I love cattle dog coffee- I buy beans regularly there.. I love the Inverness and Crystal river locations- I however have been to the forest ridge location only to be met with the same problem repeatedly- the rude blonde manager.. she clearly has no use for me and is never polite or courteous.. maybe I'm not buying enough other stuff in her mind.. idc people shouldn't be treated that way- she doesn't even thank you at the end..js.. I'll continue to go just not to that location.. read more

We were in their new location near the square in Inverness. The space is fantastic! Open, clean and welcoming. The customer service is terrific. My friend had a drink that she didn't care for. The staff insisted on making something else for her. Which was completely satisfying! Cold brew is so smooth and good. I bought a bag of midnight express for my home brew. It smells fantastic. I was very excited to try this coffee shop. I do a lot of computer work and reading at coffee shops and usually have to go to Ocala or even Gainesville to find a good one. So when I found out about this place, I was stoked. I wasn't disappointed when I got there. The shop has plenty of seating, including some outside tables. The decor of the shop was awesome, a lot of DIY signs and old coffee bean bags under the glass on the tables, I really enjoyed it. Along the right wall is a huge assortment of coffee beans that you can purchase to take home, and if you need it they can grind it for you. The menu was great, very extensive options and flavors for coffee drinks both cold and hot, there were many options for food as well. My girlfriend has a gluten free allergy and she said her white chocolate and strawberry gluten free muffin was one of the most delicious she had ever had! The staff was wonderful, the girl who helped us was very friendly and quick and she even made conversation while waiting for our latte to be prepared. When my girlfriend asked about gluten free products, she went into the back to make sure she hasn't left out any options. Here's where the fifth star got knocked off: there are no available outlets to use. When I asked about one, I was told they were all burnt out. Although there is free wifi, you have to have a fully charged computer and a productive mindset. I was racing against the clock to get my work done. Huge disappointment for me, as coffee shops are my favorite places to get work done. I will definitely be coming back, the shop is right down the road from my house and my coffee was delicious, but it'll be more for quick visits rather than making it my go-to for slower days. ****Updated Review**** So, my love for Cattle Dog still stands, but I have to say that the past three times I've gone in have been disappointing. There is one particular barista, I unfortunately do not know her name, that always seems like she is living her worst day. She is rude and lifeless and makes me feel like I'm disturbing her peace when I walk in. She also overcharged me and when I asked about it she raised her voice at me. Service can be slow when it's crowded. It's normally a maximum of two people work behind the counter.

Best coffee ever!! I visit the one located in Hernando. I didn't know they served sandwiches, salads, and pastries too. A very delightful place. Cattle Dog's coffee is a nicely brewed coffee, a very smooth coffee. Not burnt or bitter like a well known chain! It must be from marketing not quality! Cattle Dog's coffee is far better coffee. I had a caramel latte and the barista was very knowledgeable, sweet and fast & professional. We struck up a conversation and she was telling me about the coffee and the learning process. I believe her name was "Ali" but not sure. I do hope they have outside tables this spring it would be a nice place to go in the evening. They also sell bagged & "k-cup" coffee so in the future, I will buy coffee for my morning expresso at them. They are very reasonably priced and the establishment was was clean and pleasant. To start with all the staff is so friendly and clean cut, they give great service ! it's one of of those places where everyone knows your name when you walk in. The drinks are incredible and fairly priced ! All the ingredients are fresh and all the beans there are roasted in house! They also boast a nice selection of loose leaf tea as well. Not only that but their menu is original and is crafted for foodies. On top of all that the place is one of the cleanest I've seen I suggest it to anyone passing through or local. read more

Stopped in the Hernando location to grab my husband a Nitro Cold brew, I was disappointed that it came from a container in the fridge and not fresh. My husband said it tasted watered down didn't have a strong coffee flavor. Definitely not worth the $5 we paid. The owner rudely commented on my Facebook review and said instead of slamming them to speak with someone first and I must have not know what I ordered I don't feel as if I slammed them instead gave an honest review. Do you want to contract covid? Then head to cattle dog on norvell Bryant. The narrow space crowded at 10am today with only one out of maybe 20 customers wearing a mask besides myself. It is irresponsible on the part of cattle dog to jam people in close proximity forcing workers to be surrounded by non mask wearing customers. The customer behind me on line was within 2 feet of me with a deep hacking cough. It is the last time I risk my health for a vanilla latte - if cattle dog will not enforce masks I am not spending my money there. I can go to DD for a safe drive through experience! read more

OMG, just stopped back into Cattle Dog Today for a quick bite and to see what was new. They had just got a new shipment of coffee green beans , man was it impressive they had over 20 large bags from around the world check out their new Menu. I learned today that change there menu every 3 months. So not only do the change out there coffee beans from time to time. ( which btw they roast on property on a little blue Roaster in the back room. They change out the menu options. So today I tried the Vietnamese Chicken lettuce wrap. It's romaine lettuce cup with cold jasmine rice a mango sauce on top of the rice then this awesome chicken mixture with a Chinese 5 spice mixture, then drizzle with with a banging sauce they call a cilantro chili lime sauce. It was an awesome experience. Rice was softened sticky like sushi rice. As always the staff was professional, quick and very informative. The take pride it what they do because if a concern is brought to them they do jump to correct it saw that the last time I was here. Today Kathleen, Ali, and Alexis did a great job even got me to try some of there SULAWESI sample today. O yes they mentioned most days they do an " Alternative Brewing " of the brew of the day so you can experience the coffee in a different way! This location is small but damm do they do a lot . We go to this Cattle Dog because it is close to home. The coffees are also hot and delicious and the staff is super friendly. My wife usually gets a muffin or danish and I enjoy the sandwiches. The menu is small but it changes every so often for some divercity. Although the place is small it is cozy and has tables outside for those brave enough to stand the heat. Cattle Dog has an amazing assortment of coffee and will ship them anywhere. They also have K Cups. Highly recommended and 10 stars if possible. read more

Great coffee! I stopped by here earlier this year and it's such a cute coffee shop! I ordered an Iced Chai and it was delicious! Sat for a few minutes at one of the tables and just enjoyed the ambiance of the place. I was disappointed in what I witnessed in this location. A group of guys walked in, waited in line patiently and when they got up to the counter they politely asked the woman at the register to please pull her mask up properly. Over her nose. She declined. They asked again. She went and got the owner, who came out telling the guys (very loudly) that she was perfectly within guidelines and they needed to leave. All because they politely asked the woman to properly wear her mask while they were at the register ordering and she was making their drinks. I don't think it's too much to ask that the people making orders or serving customers do their part to help stop the spread of this virus. I won't support a business that kicks out customers for politely asking that. read more

A nice touch for Citrus County. I travel to Citrus County often for work, and often enough that I have learned to leave early from Orlando to avoid traffic!!! Which means arriving bright and early!! I am by no means an addict of Starbucks but I appreciate good tasting coffee/espresso. So with a lack of a Starbucks in the County, I am not a Dunkin Donuts coffee fan, finding this locale with a nicely brewed coffee was a nice surprise. The coffee beans used for their drinks are good and of a better than normal quality, which makes for good tasting coffee. The staff has always been very nice and friendly. The store itself is not huge but offers room for sitting, so if you're not in a rush, sitting down to enjoy a meal, is a good option to have. I haven't tried any of their food yet, but I am curious to pick up a breakfast sandwich next time. read more

I really enjoyed this place when I came to visit a friend who has recently moved to Florida. I am used to LA style coffee bars, which are pretentious but they make an amazing coffee. This place does not disappoint. I ordered a dirty chai latte and it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. So many people are used to the over sugared Starbucks stuff now a days we've all forgotten to love that sweet bitterness of espresso. They got the dirty chai right, with the right amount of sweetness that didn't overwhelm the spice of the chai or the punch of the espresso. Nice little coffee shop that used to be in Crystal river. I tried the nitro cold brew, and the chemex coffee and both were great. It's beginning to look like autumn was a good blend and the Italian soda (blackberry) was pretty darn good. Small place though and the air conditioning couldn't keep up so it was a bit hot.
