Think chipotle meets Mediterranean... but way better and healthier. We actually had Cava delivered to us and this is our first time trying it. In general I personally think that the food experience is better when you dine in so next time we will definitely try Cava in person. My daughter ordered the wrap with the chicken and hummus. She loved it and said the chicken was tender not dry at all. The rest of us ordered different bowls with all of our customize preferences. There were no complaints by the hubs or the kids so that is always a plus. Unfortunately GrubHub arrived at Cava and our food wasn't ready yet so we ate a little later than expected. By the time we got our food everyone was so hungry that I didn't get to take any pictures. Another reason we will have to try it again. Things to note: - The spicy chicken wasn't very spicy but was good. - The meatball was tender and not dry at all and I would definitely order it again. - The eggplant dip was not the traditional baba ghanouj that I am used to so I probably wouldn't order that again. - For the price of the bowl, there are actually lots of options of sides and toppings without additional charge, always a plus! read more

Drove 45 mins here with yelp and google saying it was open until 10pm. Came at 9:10pm and they said they were closing because they were understaffed but had 5 employees working. Another couple tried to come in but they denied them as well. We came back the next day to give them a second try but were underwhelmed. The food overall was good but they were out of multiple toppings and didn't give us a pita bread. Also, the place was filthy. There was food all over the tables, trash was overflowing, thus leaving trash all over the floor. This place is not well kept. Not to mention the place was freezing!! It was warmer outside. Won't be coming back to this location. Sticking to the Irvine location. The employees didn't seem happy either. read more

Manager need to train better there crew to know about the desert been observing no one in the crew ask if you want to try are dessert . My partner and I love this place, which is a bit like a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, where you can choose from a variety of toppings to build your bowl. Definitely our default place to eat at when we're not sure what to eat for the night. We typically skip the pita sandwich and go straight for the bowl, choosing chicken as the main protein and then loading up on toppings. Some of our favorites include the pickled onions, cucumber, and roasted street corn, and we always make sure to add plenty of tzatziki sauce. Pretty much all the veggies and toppings are really good here, but what really sets Cava apart is the selection of sauces - we love the lemon herb tahini, yogurt dill, and garlic, which also makes a great dip for the pita they serve with the bowl. Cava also offers some great drink options. The mint lemonade is a personal favorite, and they have a good selection of other refreshing beverages as well. Best of all, the prices are quite reasonable, which is always a plus. While Cava is a pretty well-known chain now, it's currently my favorite fast-casual restaurant chain. Healthy, fresh and delicious! This is the Mediterranean version of a build as you go concept. Everything is already prepared, so you simply choose a base (greens, grains, or a mix), add on protein, pick out some toppings and choose a sauce. They have a really interesting assortment of toppings, including some pickled vegetables that really add a lot of flavor. Their drinks are amazing too - both the teas and lemonades are delicious! I personally love this place a lot, but honestly the menu isn't appealing for kids. If they added some more appealing options for kids, I'd probably come here more often! read more

Disappointed!! I understand that due to the current times there are shortages in the supply chain, but be transparent with your customers. If you are limited with menu options let customers know before they place their order. That way we have the ability to leave and go somewhere else if we choose. You may lose a couple orders, but at least then the people who choose to be shorted on their orders know versus being frustrated and hungry with an incomplete meal. Pre-Covid I've had issues at this location, but was willing to give them another chance. Since I do like this restaurant chain, I'll just have to try another location and hope for better service and communication. read more

Don't think my family will be coming back here anytime soon. We came in last night around 8PM after a long work day only to find out that they were out of over half of their toppings when it wasn't even busy inside. I don't understand how you can be out of so many items when it's not even close to closing time. This wasn't told to us at the start of creating our bowls or we would have never ordered in the first place. They offered us an additional pita which I thought was completely laughable. In a time where food prices are drastically increasing and it costs over $30 for 2 bowls and a child's meal make sure you have ingredients available for your customers!!!! read more

GROSSLY Mismanaged: First of all, the good news: my greens and greens bowl was ample and delicious. I appreciated the option to have vegan entrées. Now, the bad: The restaurant was dirty, tables had not been bussed, the floor was dirty, and they were out of straws. And one of our food servers was not wearing plastic gloves. Additionally, the women's room was unclean with no toilet paper in either stall, and it was also missing paper towels. Staff members seemed stressed, unhappy, and not very friendly. Because of the number of people who kept coming through the line, I have to assume that they were severely understaffed and this was a really OFF day for this restaurant. However, despite the good food, it's the kind of day a restaurant cannot afford to have too many of if they want to remain in business. I really hope they literally clean up their act. If they do, I would go back, but not until then. read more

All the food is delicious and the drinks taste great. The employees are quick and serving your order. Sometimes the tables are dirty when we are trying to find a place to sit so they might need to have someone on that duty all the time. I go at least every week. I also have their app. And I use their point system to get $ off. You just scan your earn. Try it if you haven't. They don't disappoint read more

Two stars because it's CAVA and CAVA is just amazing, but this location not to much. They were out of rice, pita chips and the restaurant is super dirty. The drink/in house lemonade containers were dirty and two were empty with no sight of any of the employees coming to fill them up. Hariissa, harissa, harissa me not....HARISSA! If you have a penchant for something spicy, ya gotta try the harissa. I thought I knew my food, but I had to google it. It's a North African hot chili pepper paste. It adds the perfect punch to your decently healthy bowl. I have to admit that I don't love the movement towards assembly line food. It takes the "art" out of culinary arts, and hence, I feel it jeopardizes what could potentially happen to food. How utterly banal would it become if the assembly line food movement really took off...beyond how it already has! It's a dangerous and slippery slope. So I went into CAVA skeptically. Well, I'm happy to report CAVA gets an exemption. The selection seems very well thought out, and all the ingredients marry beautifully. Like a symphony in your mouth! Too far? Okay, perhaps not a symphony, but it's an excellent healthier quick lunch option! Choose your base of greens or grains, choose three dips (hummus and the like), protein, toppings, and dressing. I got a Greens and Grain bowl with Supergreens and brown basmati rice, the aforementioned harissa, roasted pepper hummus, and maybe something eggplanty, chicken, all the fresh toppings (my favorites are the Kalamata olives and the cauliflower quinoa tabbouleh) with the lemon herb tahini, and no pita chips. The ingredients are fresh, clean, and very well planned and prepared....by someone who knows food. Equally as important, all the offerings are immaculately presented. And as such, CAVA gets a pass for partaking in the assembly line food movement! But please, all future food establishments, let's not Chipotle everything to death. Wow wee first time eating here at Cava and we weren't sure what to expect but the food is fantastic here. Upon walking in our customer service server guided us through the process and it's kinda like going to a Chipotle and just telling them what you want in your bowl. I got extra heck ya i got chicken, meatballs, spicy lamb meatballs and whatever else i could put on it to make it spicy. My did close to the same but minus the lamb meatballs.
