Where do I begin? I was looking for a new massage place to…read morego to. I didn't particularly like the last one I went to. I found Vive on Yelp. I looked at the prices and they were a little higher than other places I found. When I looked at the reviews, I could see why. Vive appeared to know what they were doing. I made my appointment online. Easy peasy. I get a phone call the next day. Oh no, are they going to reschedule me? No indeed. They were asking me about the medications I was on, my medical history and what I was looking for in a massage. I was impressed. Never have any of my massage companies asked me all this information. My massage was today and I went in. Nice looking office and waiting area. They have a parking lot. Place was clean, personable ladies at the desk. They took me to a separate waiting area that was dim and relaxing. I filled out a form with all my information. Orion came out and brought me in. I would say she sat with me a good 10 minutes, discussing my history and asking questions. Then she asked again about what pressure I wanted. She was very vocal about telling me if the pressure is too hard to be sure to let her know. What I experienced was wonderful. She had a nice firm touch and seemed to take a lot of time doing what she needed to do. By the time I was done, I was really relaxed. Since this was my first time with Vive I only purchased one session. I intend to purchase a package and return often. It was nice to get a senior discount.

Receptionist pursuit to sale these memberships saving --- where I definitely remember her stating you can pause it anytime - the service will not expire and will stay on the account. I'm a busy mother working from home full time, breastfeeding, and caring for my child thus no time to treat myself so I pause my membership after 3 months. Now that I came back to the business because I'm almost due again in June to treat myself. The receptionist not only denied of my credit but print out a statement (highlighted for me to see) -- that should've been highlighted to begin with for clients -- these service will expire after 12 months. This is such a shame for a business to do this especially when it's a treat for someone to do these services and it wasn't like I'm asking it for free. These are services I paid in advance and it was misleading to not inform your receptionist to emphasize on the terms instead of making a sale that's it's never expire and will remain on the account. I had a peace of mind signing up for the membership knowing I can use it anytime and knowing my right. I not only walk away from the business feeling unappreciated and cheated but also upset by the way it was informed back to me why the service expired by throwing a printout and highlighted the terms and conditions. The cozy slippers were a nice touch! My massage therapist took the time to ask about my concerns (stiff shoulders and neck) and checked in throughout to make sure the pressure was right. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, dim lighting, peaceful music, and even a heated table. By the end, I sincerely felt so much better. I left a vm at 5:30am for my 4:30pm appointment. I told them I was sick and didn't want to get anyone there sick. They told me I'd be charged $30, and it could go towards my next service. A few days later, I was charged $30 without my consent. The owner has specified that the $30 would go towards my next service. So I'm not sure why they charged my card. I'm not planning to return, it's not run very well. I'll travel further for better service.

Since the cancellations were within 24 hours of the appointments, I understood there would be a fee. Per their policy, I expected a $30 charge for each late cancellation. This was our first time ever needing to cancel on short notice. To my surprise, not only did they charge my card $60, but they also charged my daughter another $60. I don't recall ever giving consent to keep my card on file, let alone to be charged like this. The way they handled this situation was unprofessional, and this experience has definitely left a bad taste. We won't be returning.
