pita chips. The pita chips are life. I can't get enough of them. I also love how the toppings are unlimited and I can get all the veggies I want. I also like that I can do half protein so half felafel and half roasted veggies. The bowl is always way too much for me to eat in one sitting so I eat half or more for lunch, then the rest for dinner. Get the pita chips though. And eat as is. You're welcome. read more

I usually don't do yep reviews but this just happened so here we go: Great customer service. The rice I liked was out. I asked how long, they said 10 minutes so I said I'll come back. They asked if I'm sure I said yeah, no prob...then I come back just in time. They spoil me. Big amounts of stuff, even with request for extra chicken. And at the end, a guy (manager maybe) said it's on him since I waited and I came back. I was fine still paying since they really spoiled me this time, but he insisted. At that point I can't complain, so I'll say that awesome customer service, even if I didn't feel it necessary, was absolutely worth the entire 5 stars. I'd give more but max is 5. Thanks folks. For a recently opened food joint, the employees were decently well trained (it was my first time there and they answered my questions about the ordering process) and the food was tasty. I made my own bowl and chose from many of the toppings and sauces (certain meats and toppings cost extra). Many thanks to manager Angel for helping me and my family today! We have Celiac disease and any gluten can send us to the hospital. Angel was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable in helping us get delicious food that was safe for us to eat. Angel made sure to use clean gloves and stayed with us through the entire food line. When we wanted lentils (usually a gluten free food), Angel let us know that Cava's lentils are processed with equipment also used to process gluten-containing foods. My lunch was packed with flavor and the service was pretty quick. If you are into the flavorful bowl thing and wanna try something different from Chipotle or Zoes...give this place a try! I make a healthy yet delicious greens and grains bowl with chicken and minimal toppings (no dips or dressings) and feel good about what I'm eating. Pretty decent fast casual Mediterranean food. Even though Chipotle doesn't have labels it's pretty easy to tell what is what. On the other hand, there are so many ingredients at Cava that it's hard to tell what is what. I have to constantly ask the person behind the counter what it is. Cava is a healthy option if you're looking for a fast meal. You can pick between greens and grains, greens or just grains. Then you pick a protein which consists of the lamb meat balls, chicken, and falafel along with all the toppings. I normally get the grains bowl with chicken, crazy feta, beets, red pepper hummus, quinoa, feta, tomatoes and onion, pickled onions. I also get the siracha yogurt dressing on the side. If I go too crazy on the toppings, it ends up not being the best bowl. read more

Mediterranean food here is good, not great. My biggest problem with this place is the lack of labels and information. I am not an expert on Mediterranean food, nor does anyone just know how to order without asking. They had a couple small boards with what they have, but nothing labeling or listing what meats, sides, or extras that come with. I don't mind asking, but it could save some time of things were more informative and labeled. This was my first time here and comparing to other places that serve similar food, this was nothing special. I will say that at this location, every single person that I encountered was very friendly and engaging. I think everyone in the assembly line said "how are you?" Big fan of CAVA and this place is 5min walk from my home. Things were fine when they opened not long ago, few opening issues such as food not being ready on online orders and inconsistent amounts of food. Problem is that the same problems are now worse, an issue if you just want to pick up your online order on the way home. Maybe the manager that used to be there, a semi bald man, needs to be there more. No hellos. They give you two sauces rather than three now, not a big deal but I got a third of a container for the past two times. Not happy! read more

I like CAVA, I work in the area and was so excited when this location opened. My very first visit was wonderful! The portion was nice and the food was good. The place is clean of course (new) and the staff are pretty friendly. I would say I pick up CAVA about 3-4 times a month and always order the Grains bowl. I started to notice my last couple of visits I was getting less food. The first time I noticed it I figured maybe it was because for my protein, I selected the seasonal veggies instead of the usual chicken. But then the time shortly after I ordered the exact same bowl and noticed again that my portion was even smaller :(! I really like the food here but the inconsistency in the food portion is a HUGE disappointment - especially since the price is consistently $10.31. read more

I have never experienced such amazing customer service. After Postmates royally screwed up our dinner order we called Cava to see if there was anything that could be done. The restaurant kindly offered to make us a new bowl that we could pick up free of charge. Unfortunately we weren't able to make it out to the restaurant which was why we ordered postmates to begin with. The manager of Cava German Castellanos took our order and offered to delivery it to us himself(which by the way is not a service they offer) in order to rectify the situation. I am blown away by the level of customer service from this restaurant and will continue to frequent their restaurant. I think they should make it clear that they don't serve white meat, the grain bowl with chicken that I ordered was all thigh and lots of chewy pieces. The other meat options looked burnt. The portions are really small for the price I paid, they have a lot of different toppings but they put so little of each, that it's really like a medium bowl (not small or large). If I could make one chance it would be to lower the price, it's really expensive for what they gave me. read more

I have never written a review but I'm sad about my last 3 visits here. I love Cava but it's pretty obvious the employees didn't have proper training at this location. My first visit, the person working the checkout didn't know how to work the card machine. I felt bad for him because he was struggling and it was obvious he wasn't trained. My 2nd visit, the person started putting random toppings on my bowl because someone accidentally put a pre-order ticket with my bowl, so I had to go to the back of the line and start over. I ordered ahead on my 3rd visit hoping this would be easier, but they forgot my drink cup so I just asked for one. When I got home, I realized they also forgot my Pita Chips which are my favorite. I don't blame the employees for mistakes, I just think whoever manages this place needs to actually train them. The food is fine, just make sure you if you come to this location that you have time to spare and triple check that your order is right! read more

This location is fantastic and always has good service. I usually order here for lunch, but the other day was somewhere else and accidentally sent my online order here. I spoke with Ninfa on the phone who advised they could not cancel my order sadly, but could put it on hold for another day. This was super convenient as I eat at CAVA frequently and when I called back to use that rain check, she knew exactly who I was and what I was talking about. I was able to get the order with ease and no confusion. Definitely would recommend this location if you enjoy CAVA. And they are great with the portions! I have heard and seen other sites be skimpy. The quality of the food may be higher than Chipotle but so is the price. Ultimately it's hit-or-miss on the spices which sometimes don't agree with me later in the day - but that's the risk in trying new things. I won't be back often just because the price makes it compete with other nearby offerings (Big Buns, Rustico, Which Wich) - and that's before the Ballston Quarter (formerly Ballston Mall) redesign is completed and many more options are added.
