For having lived near here for 5 years I don't think we've ever had takeaway from any of the shops along this strip on Ayr Road so I wasn't really sure where to try. Cathay Cuisine looked bright and inviting on a miserable night, so in I ducked and ordered chips and cheese and a can of coke which was just over £4 in total. The staff were SUPER friendly, particular the young girl working and we had a good chat while I waited on the chips. After about 3-4 minutes, they chips were ready and I headed home. When I opened them, they were deliciously smothered in cheese (not just on top, all through the chips) and tasted like heaven. They needed a wee bit of salt over them, but apart from that, they made for the perfect post-skating snack while watching the remnants of Eurovision. Now that I know about their chips, I fear I'm on a slippery slope into Chinese shop chip addiction. I'm reserving the final star for when I try out the rest of the menu.

That also makes it extremely good value for money, and certainly one of the cheaper take away options that we regularly opt for (you'll get change from an £8 note for a meal for two).
