We were travel on I-75 and the turnpike heading to Orlando and we decided we wanted some good coffee. My wife looked up coffee shops in the area and The Standard came up and had great reviews! I got a small Lumber Jack Latte (almond, cinnamon, caramel). It was VERY good and one of the best latte I've had. My wife got a small Gingerbread Man Latte (gingerbread and white chocolate). The staff were super friendly and very helpful! Thank you for making us a great latte! The only negative was the place is HARD to find!!! We drove around for 10 minutes trying to find it and almost gave up. The map said "you are here"... I said "no we are not lol".... I then looked over at the hospital and noticed the small sign for The Standard on the building. Honestly glad we didn't give up because both lattes were great and worth the challenge of finding the shop! I stayed in the truck next to the hospital while my wife went inside to get the lattes. I know what you're thinking "you are crazy for spending that time trying to find it when you should have been on the road trying to get to where you were going!" Well I agree but we both like coffee and we both recommend you pull off the interstate and get some of the best hidden gem coffee in the area! * I would give 5 stars for the coffee but dropped a star for the aggravation of locating the place. read more

Nice folks, bright clean place, but too pricey for me. This place straddles a hotel and a large medical building. I and others got a coffee to burn time waiting to pick someone up from an appointment. There is a nice large outdoor seating area adjacent to this business. The coffee tasted good, it just cost too much. read more

The drink options are extensive with blender, iced and hot options. I am now obsessed with the Matcha Green Tea Blended with whole milk! Delicious! There are a variety of delicious and homemadfood and snack options too! It's a great place for the location and ambience, and the staff are so friendly. I often go after Zumba class with a group of girlfriends, and it's the best place to sit and chat outside in the courtyard (between Brownwood Hotel and the Advanced Healthcare bldgs) YaY! read more

An oasis from the coffee chains of Dunkin' and Starbuck! I had the yummy Chai Pumpkin and enjoyed a conversation with the owner and staff. They have pastries and to go snacks as well. Park in between the hotel and hospital and it's in the middle courtyard. read more

The service was fine. But it is the worst coffee I've ever had! I had cream added and my coffee was lukewarm. It was bitter and sour. My husband had no cream and said his black coffee was sour too so I know it wasn't the cream. read more

The coffee shop was difficult to find as it wasn't indicated anywhere that the shop was at the Brownwood Hotel and Spa. The shop itself was not very inviting with little atmosphere. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The coffee menu was extensive. The coffee was good but not anything special. read more

Been trying to go to this coffee shop for close to 3 years now since it's the closest to me....terrible coffee. I most certainly am not a coffee snob either. Everything from their black coffee to frappes leave a terrible aftertaste. I've heard this from coworkers as well. Not sure why others haven't written a review like this yet. Hoping it will change(not likely since they've been open almost 3 years and never changed) but fingers crossed because I'd like to be able to drink good coffee at the closest shop to me. read more
