Cathedral is a a good choice in the neighborhood. We love the open air concept. There's cozy room inside, or great tables outside. We got our orders in quickly. The coffee was pretty good, it was definitely a darker roast than I was expecting, but the flavors were pleasant. Nice location, good service, good coffee

Lots of great places to sit and work and outdoor seating choices. Ordered an iced vanilla latte which was average. The bakery items looked really good will have to try next time.

Cathedral is a delightful coffee shop roasting their own beans, serving delicious food, and crafting quality drinks. It's definitely a locals spot which was nice, because there was open seating during the week to relax, escape the rain, and enjoy a cup of coffee. I ordered the cortado while my husband had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. They had a steady stream of customers to keep them busy and I can see why. The drinks were very nicely made, had a smooth taste, not bitter going down, and not overly sweet on the latte.

My partner and I were visiting the area for our anniversary and came to this coffee shop every day! The coffee is by far the best in the area and the inside is so cozy and cute. Our baristas were so nice and made us the best drinks! We will definitely come back when we're back in town. 10/10 recc

I was visiting Portland and decided to try Cathedral Coffee as it was in the area of the disc golf course my boyfriend was playing. It's located in a cute neighborhood and has ample parking. There is a cute patio area for when the weather is nice and plenty of seating inside. Upon entering, there was a line that was moving at a pretty steady pace, but while I was waiting for my drink it never seemed to end, so this is a pretty popular spot! I am extremely picky with Chai lattes as they are often either really watery and/or lacking in spice. After reading a lot of positive reviews for the Chai here, I decided to give it a try. The barista described it as a spicy, but still sweet Chai, which I feel was spot on. It has the creamy subtle sweetness that I look for in a good Chai latte, while still delivering on the warming spices. I didn't try any of the pastries, although they all looked delicious! This is a super cute coffee shop that is perfect for remote work or just a casual meetup. If you are in the area, definitely give it a try!

If I still lived in Portland, I would move to St. John's for this coffee shop! It's so special. The coffee is some of the best in Portland, and the staff here are so friendly and thoughtful! Miraculously, there is always seating available, and it's so cute and cozy! They have both outdoor and indoor seating areas. Plenty of outlets for working too. This place reminds me of what Portland felt like when I moved here 10 years ago, and it makes me so happy. :)

The extremely cozy and twee interior is lowkey worth it alone. But staff was super nice and coffee great! Fairly convienant if traveling by trimet, with bus stops right in front of the shop. A bit out of the way if you're coming from downtown but worth it

Cathedral Coffee is a hidden gem--great brews, peaceful vibes, and a perfect local hangout.

Lousy customer service from unprofessional staff. I would not trust what they put in my drink.

Yummy matcha oat milk latte. I wish they had more gluten-free options that were also free of dairy and nuts.

I got a chai latte, the breakfast sandwhich with a poached egg, and three pastries the cardamom ocean roll, lemon twist, and the pistachio croissant. Everything was really delicious and I especially applaud the Ocean Roll. I've never had something so cardamom-y and it was quite a stand out. The only thing I would change at all is that my croissant was a tad bit over toasted but it was still good! The staff was nice and there was a chill atmosphere. We felt very comfortable staying and chatting a while. One thing to note is that parking can be a little sparse especially if there is an event going on. Overall though I'd give it 5 stars and I would definitely come here again!

Everyone had raved about the Ocean Roll here so I had to see what this was about. An absolutely massive cardamom lemon flavored roll, made fresh daily and thankfully there was plenty in stock so I got two. This thing immediately hits the taste buds and unexpected flavor. Rolls, especially cinnamon rolls always seem to have the flavor, so to have a much lighter side of the flavor spectrum to hit, it really has an unexpected brilliance to it. The size was perfect for sharing and I'm glad I got two to come back to the next morning and warm up. Keep those Ocean Rolls coming back, they're incredible!
