Really good. Good ambiance. Good tasting food. Pleasant staff. Zero complaints. I'd visit again.

Catira is a really unique, delicious Venezuelan restaurant with high quality, well priced food and great service. I've been there twice now and like that you can get a smaller entree (still plenty of food) for a good price. I really like their signature cocktail "Catira", not too sweet and complements their food really well. The last time I went I ordered the cheese empanada, and my son ordered the place with tostones and beef. The service is great, and our server even apologized to us (she initiated this) for the food taking a long time to come out. It did not seem like too long for me, but I appreciated the comment as the restaurant was busy that night. It made me very aware that she wanted us to have a great customer experience. They refilled my son's soda multiple times and service was top notch!

Great spot! I wasn't real familiar with Venezuelan food aside from the occasional arepa but this place is solid and I highly recommend. Go here. Do it. Right meow

Tostones, Empanada Clásica, Arepa Blondie, arepa clásica, Classic Plate with chicken

We ordered takeout from Catira and definitely will be coming back. We tried the tostones, empanada clásica, arepa blondie, arepa clásica, and the classic plate with chicken. Everything was so flavorful; it's hard to pick a favorite. I think though mine was the empanada clásica. I also really loved the salsa that came with the tostones. Definitely recommend Catira!

You know, we had a really good experience here. Growing up in South Florida with Cuban grandparents, the style of food felt very similar to what I ate as a kid. The arepas were stuffed, fresh, and delicious, and the cachapa was just as good as everyone says. They also have plenty of great custom cocktails. If I had one critique, it would be that we felt slightly rushed to order and turn the table. I understand people are often in a hurry because of the comedy club nearby, but we weren't. That said, we will definitely be back and wish them lots of success. Fun atmosphere!!

Monalisa drink - I'm a mezcal gal and love anything guava. It tasted as good as I imagined

I loved the mini empanadas, you can get multiple to taste different ones and not stuff yourself The tequeños were also delicious. My husband had the Pabellón Criollo and ate it so fast, didn't leave a crumb lol I love mezcal and guava so I had to try the Monalisa cocktail, and it was perfection. The decor is so cute and lovely. The waiters were very prompt with orders and friendly. Really nice place! Too bad I live in downtown Denver or I'd come more often.

Please, please get the Cachapa with Beef here!! Do yourself a favor and listen to me! This dish was the bomb! The saltiness of the beef blended perfectly with the sweetness of the Cachapa! You need both to have that flavor bomb!! I would definitely come back just for this dish!

Mini Empanadas (5PC), Arepa Bebesota, brunch Cachapa, and pastry of the day!

Brunch was fantastic! Catira is already a favorite but we came back for their first day of brunch and it did not disappoint! Yummy food and a mimosa cooler(!) - a must go!

Came here at the tail end of happy hour on a Monday with our infant and friends and had a great time! I made a reservation due to wanting to make sure there was a table to accommodate our stroller but for that day/time it probably wasn't needed. Our server was very sweet, attentive and personable and the decor was fun and unique. They also had outdoor seating available which seemed popular. No food specials for HH but we did take advantage of the 2 catira cocktails for $15 which were refreshing and perfect for a summer evening. I'm a one cocktail kinda gal these days so my second bevvie was passionfruit juice and oh man... delicious. My husband had the el jefe (think old fashioned with rum) which was also quite good. The food really shines here and I'm obsessed. We started with the tequeños and cachapa and were not disappointed. Our party ordered a number of different arepas and empanadas and I heard only good feedback, though if you're hungry and thinking you'll eat 3+, it won't be a cheap meal. Personally I had the clásica arepa with guasacaca (I'm a sucker for plantains) which seemed to be the overall winner and caribeña empanada with cilantro garlic. Everything came out quickly and was hot n' fresh. I have only one complaint about my experience and it's that there were no changing tables in either bathroom. Luckily our little one didn't need to be changed, but I'm not sure what we would've done if there was a need. I feel like this would be a low cost improvement that would make parents exceedingly happy. I'd love to come back, but this will make me hesitate a little given the inconvenience.

My first time eating Venezuelan. A bunch of their dishes resemble Mexican with a different twist. The restaurant has nice inviting decor. Our server Kenna was super nice and attentive. We ordered the táquenos which tasted like cheese sticks with a different outer texture. We also ordered the chicken arepa which tasted like a Gordita. It was very tasty. Lastly we got the Quesillo for dessert which was like flan. I also got a mango margarita which was pretty strong. Very good food for the price.

My husband and I were craving Venezuelan food--specifically tequeños and cachapas--so we found a spot about 25 minutes from our house and decided to give it a try. Safe to say, it was an amazing decision. This place is the real deal . I love how they make Venezuelan food feel approachable and shareable. We ordered tequeños, empanadas (the chicken was our favorite), a cachapa, and tostones--and everything was incredible. The tequeños were probably the highlight for me: perfectly crispy with light, fluffy cheese that was bursting with flavor. I'm already planning to go back to try the salads and cocktails. The owners are kind and hardworking, the food is phenomenal, and the whole place gives off tropical beach vibes that instantly reminded me of everything I love about Venezuela.

I was beyond excited hearing Catira- a Venezuelan restaurant- was coming to the Texh Center. Decor is bright and vivid, music is Bad Bunny, and food is AMAZING!!!! We got tequenos (fried cheese in breading), a blonde arepa (chicken and Gouda cheese) and the corn/cheese pancake. All was sooooo tasty! There's a patio too. This will definitely be a spot to visit in the summer months.

Catira is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant with a really nice outdoor seating area. They have something for all food allergies and preferences with fantastic menu labeling. The patacones are perfectly fried and flattened plantains that make the best vessel for all of the sauce options at Catira. I adore the Americana empanada that features impossible meat and makes an incredibly satisfying gluten free vegetarian meal. I recommend ordering the mini empanadas so you can try them all! And don't skip out on the sauces!

When I let our server know about the allergy restrictions in our group, since the menu was family style, she was a little snippy and said it wouldn't be an issue. Fortunately, our group has navigated this before so we were able to make appropriate choices. There were a few patrons seated in the area with us, but it did not appear overly busy. Our drink orders did take longer than usual to arrive, so we either had to flag down our server to order another beverage, get water refills, or stack our orders. Food, overall, was good. There were some hits and misses for me. Miss- raja corn chile relleno. It had an odd bitter taste and no heat. Hits- green curry coconut shrimp ceviche. Delicious with the right amount of heat and sweetness. Colorado lamb, simply seasoned with coriander and perfectly roasted, paired with seasonal vegetables charred to perfection and pumpkin seeds on top, yum! We were definitely full and had plenty of food to pack up to take home. Note: Work & Class menu changes as it is seasonal and based on fresh ingredients, but many of the meat and side choices remain the same.

This place is a hidden gem! There's a lot of things going for it…read more Drinks- quality and consistency of great drinks. They have an amazing happy hour and a good drink program which specializes in classic cocktails, wine and beer. Every drink reaches a gold standard for the industry. Sunday's is customer appreciation and you get first drink free! Ambience: this place is amazingly clean and comfortable. Plenty of cushy chairs and couches, dimly lit and even though they have TVs, the focus is on a chill playlist and not a blaring sports bar atmosphere. My kinda place! Yelp's weekly suggestions are some spot-on and timely. Had it not been for one of them I recently…read morereceived, I don't think I would discover this hidden bar. Its overall chicness in a spacious lounge-style room immediately cooled me down once I arrived (on the day I visited after work, the temperature outside was soaring in upper 80's.) The time was around 4:45pm. If I am not mistaken, their happy hour is 3-5pm. I thought I was in the middle of the HH rush but there were still plenty of seatings available and yet the place was nowhere near empty. And yet, I found just the right spot so I would be away from all the chatters emitting from the people mainly sat at the bar. The selections for wine (red and white) as well as the tap beers are quite the variety. During the HH time, the drinks are only $5 for beer on tap, well mules, wells spirits and any wine on tap. For a chic/elegant/upscale place such as this place, this pricing offer is extremely generous. I simply couldn't think of anything other than refreshing cold white wine so after getting a little suggestion from my wonderful waiter, I went with the Angeline Sauvignon Blanc (the regular price is $12 so I saved $7.) As much as I am a wine person, I don't go by the rigid rules. White win should generally be served between 45°F and 55°F (7°C to 13°C) and yet at home I chill my (white) wine in the freezer for a bit so it will be super cold. This is a must for me. And to my surprise, when they served me the Sauvignon Blanc it was pretty close to the super chill temperature I am used to. As if they read my mind, I was quite surprised and happy with the cold crisp white wine. It was a quick stop to have a little "after work" cocktail on the way home so I didn't get any food and yet that crisp chilled white wine I was served instantaneously made me a big fan of this cocktail lounge. When I asked my waiter when the place opened. He said it opened in 2019. I simply couldn't believe it. If it's been around for this long but the fact that I recently heard about it stunned me. And if I am not mistaken, the waiter said that another location is about to open in a different area in the Denver metro. It's nice to know that this business is thriving. Good for them.
