Fast-casual for Greek cuisine. Good concept and execution! I stopped in for lunch and got a falafel bowl along with a side of hummus and pita. Service was quick and cheerful. The falafel bowl was piled with lots of veggies (they let you select as many as you want) though it was a bit light on falafel itself (only four smallish pieces). Great carry out or delivery spot! Fresh Mediterranean bowls full of tasty veggies, protein, and rice. We ordered in for lunch, and our order arrived in a timely manner. The chicken was tender, the falafel had a nice crunch, and the pita bread was pleasantly soft and chewy. Ordered the family meal, did not receive any dressing for lettuce, no lemon potatoes at all, only half of the pita breads, no substituted French fries for village salad (which was 3 T in container - approximately 1/5 of the container), rice was 2/3 full, green beans were 1/3 full. Went back to remedy and was given option of more rice or dessert, was charged for extra feta and fries. Just a disaster on an $85 meal we used for a picnic at local park, beyond good flavor. Just had lunch at Simple Greek and had a fantastic experience. Staff was very friendly and personable! They welcomed us in, thanked us for coming, and even checked in on our meal which is impressive for a fast, casual place. I am not used to such high level of customer service for a lunch spot and was very impressed. The level of service provided should be the industry standard! Unfortunately, too often these types of places have rushed and weak customer service. So, hats off to Simple Greek! As for the food we both thought our meals were delicious! My co-worker and I both built our own gyros with gyro meat; I loved mine and love the customizable nature that allowed me to get exactly what I wanted. Greek fries were a hit too. We both agreed we need to come back and bring more of our office staff to try. This place was a great find and will be added to our rotation of good lunch spots! Stumbled upon this spot when going into DC. Quick, very friendly staff and good food. I think the wrap would benefit from being warmed up before assembling, and the shawarma meat would be best if shaved in the moment. Not the best Greek food there is but it does the job. read more

Basically the Greek version of Chipotle. The food here is solid and healthy. Everything seems rather fresh, and the customization nature of the bowls makes it very easy to eat healthy. This is one of those places that you can get take-out from without feeling too guilty - it's a nice feeling, and we definitely need more places like this in the area. That said, as others indicate, the portion sizes can be a bit inconsistent here, and they're sometimes a bit on the small side. It's not uncommon to get a boatload of lentils or peppers but a relatively sad quantity of meat or oil. I suppose that's part of the nature of ordering online - you're not there to specify how much you want - but it can be a bit disappointing at times. read more

The family platter is huge!! It can definitely can feed more than 4 people. The green beans, chicken, and gyro meat were the best parts of the meal. The Simple Greek was almost empty while the neighboring restaurants bustled with customers; I should have taken that as a sign that the 4-star Yelp average was misleading. But the menu sounded appealing, so I went in. Even though no one else was dining in when I got there, I had to scout around for a table that had been cleaned of crumbs from previous diners. I ordered a bowl with lentils as the base. The lentils looked like they'd formed a crust on top when he scooped them out of the warming pan; they'd probably been there for a while. I added falafel, some cucumber, olives, tomato, tzatziki and hummus. Overall it was just ok. The falafel didn't have that crispness with the steamy soft inside that a good, fresh one has. Maybe it had also been sitting too long. The taste of my dish wasn't bad, but it just didn't seem fresh or particularly appealing. I also ordered the Greek Fries. They were ready right away, because the fries were already cooked, being kept in a container. Maybe they were being kept warm or maybe thrown in the microwave to reheat? They were oily and limp -- you know, the way fries get when they are overdone and turn translucent and brown. Feta cheese and some barely discernible oregano were sprinkled on top. I ate about a third of the fries before I realized they were giving me no pleasure in exchange for the calories, so the rest went in the bin. Decided on a bowl (you start off with either a pita or a bowl) with lentils and traditional gyro meat, garlic green beans (loved these) and selected my add-ons (tomato/cucumber mix, butter pepper and kalamata olives). Added a dolma to boot. Given that it was opening day decided to treat myself to the rizogalo (rice pudding) as well for desert which was exceptionally fresh tasting. Wow. The entire meal was great and I look forward to sampling through the rest of the menu. The gyros look and smell amazing. . . The atmosphere is clean and airy; staff is cheery; location has a parking lot; service was efficient, taking me just a couple of minutes to get through my order. The place is spotless and the servers were more than happy to answer all my many questions and let me taste some of the optional sauces before deciding. I also like that they have a loyalty program that works with your phone number and a offer military discount. I got a bowl with mostly greens and sliced lamb which can see turning on the rotisserie. As a business in Arlington we order catering every Friday for the office and this place is always a 10/10 and a place all of our employees LOVE! The manager, David, is always so kind and helpful- he sent us a Baklava Cheesecake this week and IT IS A MUST TRY! Yia-yia's House Party pack is the way to go if you have 10+ people! I'm torn between giving this place 3 or 4 stars; we ordered last night and the food was good and the price was reasonable (about 30$ for two entrees, a side, and delivery.) That being said, they messed up both our orders; my boyfriend ordered a chicken pita wrap and they sent him a salad bowl (with the same ingredients), and I ordered a falafel salad bowl which was missing at least one topping, mpita bread, and only had two pieces of falafel. The falafel was also pretty disappointing - very dry and not spiced all that well. We enjoyed our meals and will probably order again, but with lowered expectations of the accuracy of our orders. Update 5/31: A manager reached out to me after my initial review and we ordered again (takeout this time.) Again, the food was satisfying and reasonably priced, and the customer service I received in-store was fantastic. Was ok... Rather disappointing. The beef was dry. The fries were old and and green beans tasted as if they were canned. The rice pilaf was just plain rice. We ended up throwing out the beef and green beans. I wish them luck though. They had no one sitting in or out of the restaurant whilst the other restaurants next to them were bustling with clientele. I love greek food but The Simple Greek can do a lot better! We've received catering from here for our office a few times during the last quarter of 2022 and are very disappointed. We have had excessively salty green beans, salty rice, and undercooked rice on more than one occasion. The last time we got food was this week and the salad was also bad: all tomatoes seem to have been prepped a few days before, looked dull, and were soggy. Please consider improving your offerings to the community as your menu is excellent but the quality leaves desiring for a lot more. read more

I ended up ridiculously washing off the fries when I got home because I really wanted fries with my sandwich but, like I said, I don't eat cheese. Having said that, their food is good! The first thing I noticed is like a fellow Yelper said, this restaurant is set up like a Chipotle. Adding the ingredients to the bowl was fun as there were plenty of options and all looked really fresh. The staff was very friendly. When I was driving here, I was wondering which special I should get, the bogo or free fries, and I opted for the fries because I was just feeling it that day. I was asked if I wanted greek fries or regular fries. I had no idea what greek fries were, but when the waitress explained that it is a heaping of fries with garlic salt, feta, oregano and red wine vinegar, I figured I'd try it. The entire meal did look healthy and fresh, but for some reason I was just not blown away by the meal, maybe it was because I was comparing it to a bowl from Mezeh that I had a few days earlier. The bowl was good and everything tasted fresh, while the greek fries were definitely interesting--I liked them overall but felt they were a little too heavy.
